I do not recommend Hiro Tea Bar if you have food allergies. I would give zero stars if I could. I ordered a mango-peach yogurt crush shake. The picture advertising it does not contain chai seeds nor did the lady tell me all of the toppings that come on the shake. It Once it was prepared I saw the chai seeds and explained that I was allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, and seeds. I asked if another shake could be made without the seeds. I noticed some new faces of the people working here too; the owner of this place was probably changed or something. I often come to this area to eat and was wondering why this tea place is always so empty; there are rarely any customers, but me :). Now I know why. 1. The prices of their beverages are so much higher than at other places. 2. There aren't anything special that make their milk tea taste better than what other places have to offer. 3. They do ridiculous up-charge when customers want to switch from dairy to non-dairy milk. I will be happy to give good tips, but I think charging people extra just because they choose a different milk is ridiculous. read more

We tried the rose milk tea and purple yam milk tea with the former being our preferred drink. Rose milk tea: minimum sugar is 30% but still quite sweet. We came in on a Sunday..it was sooo hot inside. There is a kiosk you can order from or order at the counter. We got a few drinks but they were out of some things. The drinks were good not too bad Thai tea wasn't powdery. The matcha strawberry was good. The chocolate temptation wasn't tempting. It came out frozen so you have to allow it to sit out for a few. I stopped by yesterday after dinner and got the oolong black pearls milk tea latte. This was completely underwhelming for the $7 I paid. The milk tea seemed unbalanced, like the milk was not milk. I know that doesn't make any sense but the drink just seemed watered down even though there was a good strong tea flavor. The boba were dull and not fully cooked. You place your order on a giant touchscreen but there are no options to customize your drink. Luckily, the drink was not too sweet. Not sure if it's because it was watered down. Decided to come here after enjoying KBBQ at Morning House. I came with my friend, we were both curious about this place. My usual go-to for a after dinner sweet is Snowflake, but we wanted to try this place. Upon entering, no one said hello, but we saw the touch screens where we can place our order. The place is very small on the inside, not meant for large groups. This would be a nice place for a date or double date. We arrived at 8:30pm, 30 min before closing. Usually I don't come to places that close to closing time but we really wanted to try this place. We ordered drinks and dessert, but two of the desserts we had ordered and paid for were not available and she didn't tell us until AFTER we paid (you pay first before you get your items). That's something that shoulda been made clear upon arrival "hey welcome in ladies, unfortunately the red velvet cake and chocolate cake are not available just a FYI" or something along those lines.... Anyways, she did offer a replacement cake which we took. My friend got a fruit topped cake and I got a pistachio cake. They were okay. The drinks we got were decent. I got the Mango Matcha Milk with 70% sugar. I shoulda got the 100%. 8:45pm comes and one of the make workers starts hollering that they're closing soon. Okay? 8:55pm comes and he's hollering again "guys! We're closing in 5 min!" OKAY?!!! like...... bruh if yall gonna be like that yall should lock the doors at 830... wtf? I don't know if they had a bad day or just got robbed, I dunno but I don't like the attitude. I may try this place again someday but not anytime soon. 4.5 stars. Quick service, staff are polite, and the fruit tea's are really refreshing. I was able to adjust the sweetness of the tea's to my liking each time I've visited. There is a bit of space to sit outside if you want some fresh air, which is nice. Some of the milk teas were a miss, and tasted average at best, which is why I took off half a star, but overall, this is a great place to visit. read more

Hiro Tea is such a gem! I got the Four seasons milk tea with boba. It was such a delightfully fragrant and flavorful tea that I could tell was made fresh, along with the boba that was the right amount of sweetness and the right balance of soft and chewy. They definitely do not cut corners with the quality of their tea here. The interior of the store is spacious, clean, and cute. You can definitely spend time here hanging out while you enjoy your tea and desserts, if you choose. The employees are also super friendly! I was excited to try this place today 6/1/24. They had 3 employees at the register and not even one of them can tell you what kind of dessert they have. They were all so clueless and can't answer a simple question. The photos looks appealing but in reality they have only 3 slices of cake in the window. I just walk out. Even though I'm sad to see Yi Fang Tea go, I was pleasantly surprised by Hiro. I got my old go-to, the pineapple green tea with grass jelly and it was delicious, but most of my pineapple purée was not fully blended which made it difficult to drink. My fiancé was shocked by the presence of seeds in his passion fruit tea, but that to me makes the tea feel fresher and less of a guilty pleasure. Will definitely be returning. read more
