We stopped here at the recommendation of a stranger, not knowing what to expect. The burgers were big, juicy and flavorful. Beer was cold. The gem of the place was their back patio, with lit up horseshoe pits (it was night time), fire pit burning, friendly servers and the locals were welcoming. We will definitely be back. read more

Undercooked meal, lack of attention to detail and a lot of horsing around made for an under impressed meal and utter waste of money. Spoke to the manager and owner and why would I want a gift certificate if you can't even cook a meal correctly. Too much time on the phone validating all of your excuses and rude to boot and talking over me. Not impressed with the handling of this by the owner, management and certainly will never return to this dirt hole. And please expect excuses for their shortcomings and unprofessional customer service. If you want to dine in a daycare center, this is the place for you! read more

Well the service has gone to shit. Little snot behind the bar needed her attitude slapped off her face. The cook had to come out and tend bar and was swearing under his breath, "fuck this, fuck that, etc... I had to ask for a menu, ask to order, ask for silverware, ask for a drink..... Jesus the attitude of the young shit behind the bar has me pissed. Too young to pour drinks you'd think she'd do some customer service. I'd fire everyone in that place right now and start over. This is a typical country bar that is somewhat kid friendly. Comments about it being a locals hangout are 100% true. I had a bowl of tortilla soup and a slider - both good but not great. I had to send my Diet Pepsi back as the ice made it taste gross. I opted for a Bud Light instead on tap. They have indoor/outdoor seating, video poker, and adult games. I understand the place is known for its Prime Rib for $18. Overall, menu is price very reasonably. Waitress said prices just went up for the first time in four years but my oversized slider was only $1.00. After I was told breakfast service was done I ordered the worst sandwich from them and I got home from my food being undercooked and throwing up!! But yet the people who sat behind me got to order breakfast!! WTF!! If you're looking for something quick this is NOT the place for you. It took about 35 minutes just for some sliders and a few wings. Servers were more occupied with the bar than they were with assisting the tables. I waved down the waitress for a refill and she rudely said "one sec" then walked away and never came back to see what I wanted.. I had to wait until my food came to ask another server for a refill. The service truly was terrible and the food was nothing special.. There's honestly better fast food joints. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone ever. read more

My boss comes here all the time. He loves it. He brought us all here one evening and the food was really good. I wasn't too hungry so I ordered two sliders. Their Sliders are a normal burger size for any other restaurant. They had a special thousand island type sauce on them and pickles I believe. They were pretty darn good imo. A couple of the ladies got some big huge salads that where so massive they had to take more than half of it home. Definitely will come back. read more

The place is a dump. Dirty, scuzzy and full of flies. The service is crap. Its like a clubhouse, and outsiders don't belong. It shouldn't even be open to the public. The whole attitude there is "we could care less if you're here". My margarita was warm, I'm serious - and didn't taste good. The food was gross. Their salad bar is such a joke - its practically like they popped open some Tupperware containers with some toppings in them - and they give you tiny paper plates to use for the salad. The music is MUCH too loud and a weird mix - they played a country tune, Kiss, and Madonna back to back. I'll never go back, and I'll be sure to spread the word. read more

I have been going to the post for over 10 years, It's my favorite bar,love the outdoor area,good food, good people, I live in Portland now, I tell everyone about this bar,. They actually get no stars. Sat for 15 minutes and not one person acknowledged us. Got up and left. We've eaten here before several times and always had less than stellar service but the prices and food were decent so we came back. We will never be back. I absolutely adored this place. Met my little brother and coworkers here for happy hour on a trip back to Oregon. It's a completely typical farm town watering hole and it's wonderful. Everyone in the bar seemed to know each other and they were welcoming to me. It was clean and decorated great. Prices were amazing (hey, I'm a Southern California girl so a $3.75 bloody mary almost made me faint). I think that was the happy hour price, but still!!! I had some french fries and sampled a couple of other appetizers people had ordered and they were all typical bar fare but solid. We played shuffleboard and had a great time. read more

We had a large group gather at the Hitchin' Post tonight. Full house but not crowded. Beer was cold and food was good. The sliders are large, good and cheap! It was rib night and I had the Baby Back ribs. Nice baker, a trip through the modest salad bar and 4 great onion rings. The ribs were tender but only 4 were provided but very good. Several in our group had the French dip and all enjoyed them. Mushroom Swiss burger was popular and tasty! This is not a fancy place but one with a good beer selection and good food! My fiancee and I went there to see SHOWDOWN, awesome cover band by the way. We're from Florida and are southern. The atmosphere was country and surprisingly Southern which we enjoyed tremendously. I left the bar slightly unimpressed with the food, service and the attitude. It took at least 30 mins to get acknowledged and we where at the first table right next to the bar. 45 mins later, when we finally received our food, it was very poor quality, tasteless and definitely not worth the wait. After we received our food we were completely ignored, our drinks were not refilled and our motions were ingored as well. They definitely need more help!! I later found out through my girlfriend that one of the bartenders used what I considered a racial slur "where did the foreign exchanged students go". I got there around 7 pm, and the place was wall to wall people inside and out with only one waitress working, and she was helping the bartender too and so was the owner. Chantell Kraemer I have never seen anything like it in my life. We sat in the outside seating area for a hour and a half waiting for our food. I finally went in and politely asked the bartender (who was not our bartender)what was taking so long. She asked our bartender which table # we were. Our bartender was such a bi*&# and told her we were table six. The bartender walks into the kitchen and comes back out. She said there was still one more order ahead of ours and our food had not even been started yet. We sat back down for another ten minutes. Mind you they had not came out in over a half hour to ask if we needed more drinks. My Mom goes in and asks for refills and the bi*&# said she had just been out there 10 minutes ago and asked if we needed refills which was a flat out lie. We finally just got up and walked out without our food. We went to Porter's and let Chris take good care of us. Should have went there in the first place.
