The system was stuck in a recovery loop, BitLocker was triggered, and Windows wouldn't load or even reliably enter repair mode. Multiple shops I called said it would take several days just to diagnose the issue. Matt turned it around in essentially one day. Once I got the computer home, it crashed once the game was being played and they said they did everything they could and I was out of luck. I decided months later to see Adam at nerd rangers. He was very thorough in gaining background on the issue. He asked me whether the other repair shop tried to run the actual game? I was not sure so he went ahead and loaded Fortnite and said he would do his best to replicate the issue. I called Triple Check Techs and an extremely knowledgeable person answered the phone. He asked me a few questions and then told me how I could go about fixing the problem by getting an inexpensive device from a computer store. I will 100% use Triple Check Techs for all of my computer repairs in the future.

It sounds like the business is run out of the various techs' houses; they prefer to pick up your computer and the fee for doing so ($69) is applied to the service. Tim came by a little later than he'd said (well, it was a Saturday) and was polite and professional. He called Monday with a price; computer was repaired the next day and dropped off where I work. There's a 30-day warranty for most work. Included in the $190 or so price: removing a virus, providing advice on how I got it, a reminder that our internet provider gives customers free antivirus software, a complimentary data backup, and pickup/dropoff. Hope I won't be back soon, but I'll call these folks again if I have troubles. Checks and credit cards OK.
