When we arrived at her studio in Stanwood, the atmosphere was absolutely perfect for a newborn - dim lighting, soothing music, and a warm environment. The studio was super clean, and even had a bathroom with a changing station and diapers / wipes in case we needed them. There were many hats, blankets, and props to choose from. I am really picky when it comes to new photographers but Ana was referred to us and so I thought we would give her a try. It was our first "mini session" and I was afraid a timed mini session anywhere would feel rushed (especially with a toddler) but we did not feel rushed at all. Ana was very patient and created a stress-free environment, she let us take our time with every pose, and even got our toddler to smile quite a bit (which in the past we found difficult for anyone else to make him smile). She knows how to work with little ones! She had great ideas for poses as well and also made sure there weren't any specific poses we wanted that were left out. Courtney is more than just a real photographer; she is an artist. When I showed up for the photo shoot, I was as nervous as can be. It's silly but true. Put me in front of a crowd of people to speak, a high school full of students, even when faced with that service writer about to tell me "Lola" (my car) needs "a bit more work than we were hoping...".
