They were called to replace my son's water heater at night. They said they were coming out and waited hours. Until they called hours later to tell them they would not come out. The next day they came out and told my son's wife they did not have a 40 gallon tank and had to go back and pick one up. When they came back, they installed a 50 gallon tank with a power vent. They never told anyone what the cost was or what they were installing. My son's wife left her son because she had to leave. There was no mention of the cost. She left the credit card to pay the bill (big mistake.). He charged the credit card and left. Oh they were charged $4200. Do not do business with this company. read more

When I called to request service a second time, I was told the prior appointment was not noted on their schedule. Called for service to hot water tank in morning. No one called me all day and stayed home to wait for call. Had to leave to pick up wife at work 3:30. Serviceman showed up when I was gone. Never called me to give a window of time he was coming,just showed up unannoiced. Neighbor talked to him and he called me. I talked to serviceman and gave him garage code to go in and look at. He never looked at tank and just asked how old it was and needed to replaced. He left, I got home totally pissed off. Neighbor suggested I flush heater out with hose to outside. Had a technician in for our yearly furnace maintenance- on our 18 month old furnace- and was shown "pictures" from the blower motor with thick dust and from the ductwork showing drywall pieces. The only problem?!? Our ductwork was cleaned right before we got the new unit, we've had no drywall work done since then, and we change the air filters - that they told us to use- every 2 weeks. So, after I turned down a $1400 duct cleaning and an $800 blower motor service, the technician got an attitude, packed up his box and walked out of my house. No respect for your time. Doesn't show up for appointments. They called me and scheduled my AC check (Appointment window of 8AM-12PM). I got a text at 7:15 AM and a call at 7:19 AM and I had to confirm to both of them. I took off work for this appointment. They never showed up for the appointment till I was already back to work at 2:21 PM (They left a "Sorry we missed your door hanger." No call, no text to say they were not showing up in scheduled appt time, no call, no text saying they were showing up later, saw on doorbell video that tech sat in my driveway for almost 25 minutes for nothing. I have spent $27,596.00 with this company within the last year and half and this is how they disrespect me and my time. Will they even honor my warranty on my purchases? Who knows? Do yourself a favor and purchase your furnace and air conditioner from someone else who will respect you after you buy from them, because this company is horrible and will not. read more

I called to have them fix our furnace. The guy on the phone asked what year it is, which I answered (1972). He made the appt and the tech showed up, later than estimated, but he showed up. My husband showed him the furnace and explained what was wrong. The tech took a pic with his phone and said he won't be able to get any parts since they stop offering parts after like 20 years. First, if they can't get any parts - why set me up with an appt? Oh I know, it's so they can try to sell me a unit! He gave us pricing for a replacement unit and charged us $99! Yes, $99 for what turned out to be a quote! He was supposed to send me a receipt by email, which I never received. Did the tech pocket the cash? I'm going to call the office in the morning and see what they tell me. I do NOT recommend this company! If they would've told me over the phone that the visit was for a quote to sell me their products and service, I would've known what to expect. But to send someone out as a service call, just to mislead me, is untrustworthy! They just lost a customer and a sale, as we will now purchase elsewhere! read more

I haven't used them for plumbing and heating, and I won't and here's why.....I had noticed that their drivers are terrible, cutting people off, rolling stops at stop signs, but today took the cake. I saw an employee pumping gas into a company vehicle while smoking a cigarette! I notified the attendant and they said he does that all the time! Not only is that unprofessional, it's incredibly dangerous! If that's their level of integrity and how they represent themselves there's no way I'd let them in my house. read more

I scheduled my annual heating and cooling checkups, per my agreement. Service people came out for the heating system, and two different men on different visits told me my 9 year old system was builders grade, and was wearing through the exchange system... a fire hazard. They showed me pictures of the inside supposedly, where the heat had burned holes through the equipment. They both tried to sell me a new system for $14,000 -$15,000 to avoid the "Fire hazard". Thankfully, I contacted a retired HVAC person who agreed to come check it out. There was no problem! No need to be replaced... Similarly, they had checked on my air conditioning system and said there was no problem. A few weeks after that visit, my air conditioner went out, so I called this retired man to check it. He showed me that they had previously used the wrong size capacitor in mine, and had jerry rigged it with ties to fit mine. It was what caused the problem , so this man replaced it with the larger required capacitor and it worked fine. I have found others since then who have faced the same scam, and have been intimidated into buying the new systems for thousands of dollars... what a ripoff! read more

