The individual I was dealing with was a bit inexperienced, so I confirmed with the manager before purchasing. Two hour later I returned with the purchase, two full cases and one half case because they sold me the wrong thing. I told them I wanted to return them then, and I was informed of the 30% restocking fee. Mind you, it was 2 hours later and they sold me the wrong items. When I asked where the policy was posted they pointed me to a small sign in front of the counter, 3 feet from where you purchase the items. The sign should be in direct view. They then proceeded to try and sell me another $11/unit item (an additional $122 + tax to be able to use what they sold me, but they couldn't tell me with certainty that they would work Two weeks later I met with an electrician who shared their experience with this company and that they don't do business with them any longer. That was enough for me to hear. So, I returned the items, took my lumps, told them they lost a customer, and here I am leaving this review. I'm an advocate for supporting the the small business owner, but not this business. ZERO STARS.

Ferguson Home in the Scottsdale Airpark may just have the absolute worst customer service.... EVER…read more We're in the process of a complete reno - down to the studs. I first visited the showroom to buy appliances...not one person would help us. We ended up leaving and buying $23k worth of appliances at another nearby retailer that same day. When it came time for plumbing fixtures...2 bathtubs, faucets for entire home and 3 shower systems, we visited again. We walked through on two separate occasions for ideas. Each time, there was one female employee sitting at her desk - not engaging with anyone else, not on her computer...just sitting there. She didn't acknowledge us and stared right through us when we started to approach her. Perhaps I'm just a glutton for punishment, but we visited again this week to purchase all of our plumbing fixtures but left with nothing. Why? Because we couldn't find anybody willing to assist us. Not even the receptionist acknowledged us when we walked in. My husband finally approached the receptionist and said we needed sales assistance. She said she would put out a message to the team but wasn't sure anyone would answer it. After walking around the store for another 10 to 15 minutes, we left...forever. I'm not sure if employees simply aren't required to offer customer service, or if they screen potential customers based on attire -- we visited multiple times during the blazing hot summer in shorts and t-shirts. Either way, it's bad business, and we won't be back.

Had a great experience with Todd going over my project concept…read more Todd came prepared for the project review, provided better ideas (design, products, etc.) and qualified them with his past experience, product enhancements (of his own design) and with his knowledge of products I already have been using and was very familiar with. North Star does big, serious and complex designs and installations for large homes and estates. My home and my project were both modest (by comparison) and he never treated me or my project any differently. I was given a clear estimate for the work, including a detailed break down of cost, products, sub contract specialists, and full technical details - all of which were easy to comprehend and imo fairly priced for the value. In fact, Todd spent extra time with me discussing my current installation and sharing his knowledge and experience with my products and my curiosity about them --it was like talking shop with an ol' friend. I ended up delaying my project (for reasons) but my experience with Todd convinced me that the only person in the whole valley I'd trust to do my outdoor lighting projects with are North Star and Todd.

An Outstanding Experience!…read more We recently contracted with Todd Meyer at North Star Outdoor Lighting to completely redo our landscape lighting in the front and rear of our home in Scottsdale. From start to finish, we could not have been happier with Todd and his team. When he first came to our home, Todd outlined a very detailed plan for lighting that would accent our home and plants. Importantly, he did not recommend an excessive amount of lighting but gave us a plan that would illuminate the driveway and walking paths and enhance our landscaping and home. He helped us select the appropriate fixtures for our architecture and landscaping and gave us a very reasonable proposal. On the day of installation, Todd and his team arrived promptly and got to work, removing our old landscape lighting, and installing the new transformers, power lines and fixtures. In a day and a half, the project was completed. Todd and his team thoroughly cleaned up everywhere they had worked and then walked us through all they had done. Interestingly, it was early afternoon when they finished so we could not see the "finished project" until the lights turned on that evening. When the sun set, and the lights came on, it was a magical transformation of our property. It was a pleasure working with Todd and his team and we were delighted with the results. If you are considering outdoor lighting, we highly recommend Todd Meyer and North Star Outdoor Lighting.

She took the time to talk to us, show us options, and gave us no pressure at all. We explained what we were doing in our kitchen and she led us to some great over the counter lights and a chandelier for over the breakfast nook area. It was insane! When I put the lights in my AI image of our kitchen, everything clicked and came together. I appreciate Norma Jean's personality and expertise!
