My KitchenAid stove wasn't working ~ wouldn't preheat and wouldn't reach temperature needed. Owner came, looked at it, and said nothing was wrong. Charged me $200+. I asked him if he could take a look at our dryer as it was making a loud noise while drying. He said "sure, for an additional $200+". Seriously?? About a week later I called him again because I was having the same issue with the stove. He came again and, again, said there was nothing wrong with the stove. Again, stove isn't working. However when we attempted to return it to the local store, they would not accept it, saying we had to ship it back. We have a 3 year old Samsung Dryer that has now "gone out" for the third/fourth time this year.... The first time they replaced a sensor and suggested that we clean out the dryer vent. I checked & cleaned the vent and found that it was pretty clear before I cleaned it. The second time they replaced the sensor and said that the vent should be replaced... I told them to replce the vent if necessary (it is a standard vent that appears to be in fine operating condition) the last time it went out they came back and put in a replacement cost without charging for the vist (I do not know the parts mark-up) ... Now it is out again... The service calls this year are going to cost as much as a dryer.....now I am waiting for them (without the use of my dryer) until next week (8 days after my call). I can only hope for a definitive repair this time. read more

While I did not end up using them I recommend this service. They were slammed with repair requests during the pandemic and mine was for a rental property so I could not wait. When I told them I couldn't wait they were helpful with useful information and advice. I hope not to need their services but if I do they will be the first company I call in the future. I waited over a month for my washing machine repair. I called Hiscox to see why it was taking so long and a very rude receptionist told me the parts were still on back order. I asked if there was any idea on a time frame for the repair and was told no matter who I called it would be the same result and that maybe I should try. I gave them two more weeks called and was told that my order was cancelled because I told them I was going elsewhere. Now I have to go elsewhere and will gladly do so. Service calls from this company are exorbitant! Extremely expensive. it seems each time we call them for a repair the cost of showing up to look at whatever you need repaired goes up. This last visit was 300 dollars to tell me that there was nothing that could be done with my refrigerator, and haven't heard back about the other appliance I need repaired. read more

Called because of gas smell when oven was lit. Ed came out, replaced the igniter, and cleaned a spider web out of the burner tube. Oven now works like new. "Oh, by the way, Ed, the right front burner doesn't light the way it should." Turned out to be a faulty igniter, which required a return visit and more work than the initial problem; no extra charge except for the part. Ed was prompt, efficient, and personable. Absolute WORST customer service!! This company was recommended to us by BOSCH; a highly reputable appliance company. It's February 13, 2018 and we've been trying to get these folks out since February 2nd. They wont even call us to let us know what the hold-up is. I keep having to call them. And every time I call, I have to reintroduce myself and all my information as though there is no record of my ever calling in the first place. And I know that I'm on file because I initially gave them the authorization number that let's them know that BOSCH is going to pay the bill for them to come out. We were scheduled for last Thursday and nobody ever showed, or even bothered to called to let us know why. I expressed this during my THIRD call today, and the lady was very bland, and unapologetic about it. We're now scheduled for the 19th; essentially the entire month of February waiting. read more

The service technician who came to my house was knowledgeable and helpful; however, because the repair policy was not explained to me clearly when I called for service, I have lost $135 with nothing to show for it. That is, I was told that there would be a flat fee for service calls, but I would have to pay for any parts needed. The technician claimed that a new part would be five hundred dollars and suggested that I simply buy something new, which they of course could not install. I researched the cost of the part later, though, and discovered that the price quoted was nearly one hundred and fifty dollars more than what I was quoted. I called to ask that I be allowed to buy the part, which I was told I could BUT that I would have to give them another $135 for the repair. DO NOT BE FOOLED by the claim that the initial call is all-inclusive. You either must spend too much for the replacement part that they supply or be charged an unannounced fee for installing an "outside" part. read more
