Our waiter checked on us regularly and made sure our water glasses were always full, which is a small thing but goes a long way during a busy night. We started with ginger tea, which was warm, fragrant, and a great way to kick off the meal. For food, we ordered two appetizers, along with the chicken korma and butter chicken, and everything was phenomenal. The flavors were rich and comforting. One detail I appreciated was that the rice came in individual servings instead of one large shared bowl, which made it easier for everyone at the table. The rice and garlic naan were average to good as well. However, our butter chicken and our chicken korma tasted like nothing. It was very strange. There was texture and you could kind of taste the chicken itself but the sauces tasted like nothing. You could almost only tell the two apart based on color and texture. We ordered one of them medium spice and one mild. Even the medium spiced dish had zero flavor. I kind of thought to myself that something was off when the colors looked bright but we couldn't taste a thing. I kept thinking maybe the flavor or heat will build. It never did. Nevertheless we ate everything bc we were starving, but we were definitely disappointed in the lack of flavor. Not long after we left, our stomachs were kind of on edge but we figured this was simply from eating too much. This morning we both woke up ILL. Even though we discussed coming back for the chili momo only in the future, we have since changed our tune. I love locally-owned businesses and hate to leave a bad review but we truly did not have a 4+ star experience here. We won't be back.
