Had the same experience as Kristina and Karen in other comments: booked an appointment 2 days ago. 1 hour before (!) the scheduled time I got a text asking for my address. I answered and I get another one saying I live too far. Same as the other reviewers I emptied my car and prepared everything... The bare minimum here would be to ask for address during the booking process and call people asap to cancel if they are too far. We're all busy professionals here and I'm not happy when my time is not respected. read more

We have been using Hines for more than 4 years and we will never change that The most friendly, respectful and professional gentleman On top of all that, which is really rare to get, he does a perfect job Recommend him with great confidence read more

Robert does an excellent job, we use his services regularly and he always ends a text when he's heading over and is so professional and friendly every time. Our minivan and sedan always look amazing after he's done, especially considering our kids are constantly in and out of our vehicles. Would highly recommend! read more

I had an appointment scheduled for May 22nd at 1pm. I made the appt. Six weeks prior. The day of the appt. At 12:57pm, I received a text stating "Due to the recent shootings in the Richmond area we will have to reschedule our appt. Sorry for the inconvenience" This is very unprofessional and I do not recommend this business! read more

Robert does a great job and provides a professional detail to your car. My car looked better than when I purchased it. Better quality than what you'd get at a chain wash for sure. read more

If you are looking for a top notch mobile detailing service at affordable prices, then look no further because Robert is AMAZING! We just had him do a complete detail of two cars (one that is a 2006) that we're trying to sell and he was here for 6 hours and they look brand new. I have a feeling we're not going to have much trouble selling the cars. Not only was the end result fabulous but Robert was so personable and professional. He was very responsive when reaching out to book, he was on time, and brought all his own equipment. Without a doubt check Hines Mobile Detailing out. You will not be disappointed! read more

Robert is awesome! My car looks as clean as when I drove it off the lot!! It was my first time using him and he replied very promptly when I sent him a text inquiring if he serviced my area. He arrived on-time for our appointment, my car literally gleams after his work, and he also provided a link to an online booking tool to make my scheduling even easier in the future. I would recommend Robert to anyone looking for an excellent job at an extremely reasonable price from a highly professional company. read more

It's so convenient that Robert comes directly to your house. He spent about 3 hours on my car and it looked like new afterwards. Also I really appreciated that the car didn't have a bad chemical smell afterwards from the cleaning products. I definitely recommend him! read more

We're THRILLED! We just had our car detailed today, and had to write. Definite five-star rating from us. Our car was vandalized recently, and we needed a VERY thorough vacuum job to get up the feathers and slivers of glass. We decided to have the upholstery and floor carpets cleaned at the same time, and DAMN!! It looks fantastic!! We now feel very safe to drive around without having to worry about glass fibers that didn't get sucked up; Robert did a very, very thorough job. He got stains out of the carpets that we had never known could possibly come out. The upholstery looks brand-new. Robert was extremely pleasant, professional, friendly, and so easy to work with. He came to US, which was so nice after having been vandalized. He washed the exterior of the car even though all we'd asked for was interior detailing. He turned an ugly experience into a really good one. Scheduling was simple, he got back to us promptly -- we are just delighted with his service! We'd definitely contact him again for detailing. Thank you, Robert! read more

Robert is the best. The cars haven't looked this good since we purchased them new and drove them off the lots. The years of wear and tear from my 3 boys and countless coffee stains were no match for Robert's magic. Very professional and nicest person. read more

Robert was great and prompt to schedule a onsite wash quickly over the phone. Very professional and spends time in delivering great results. Highly recommend him. He washed both my bmw's all on the same visit and have done a great job. Thank you Robert, see you soon for my other car. read more

Robert was super friendly and dedicate to his work. My car looks stunning after complete detailed in and out. Much better job compare with any other places that I went to. No hassle, no scratch on your car. His price is unbeatable. Plus his little son is super adorable :D He even tried to save you water, which I highly appreciated during this awful drought in CA. I love his service and will be a happy return customer. Highly recommended. read more

I would give Robert 6 stars if I could. His service is impeccable and the end product was almost shocking. I am selling my car and wanted to have it spruced up for some craigslist photos... I didn't expect this level of awesomeness. I'm going to get a couple hundred dollars more on my sale price because of how pristine the car looks. It looks brand spanking new. Worth every penny and the 30% tip. read more

If I could give Robert 10 stars, I would!!! I love, love, love him and his meticulous attention to detail! I have used his services for the last 3 years to get my friend's vehicles better than new after visiting the Playa (Burning Man). For anyone's who's been, you know the dust gets EVERYWHERE! Well, the dust is absolutely no match for Robert. After 3 burns you would think I wouldn't be so surprised by the outcome, but my jaw still drops every time. Let me put it to you this way... 2 burns ago I borrowed my client's truck for the burn. I promised him I would return it better than I got it. I guess I (with Robert's help of course) really delivered because this year he asked me if I wanted to borrow it for the Burn again!!! To quote him exactly, he said he really wanted me to borrow it because I would get it detailed by my guy again! Amazing, right!?! read more

Robert was so professional and his work is impeccable. I was so impressed how great my car looked. Inside was spotless and outside shiny like new. We will definitely be using his service again read more

Robert was amazing! When I opened the car door I literally gasped at what he had done. He had completely erased 3 years of toddler damage. Courteous, kind, and super talented at what he does! Thank you!! read more

