These guys are wonderful! My car broke down in the middle of the with day I had it towed there and the next day she was fixed! When I picked my car up I got a list of 'needing this' as you do with any auto shop, but here they told me what to do in which order, AND when I mentioned a problem they didn't know about(my ac being on caused leaking in my passenger floor) I was told "before you pay to do anything get online and check to see if this is plugged you can fix it yourself." I was given an uber to get back home, after leaving my car there. I was also offered a loaner car if needed. It was needed and appreciated. I was happy with padron until one month ago. I have used them multiple times for my 2009 Tiguan. When I first bought it, I asked them to change the timing chain, because the year and model indicated it would go out after 100,00 miles. They refused, and told me that it wouldn't go out. I assumed they knew more about cars than I did, which shockingly(unfortunately) wasn't true. My timing chain went out, and left me stranded, alone, half on the roadway of a two-lane highway in western Kansas- alone and terrified in the dark. I ended up having to purchase a refurbished engine, which has so far taken over 3 weeks to ship, and I have now been without a vehicle for nearly a month. When I asked padron if they would honor the warranty, they denied that they would. After all is said and done, I will be out ~5,000 dollars and ~1.5 months without a car. The timing chain blew while I was in the middle of moving to western KS, of course, so I had to have it towed over 100 miles, then have it towed again for over $100 to a different repair shop in town for them to even look at it since it is a vw. I would think long and hard before trusting their expertise. I did, and the setbacks have been tremendous. read more

2010 F150 that was running a bit rough and kept throwing the timing off code so at 220000 miles we decided that we needed to take care of everything at once. My son and brother replaced oil pump, timing chains, cam phasers and spark plugs and the truck did not start. I would have done the work myself but I am having back surgery in June. I called Robert on the ninth and asked about bringing it in as a basket case as he was to pull the front of the engine back off to check and correct the timing chain possibly being off a link and I told exactly what had been replaced and that the engine cranking over did not sound right. repeated what I wanted him to do and had him send the request for snap finance BECAUSE I knew it would be a good bit of money. I trailered the truck in on the tenth without the headlights and such reinstalled and reminded him that I left everything out so they did not have to tear as much back off to pull the front of the engine back off and he said that he understood again. I did not ask him to start it. Robert called on the eleventh to tell me they had found a couple of things left unplugged so they took care of that and it started and ran for thirty seconds and died. They then found cam sensor not bolted in tight, started it and ran for a couple of minutes and engine locked. Robert said the engine had a lot of metal in the oil and that it had a probable blown head gasket. twelve years of ownership and the antifreeze has only been topped off four times with less than two ounces each time so it most certainly did not need a head gasket. The oil and all filters were just replaced and the engine had not been started yet. Robert said he would put a 100,000 mile warranty reman engine in for $15,000. I picked the truck up today and paid him the 97 dollars. Robert told me at that time that he said it only started the once for thirty seconds and then locked. I asked him what the oil pressure was showing on that new oil pump (yes it has a gauge and not a light), he said they did not have time to see if it had oil pressure. His mechanics notes there was no anti freeze or power steering fluid in it and took pictures so one has to assume that Robert did not direct said mechanic to do as Padron was asked in the first phone call or again on the in person drop. I record all phone conversations and I played back our first conversation and he did say they started it twice. There will be a lawsuit and I will come back and update. You should take your vehicle to just about anybody else in town. Not only was this shear incompetence (30 seconds was not enough time to check the oil pressure gauge) but also a lack customer care. read more

I brought my SUV into Padron Automotive after hearing great things about Nick and his business. I drove 60 miles to have him service my 2009 Ford Escape with more than 166k miles on it. I had been bothered by the smell of fuel from the vehicle...he and his excellent staff diagnosed the problem after I'm sure others would have given up, a small crack in the seam of the fuel tank. He replaced the tank, put new tires on, aligned and replaced some parts on the suspension, checked everything else out. Now my SUV runs and rides like a new car...probably better with the Cooper tires he installed and balanced with his new state of the art balancing machine. Absolutely smooth traveling back home! I called in the morning to see about getting an oil change scheduled. Put on hold for a few minutes while he checked the schedule and said he could get me in at 3, but I could drop it off early since I was meeting someone at 3. So I dropped it off around 1:30. guy at the desk said the oil change guy was out, but took my keys and info. Later got a call and the guy said that he didn't have me scheduled at 4. I reexplained that it was supposed to be at 3. He insisted that I must have called someone else, but he would try to fit me in, but he couldn't do anything without me coming in to get an order filled out. Fair enough, but why didn't we do that when I was already in there, rather than wanting me to drop it off, walk home, walk back to get all the info they need? So I walked back down there, and showed the guy the call record on my phone that showed I had called their number and talked to someone for several minutes. "Huh?" So then he starts filling out the report and typing in the info and is having problems. Asks if I have the registration. Says he needs the vin number and can't make it out. He can't do anything without that info, so they can't do the work, that I was scheduled/not scheduled for. Note: I looked at the vin number on the dash and it was clear as day to me, and it matched the vin number on the registration at home exactly. And no other service station had EVER had any trouble getting that information before. I can read it, every other mechanic had no trouble reading it, but this guy couldn't figure it out. Then he complained that I was rude. Sure Why isn't someone happy to have their whole day wasted by a long line of incompetence? So if you want to go to a place that doesn't know how to schedule an appointment, doesn't get the information they need on your first visit (and blame you for them not getting the info they needed) and a auto place that doesn't know how to read a vin number, and never is able to do they job you schedule hours ago, then this is your place. Otherwise avoid like the plague. I would have gone anywhere else if I hadn't already wasted all day with them for it to be too late to get an appointment anywhere else. read more

He worked with our mechanic back in Denver to ensure the car was fixed and to make sure my mechanic in Denver knew what happened.
