Would not recommend this hotel. The photos online are gorgeous but very misleading. The rooms are in desperate need of an update between broken outlets, visibly dirty vents, and uncomfortable beds. The service is no better. The gentleman who drove us to our room was very vocal about how unhappy he was with his teammates and seemingly, his job overall. We also ordered room service from one of the resort's three restaurants and it was inedible. We ended up ordered Jack in the Box through DoorDash after experiencing the frozen, fishy calamari and rotten, overcooked asparagus, etc. Overall the accommodations were WELL under expectations for a Hilton Brand Resort. I hope some renovations and improvements are made because it has the potential to be as beautiful as it's scenery, which currently outshines it. read more

Very helpful front desk. Got us checked in extra early. Room was clean. The safe wouldn't lock so we called the front desk and security was up in 5 minutes to fix it. Very comfy bed. Great water pressure in the shower. A little difficult to find our room but a nice man on a golf cart showed us the way. The decor in the room could use a little upgrading but was fine. Asked the nice guy at the front desk for some restaurant recommendations and he gave us several good options. After dinner, we got back to our room scanned the QR code for room service to deliver a glass of wine which we received within 5 minutes. A/C in the room worked perfectly. Did use the spa (will go elsewhere next time...overpriced for the quality of service). read more

This is not a resort. This is an old hotel in desperate need of repairs and updating (For example, they had a (drinking) water fountain in the women's restroom...). I was there for a conference and was super excited that this conference was at a RESORT. Cons: 1. The rooms are old apartment-style rooms. Although there is a sitting area, the furniture is uncomfortable and not worth leaving the bed for (which was also uncomfortable). The bathrooms were not luxury of any kind. 2. The staff did not replace or CLEAN the rooms throughout my 3-night stay. Often, the trash remained full, and the coffee station remained empty. 3. The concierge shuttle service was inconsistent at BEST. Often, my colleague and I would end up just going up/down the hills to get to the restaurant or conference building because the shuttles would take over 10-15 minutes to arrive (advertised as a 2-3 minute wait time). 4. The restaurant and breakfast buffet were subpar at best. The breakfast buffet was a huge cross-contamination issue, specifically for my fellow celiac/gluten-free people. They were putting white bread under the sausages and bacon :( I only realized when I went for more fruit, noticed the bacon/sausage was low, and saw the bread. Needless to say, I was glutened and starving the entire trip, even when avoiding the meats. 5. Lots of pests. Saw crickets and roaches (dead and alive) in the conference buildings and the banquet halls. One of my supervisors changed rooms twice due to roaches in the shower/sitting room/vanity area. Additionally, this resort is in the middle of nowhere; unless you plan on hiking, golfing, or other on-site activities, there is nothing else to do. It's not really the resort's fault, but it's just something to think about! Pros: The view is amazing!! There's a hiking trail right off the property, super accessible! I don't think this place is worth the price point, and honestly, the quality of the rooms is more similar to that of a motel than ANY hotel. read more

The stay was great I would book here again. The room was clean and spacious. The property was clean and staff were friendly. There was no elevator in our building so it was a little frustrating carry all our bags up all the steps lol. We also never found the ice machine, there could be better signs for that. The pools were the best part of the stay, they were clean and the waterfall pool had poolside service. I know its Arizona and its hot but I do wish they put heavier blankets on the bed, and maybe I could have called to ask for one im not sure but they provided us with basically 2 sheets to cover up with. But those are minuscule complaints, I reallyyy liked the place. read more

Stayed here as staycation celebrating an anniversary. Check in was smooth and easy and our room was clean. Only reason for 4 stars is there is definitely a lot of updating to be done as many things are unpainted and roof tiles are completely shattered. read more

It LOOKS great from the pictures. Underneath however, it is cheap, frustrating, and exhausting. If you are looking to relax, this is not the place to be. It was not busy when I arrived, yet the front desk staff hurried me along, put a map in my hand and did little to tell me about the amenities. I had to ask for everything from hiking maps, cleaning service to glasses to coffee. Nothing is offered. It all feels like a chore, not a vacation. Paper cups and cheap furniture. Inside the room was nice , very clean and big and comfortable. But if you don't have a room with a nice view then that makes the outside not so nice . I wish I read the reviews. I asked for a quiet room. I thought that should be an easy request to handle when the property was mostly empty. They put me in a room that had a low mechanical hum the whole night while sleeping. I powered through the first night, but could not sleep at all the second night. When I texted about it, I only got a cursory response. I asked if they wanted to hear it and to follow up. I was disappointed that they never even responded after that. I have stayed at many hotels. Things go wrong, but they at least PRETEND to care. Not here. I will not be coming back. Yes, the property is pretty and there are lots of things to do, but the most important thing, CUSTOMER SERVICE, is missing. Next time, I will be sure to check the reviews. The only thing that was not 'great' was that the poolside restaurant/bar "La Cantina" was not open. That would have made everything perfect. But, people overcome and bring their own food/drink. Still would have been nice to have the option. read more