The last place in the world I'd recommend to do anything at my house. They send kids over with little to no experience, who then call the "professional" on FaceTime to walk them through the work. To say the least it's poorly poorly done. I don't get how they are even in business. Half the time the guy on FaceTime is screaming at the kid that's he's not taking the picture correctly. Reviewing for mom here. She has had work done in the past and said it was decent, minus she didn't like the fact that they just put a big sticker on her furnace without asking. However she won't be calling back in the future. She called to try and set up an appointment for her AC and is understanding that it is a busy time of year for that type of repair. But whomever she got on the line basically scoffed at the idea of coming out in the short term and didn't even offer to try and set something up down the road. 5/18/22 Called on a Sunday for main house drain plugged with water backing up in basement. Was told they couldn't get to me until Friday. At this time a also found they did not receive my check for yearly maintenance contract. Check was issued in January and have still heard nothing. Then guess what...same leak came back on 1/1/22. Called them on 1/3 and spoke to receptionist who transferred me to the voicemail of mgr Ben. Left a voicemail mail and got no response. Over the summer, we needed to have our A/C recharged. A very simple procedure. I was pushed to buy some "package deal." Which I turned down 3 times, but the technician proceeded to push. So I gave in, bought the package so he'd recharge my unit. The package included free inspections throughout the year. So fast forward to 2 days ago. A technician came out and told me I needed to replace a capacitor for $70 along with cleaning my internal fan for an additional $370. I am lucky to have friends in the HVAC field so asked them a few questions. I learned how I can check my own fan along with the capacitor. I wiped my finger across the blades of the fan and had no dust on it and the capacitor is showing no signs of needing replaced. read more

A high estimate was given for fixing a drain problem. They told me my drain was backing up due to a venting problem. They supposedly cleaned out the drain, but it didn't help. I decided to get another estimate before I spent a lot to have the vent looked at. Another company came out cleaned out the drain, and it has been working perfectly for over a month. Summers will NEVER get our business again and 100% would NOT recommend them to do any sort of work for anyone! My grandmother had them put a brand new furnace in the house a few years ago and we recently had a few other company's out to get quotes for more duct work to go upstairs and every single one of them said that when the furnace was put it that there were so many things that they did that were NOT up to code! My grandma had one more service that was paid for to get a tune up on the furnace so we scheduled the appointment about 10 days ago and were told by the other companies that came out that they would end up canceling because "they didn't have enough techs and other calls were more important that they had gotten calls for first thing this morning" we had hoped that wouldn't happen, but yet here we are and those other companies were RIGHT! We got that exact call at 9:58am and our service time was between 10am-12pm today. And when I told her about all the terrible not up to code items that they had done and how they took advantage of my grandmother she could honestly care less and had made many excuses and said everything "I wanted to hear" (which clearly at that point I could careless) just to get me off the phone! I sincerely from the bottom of my heart hope that NO ONE ELSE EVER USES SUMMERS so that they don't have these same issues with there terrible service techs that clearly don't know what they r doing and the terrible customer service representative that doesn't care either and doesn't know what she's doing!!! 10/10 negative for me!! read more

Totally ripping off the elderly. They called and talked my mother in law into cleaning the furnace. Upon showing up they talked her into changing her garbage disposal, that she never uses. They charged her $580 for a new disposal, now want to come back tomorrow to clean the furnace for another $300. Do don't use this company. I had a review of my AC,Heating and Plumbing on 9/29. I had the most respect for Kyle (Plumbing and Phil AC/Heating) for their professionalism. I am old. They did not take advantage of that but were diligent in explaining what was going on with the systems and what I might like to look out for in the future. In another residence I had an all electric home so I was not familiar with all the ins and outs of furnaces etc. They were masked and booted which I appreciated.