I can't give 0 stars... but if I could, I would. After a great referral from a friend, I messaged Robert toward the end of April to schedule a session for him to detail my car as a gift from my husband for Mother's Day. I mentioned to him that we live on a treacherous canyon road, which is why my car badly needed detailing from the muddy winter we had. He was booked through mid May, so we settled on today for him to come toward the end of May. At the time that we booked back in April, he asked for my address. This morning, I gutted out my entire car, along with a stroller, 2 car seats, floor mats, etc. in anticipation of his arrival thinking it would be easier for him to get started. My appointment was at 3:30pm and at 3:44pm I get a text noting that I live too far away. I am beyond upset, what a waste of my day waiting for him to show up and taking the time to prep my vehicle. Happy flippen Mother's Day to me! Extra work. Do NOT use Robert Hines Mobile Detailing. You get what you pay for... awful customer service. read more

The best!!!!! My car looks brand new after Robert is done with it. Love the convenience of him coming to my home. Highly recommend

Robert is very professional! We just leased a new car and they tried to sell us the sealing package for the exterior and interior. Having a two year old and the car being a lease, I wanted the interior sealed for sure. He came out and did the exterior and interior protection at a fraction of the cost the dealer was quoting. Pass on the dealer's ridiculous prices and support your local hardworking business! Thanks Robert. read more

I was referred to Hines through my manager who gets her car washed about 2 times a month he did an amazing job so I decided to get my car done he did such a good job because my car was just terrible that I referred him to my mom who drives all the way to concord to get her car washed at the BMW dealer ship . She contacted Robert and they made an appointment for Sunday October 25, 2015, my mother had to take my sister to an appointment that day in Berkeley and they agreed to meet at her house in Oakland. Once he arrived he stated that hes from Richmond and doesn't know about Oakland area . Now I lived with my mom for 20 years and only since getting my own place have not and not once in my entire life has there been any crime on that street ever. She then offered to have the cars washed on my grandmothers property he agreed as she got the 3 cars ready he told her he was going to make a U-turn to be more accommodating for the cars and drove off and never came back . My mom called several times to see where he was and what was going on and he had turned his cell phone off completely . I then called from my cell and went straight to voicemail as well as my Manager who originally referred me was ignored. This is the most unprofessional thing I've ever seen in my life. I called him today 10/29/2015 to see what happened and if we could maybe work with him again and when I asked him about the issue he stated " MAN I AINT TRIPPIN I DONT NEED THE BUSINESS" and hung up in my face. Run a business with professionalism don't be a disrespectful coward. read more

This is the first time I've posted a review on Yelp. Robert spent 2 hours detailing my Subaru, removing some very stubborn stains from the light cloth interior; a difficult feat for detail hacks like me. From the first phone call to driving off in my Subie, Robert was professional, friendly, and will give you and your wheels the attention you won't get at the commercial car washes. I left with a car that looked like it just rolled off the showroom floor. The basic interior/exterior detail is $60. This included the product(s) and extraction used to remove the stains. I always will try and support a small business owner before going to the mass commercial and recommend giving Robert a call. read more

Called Robert in the early am, was able to make appt. that afternoon. Robert came to my house, such a gentlemen. My car didn't even look that good when I purchased it. Please don't pass this one by. You can doing all you need to do in your home or garden while your car is getting pampered by the best. Thank you Robert! read more

I just had Robert detail my Audi S5 and my wife's Lexus RX-350 and he did an OUTSTANDING job. We set up the appointment over 2 weeks ago and last night he sent a text confirming we were good to go. Arrived at my house exactly when he said he would and went to work even tho it was under 40 degrees outside! The cars look great inside and out. Shampoo'd the carpets, used clay and wax on both cars. over 3 hours on each car.. Spotless! My wife's comments were "Love It" and "Good as New"... Robert was polite, professional, very well priced and I WILL be calling him back! read more

My car looks and smells amazing! It is cleaner and sleeker than ever and finally feels like MINE. In addition to the fantastic attention to detail on both the interior and exterior as well as the convenience of coming to my home (yay, I can study for midterms while my car is serviced!) Robert is just a great guy. He was very polite and friendly, arrived EARLY (major plus!), and even did I quick rinse on my mom's Mustang just because it was in the driveway looking sad next to my newly gorgeous car. With his excellent work, personable nature, and unbeatable pricing he will definitely be my go-to guy the next time I need my car to really shine. read more

You will not be disappointed! He brings all of the equipment that he needs and just puts in work. He works really hard and your car will shows that! Someone gifted me with a car detailing from HMD in 2013 my car was so bad (if someone is giving you a car detailing as a gift you are probably LONG overdue, at least I was) Robert made my car spotless! He is extremely thorough and does an AMAZING job. He's detailed my car 4 other times and once for my mom and every time he has done an outstanding job! Over time I lost his number and just got it from the friend who got me the car detailing and called HMD to do my car again. Once again he's done a great job He is always on time, very careful and puts a lot of work into what he does. Extremely professional and worth more then what he charges. read more

Awesome! This guy does it all! I spent so much time searching yelp for a mobile detailing service that didn't cost like 150-200 for a full interior/exterior detail. Robert and his sons did an amazing job on my 20018 black Toyota Camry! I was able to schedule the appointment for the very next day, Robert even offered to do it same day if needed. He called to say he was running a little early and wanted to know if it would be okay to come over. I appreciated his call and was happy to have him come at his convenience as I was home for the day. They arrived and were professional, polite, and just good people. I immediately trusted them and knew they would take good care of me. They spent over 2 hours working on my car. When they were done I was amazed at the results. They had been able to remove stains that I never thought wicked come out, old, set in stains. They pricing for full detail, including wash and wax, upholstry cleaning, and everything was only $75! We gave him $100 and he tried to give us back change, we insisted that he keep it. Very impressed, and will be sure to recommend him and his boys to anyone I know looking for a detail service. Thank you, Robert!! read more
