We had to catch multiple workmanship issues ourselves, and the amount of stress this job caused was unbelievable. I also have serious doubts about some of the 5-star reviews, especially the ones with pictures. I learned my lesson after a lot of stress and money. Do yourself a favor and stay away!

RB Farina roofing replaced an old center-hinged skylight with a nice new solar powered Velux…read moreskylight with remote controlled open/close and blinds. They also re-shingled a small roof area around the skylight that had mold growing on it and sealed leaks in my gutters. The initial visit with Lucas was great - he listened well, looked at our old skylight and flew a drone over the roof to take pictures and gave me a detailed roof inspection. Because the new skylight model would involve a different sized opening, Lucas identified a clever approach to modify the opening size and finish it off inside with a white PVC trim. Lucas was super responsive any time I had a question and was happy to talk through subtle questions about the shingles. The company got a building permit with my town (Belmont, MA), and the team completed the small area re-shingle, opening adjustment and skylight install all in about 6 weeks since I contracted with them - with the intervening time largely being due to finding the right days to work given weather conditions in late winter, which they were thoughtful about working around. The skylight looks and works great and was good quality work at a fair price - thank you RB Farina roofing!

After a Servpro demolition team throughout all the damaged furniture, carpets, wall boards and wall insulation and treated for mold, I started looking to hire a construction company to rebuild: insulation, wall boards, damaged sub flooring, plastering, painting, flooring, and the damaged baseboard heating. Using Yelp and Angie I requested a work proposal and cost estimate from 6 contractors, half of which never got back to me. LB Special Projects owner took time with me to explain the work to be done and answer all my questions. It was clear that he knew his business down to as much details as I wanted to know. His company went beyond the work I requested because they have a high standard of quality. They know you'll be living with the work they do. It's apparent from other reviews that this is a 5 star company. I would add that everyone that worked on restoring my house: carpenters, plumbers, electricians did their work to the same high standard, and were open and helpful to answering my questions I will continue to recommend this company and call upon them for any projects I want done in the future
