Jon took my surprise proposal photos and the experience went great! Many pro photographers never…read moreget the chance to capture that experience. The surprise was not spoiled (except for my inevitably suspicious lady who wondered why I asked her to keep a certain Saturday open). Jon and I met at the Lord Hill Regional Park the day before to scope out the area and find an optimal spot with optimal evening lighting and spot for a picnic. The next day, my lady and I drove to the park and I was happy to see Jon talking on the phone with his telephoto lens hidden, ignoring us to keep the surprise. Then, he followed us to the proposal spot keeping his distance and got sharp, beautiful photos of an important moment. Thank you! He used the latest Canon full-frame mirrorless camera (EOS R) and a high end ~300mm lens, which was great to keep the quality good even with high ISO for the shady conditions. He used manual exposure settings and Spot focus, to make sure the camera focused on the right thing for the photos (not a branch, e.g.). Perfect! We got 98 photos for $500, which I think is a good deal. The photo choices (removing the duplicates), cropping, and editing were great. The only comment my lady and I have is that our skin had a green tint in the photos, but we could fix that in minutes in Adobe Lightroom to all 98 photos by adjusting the color balance and tint. We posted our photos on Facebook and also got printouts and our friends loved them.

Last year I found him via a Facebook post about his Santa sessions. I did the math and realized that two low-quality, amateur Santa photos at the mall is $90+ tax these days. Jon's bundle for the 15 minute appointment (no waiting in line), private meeting with Santa, and 6 professionally edited photos for not *that* much more is what sold me to sign up and give it a try. And he delivered!! It was fantastic. We were able to do a family shot, family with Santa, both our girls with Santa, both of them individually with Santa too. Jon was very professional and the studio looked festively fantastic. And so did Santa! Top notch outfit, and very friendly and authentic. The girls were addressed by name from the get-go (info collected at appointment scheduling) which added to the experience even more. We plan to continue coming annually for our Santa photos as long as its offered! Thank you Jon!

Heather Mayer Photography is incredible! I needed a photographer for maternity photos ASAP, as I'm…read morehigh risk pregnancy and had no idea how long I would be pregnant for. Heather was able to schedule me within two weeks of reaching out to her. On the day we initially scheduled, it was very rainy and she was able to reschedule for a few days later. My maternity photos were unconventional, as I had my 4 best girl friends in the photos with me. Heather made it feel like we were getting our bridal party pictures taken. She was great at guiding us through poses and getting the best backdrops. I've received so many compliments on how beautiful the pictures were, and cannot wait to receive all of the other ones. My family is already planning on when to get our family photos done by her. She was great to work with!

I was searching for a local photographer who uses natural scenery verses a studio, and most importantly knows how to capture freestyle moments and not only poses. I found several photographers, but EGD photography gallery was spot on what I was seeking. Edlyn promptly responded to my inquiry via email, and continued really great follow up throughout the coming weeks. She provided multiple locations that fit exactly what I was seeking and made a point to learn as much about my children as she could to best capture them naturally in their happiness. On the day of the Edlyn was well prepared and extremely patient with three children ages 5, 3, and 1. She took a little over a week to curate a very beautiful gallery, it was really tough selecting 25. The final touches took another few days, and I received EXACTLY what I was envisioning, I'm truly happy and will work with her again. Helpful tips if you select EGD Photography Be mindful to check your emails, I'm terrible with locating personal emails I greatly appreciate her patience and flexibility accommodating my delayed responses. Also her turnaround time providing an unedited gallery is up to two weeks, be patient I promise you'll love what she's captured. Thank you Edlyn for capturing my vision; I highly recommend!

It knit together many moments of our wedding; I particularly love the way he captured the atmosphere of the reception venue and our first look. This is something I didn't realize till later: finding a videographer who you can really be yourself around is so important! Austin's joyful, gracious, creative presence was a gift on that day. It's been so wonderful to be able to watch highlights of the wedding and just remember, be in it again. He also made a little extra video for us of our wedding dance that we so treasure. Thank you Austin!

Maybe that statement alone speaks of how talented he is. He was able to capture a day filled with so much love and emotion that you can't even describe it with words and perfectly represent it in a film that you can watch over and over to relive that marvelous day. Austin has a true artistic eye as well as the warmest heart! From the first conversation he was such a pleasure to work with. He even flew all the way from Seattle to Santa Barbara for our wedding and stayed late so he could capture footage of us on the beach that he knew would be beautiful in the film. We chose to do private vows because I am very shy and wanted that moment to be a beautifully intimate moment between my husband and I but Austin made us feel so at ease that we let him tape it and oh my goodness am I glad I did! After all was said and done we got back the most gorgeous, beautiful, intimate video that shows our joy and love. I have not shown the video to a single person who has not cried due to how beautiful it is! Austin perfectly read my husband and I and created a video for us that feels as though you are stepping into our love as you watch it. I cannot recommend Austin enough, he was a joy to work with and has an unbelievable talent for videography. No matter where we may live in the country I would personally fly Austin out to capture all of our special moments from here on out!
