I would like to thank Historic Harley Davidson for pulling out a motorcycle out of the store so that my son could take a couple of photos for his senior pictures. My son has loved motorcycles all of his life and has grown up around them. We cannot thank Angie and the GM Darryl enough for their help today and making this special moment happen. We Will definitely be returning soon. They went above and beyond. Thanks for making this special moment happen! read more

Historic Harley Davidson - Senior Photo - Motorcycle Dealers Near Me - Topeka, Kansas

I was on a cross country road trip and my bike broke down and they were extremely helpful in trying to get my bike fixed in a rush so I could get back on the road. Unfortunately the rear wheel was not fixable but they tried everything they could including reaching out to aftermarket shops for a chain that I needed. As well as reaching out to a machinist to see if they could fix the threads in the wheel. They even went as far as to make me an offer for my broken bike as trade in for a new roadglide. Even when I didn't buy a bike from them and they had tried a bunch of options to fix the bike they gave me a ride to get a rental car so I could get where I needed to go. On top of all of this the location is amazing it's so cool to get to see all the old history in this place. It's a very cool Harley shop that you don't see very often anymore with so many Harley shops going very corporate and turning into some run of the mill dealership. This is definitely a dealership that I will do my best to visit again, at some point I will be doing another coast to coast trip and I will make a serious effort to stop at this location again read more

This dealership was amazing!!! Out of all the Harley Davidson dealerships I've been to this was one of the best. Everything from the general manager to the selection of bikes, if I wasn't on a road trip just passing through, I probably would have been riding out of there with a new bike! read more

I am about as far from biker as you're going to get. I don't own one, don't want to own one and don't know a Softail from a Super Glide. I've already used up my entire Harley vocabulary and we're still in the first paragraph. I was obviously here for the Museum downstairs but after finishing a plate of brisket from the barbecue place, I wandered the showroom floor here. Lots and lots of bikes. Some of them factory new, some of them preowned. All of them shiny and sparkling (can a Harley sparkle?) and in fantastic condition. In the accessories department, shirts, hats, jackets and of course, helmets. Most of them with the Harley logo on them. I think the sales folks could tell that I was not going to get them a sale today - they let me browse and did not disturb me. I'm all for that. When you're done with 'cue and done with Historic, check out the Yesterday's Motorcycle Museum downstairs. [Review 11420 overall, 1197 of 2019.] read more

As a truck driver when I'm down waiting on a load I try to find something to do other than just sit in the truck. I be bopped on over to this dealer to check out some bikes. The selection wasn't huge but the person who assisted me on the showroom floor told me they could get what I wanted. They were very informative and let me size up a couple different bikes and gave me the ups and downs of them. Dylan help me make a decision on which bike I should be picking up next no matter where I buy it from. He didn't have a problem with the fact that I was not there to buy a bike but he still took notes of everything that I was saying that I wanted or had observed online about these bikes and made sure to be very informative. He was not pushy. He did not shove himself in my face and try to beg for my information like some dealers. I'm very impressed with the way he handled me through my visit. Some places will just blow you off the second you tell them you are not buying aanything I wasn't given that treatment which is great. I may come back to this dealer to buy my next bike. read more

We make it a habit of stopped in to every HD dealership when we travel. Unfortunately, we got there about 30 mins before closing so we didn't have a ton of time to look around. I didn't realize until we got there, but the Evil Knievel Museum is inside of Historic HD and I really wish we had time to tour it. They didn't have a ton of bikes on the showroom floor, but I'm assuming they had more somewhere else, as the building is very large. I left happy with my T-shirt purchase. read more

Vrooom, vrooom, vrooom, come on over to the Harley shop and get some great gifts in the gift shop. Tons of t-shirts and drinkware, jewelry, mini motorcycles and cars. The staff there are great! I'm asking Santa to do my shopping there this year! read more

Don't ever buy a used bike or get service from these people. They sold a used harley to my son in law that they admitted had parts that weren't designed for it, and their mechanic told us that that was what destroyed the fuel injectors thar it took them over a month to diagnose and replace. On a 2 cylinder engine with an ODB-2 compatible ECM! Maybe they should get some training for their mechanics on how to use simple diagnostic tools. The young lady that was running the service desk (nice girl) told us that we could take the bike home and talk to the general manager the next day about the situation and the unreasonable $900 bill. So we did, and then the sawed-off runt ass-hat of a service manager called my son and his wife about an hour later and threatened them with calling the cops on him. I paid their highway robbery of bill, but they have lost several customers for life, and I would suggest you be very wary of doing any business with them. read more

So me and my wife went to today to see the evil Knievel Museum it was amazing it's a must see. We live about 90 miles away and rode there went downstairs to the evil Knievel museum. The owner was there and was talking with us and asking me and my wife questions about us and if we where having a good time and then at the end of the tour he was there too when we walked out in the show room a very very friendly guy very interactive with all the guests asked if we had checked out of service department and so on and we said yes and we walked outside and my light housing that holds my antenna was hanging off of my luggage rack on the back of my 2015 ultra. So I drove it around the store to the service department The service department completely hooked us up put it back on they said hey no cost we just want you to be able to get home the owner again was there and was happy to help the service department is great and if I ever trade my bike in I'm buying a bike from historic Topeka Harley Davison they have got my business and I will drive 90 miles to do it. Class act Employees class act dealership class act owner great place. You will have my business from now on thank you for your hospitality and professionalism and for helping out. This is long overdue...a few years ago on the return side of another cross country trip a friends bike started act up on route 70 outside Topeka. From experience we've leaned to address the problem quickly before it becomes a big one in the middle of nowhere. From the side of the road we we tried a roadside repair with me running to the dealer for parts...to my surprise when I got to the parts department ,I'm guessing my Boston accent gave me away but the parts manager told me that truck had been sent out to bring back my friends bike. Checked out the museum and cafe ...pretty cool dealership. When my friends bike and him made it back to the shop we were concerned that it may be getting too late for it to be repaired and back on the road again that night. To their credit the got a couple techs to stay after hours to get us back on the road....but it doesn't end there with the genuine hospitality shown by one of the employees... while waiting we were talking about the important things in life ...BBQ and Blues...I wish I could remember his name to thank him personally but he reached out to neighbor BBQ "Lonnies " who was more than glad to slice up some smoked turkey and some drinks. Big thanks to Lonnie for the great BBQ All I can say is thanks to all...you make getting out on the the road a better place when you can make total strangers feel like old friends Thanks again read more

The clothing sales staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Their selection of helmets seemed fairly limited, but they had a great selection of other Harley clothing/riding products. read more

While spending a few days as tourists in Topeka, "Yesterdays Motorcycle Museum" came to our attention, and with two dads with previous motorcycle riding experience and two teenage boys wanting motorcycle riding experience, we decided to check out this museum and the dealership. We were able to stroll right in, as the museum is no cost, and dealership's staff we ran into were friendly and pointed us the way. There are some seriously great vintage pieces with more history then I can understand, but just an eyeful and an appreciation for the models from years past and the racing history behind it all was totally fascinating and worth the trip. Then we went upstairs to the show room and tried a few of the late-model Harleys on for size and everybody had a favorite to pick. I recommend a visit to the museum for anybody interested in Harley Davidson or motorcycle racing or vintage bikes. read more