Last weekend me and my family came to the resort for some family time. The next day when I went to my glasses case from my car I noticed I could not find it. I also noticed that the glove compartment was open and everything inside was on the car seat. I checked my trunk and my wife's purse was gone our snacks for the road, everything was gone. I called security and asked them if they can take a look at the cameras and see what happened and who did this the responded with "we do not have cameras in the parking areas, only inside and in front of the hotels. This is a RESORT. It's huge how do you not have cameras? Anything could happen, there are no lights at night in the parking area and no cameras. I definitely will not be staying here again for me and my family's safety. read more

They gave me a room where the tv and the safe needed to be repaired. It is very difficult to find your room on the "resort". The rooms are dated and the bathrooms are terrible. Step in tubs to shower and the water leaks all over. Oh yeah and your sink is in your bedroom!!!! Save your frustration and book at another spot! I gave 2 stars because the staff is nice. read more

This hotel was gorgeous but HUGE - the only hotel I could compare it to was a Disney property I stayed at a few years ago. My room was one of the ones by the Falls pool areas, and the most convenient way to get to the lobby was via golf cart - thankfully, the front desk was usually very prompt with these once I called. I stayed here for two nights on business this week. The conference rate ($279) let me choose between a "regular" 1-bedroom King suite or a "Falls" one, so I chose the Falls. I had no idea the room would be so huge, which was fantastic - you have a sitting area, with a pullout couch, when you enter the room; a separate sink area and toilet/shower & bathtub area; and then the bedroom itself. I wasn't in the room for that long (mostly just to sleep) but it was nice to have that much space. The room was also immaculate, although I'd expect nothing less from a Hilton property. The main issue was that I disliked that I couldn't really walk to the lobby myself - the bellhops pointed out a route I could take, but with work shoes (sandals) on, I didn't think it wise, so I mostly just called the front desk to get a golf cart to/from my room. Other than that, this is a beautiful property. I was able to get some pool time in too (FYI - a Falls room doesn't mean you are right next to the pool, but I was like a 5-minute walk which was fine) and they also have a waterslide. I'd be curious to know whom the main resort-goers are for this property and if they spend all their time at the resort or if they come and go. The resort had one restaurant, a few smaller restaurant/bars (poolside ones), and a golf course and exercise center, but the only amenity I used (other than the conference center) was one of their many pools. read more

The grounds are nice, breakfast is good, and the staff were all excellent. My only real complaints are the towels in our room were so old and crusty that we had to use the bath towels from the pool everyday. Also, we've been coming for 7 years and the prices for food & drink have skyrocketed. We spent our last two nights doing a stay & play at wekopa and golf was better, rooms were better, and prices were almost half on everything compared to hilton/lookout mtn so might be our last trip there. read more

We just recently stayed there over the weekend. We had a great time. We hiked the property, used the fitness center, swam and ate at some of the restaurants. The only problem was that there were so many people at the main pool that you couldn't find a place to park your stuff. The room was decent and quiet. This place is horrible!!! Save your money. The walking everywhere is horrible because shuttles are very hard to get. They advertise things they don't have. The wait for everything is horrible. Bar closes way to early at the pool. The only thing that made the trip bearable were the drinks at the pool. Then they shut that down at 8:00. read more

Rooms are unkept and dirty. Old appliances. The TV has only a few channels. No way to use streaming apps on the tv. Asking for anything from housekeeping was a nightmare. One time I needed extra toilet paper and it took them 4 hours to come. Another night I requested a towel and the two bottles of water customers get daily and they never came. There's a $100 nightly deposit fee. I paid upfront and apparently went on by $10. I went to the vending machine around 11:3pm came back to my room and my room key would not work. I called and found out they locked my key. I was locked out late at night! I was told to pay the $10 now to get the key reactivated. This was horrible. They could have sent a text or called my room BUT they failed to communicate with me. On my last day I paid extra for a late checkout due to having a zoom work meeting at 10am. The housekeepers knocked and tried opening my door several times interrupting my work call. Just piss poor communication and customer service at this hotel. I'd never stay with them again! read more

The hotel resort very crowded. When we arrive and until we left , the receptions that worked there not very friendly. Especially when we left , she gave us an attitude. Our request for room cleaning also forgotten while we there. Parking over crowded. The room very nice and spacious. Another concerns their cover bed and pillow are Terrible. I am member of Hilton for long time, never stay like this before. Quite disappointed for very nice place and mismanagement. The location are nice and easy to find. View is incredible. I don't really understand all the poor reviews. I had a good stay here overall. I came here for a work conference and they gave me a gorgeous room in the corner in a building away from my colleagues. Ample parking and the shuttle service that picked up literally outside my front door was a nice touch. The conference rooms where the conference was held were nice and the event meals were excellent and had quite a variety to accommodate everyone's dietary needs. I dined at Pointe in Thyme a few times and took advantage of the pickle ball courts and it was all in all a great trip! read more

Booked two nights - my solo birthday weekend at the Tapatio Cliffs. Checked in, found my room although I had to park an entire building away. The room itself was very nice. However, it appeared to be a tandem room (obviously locked). But the other room was being occupied by a family with toddler children. I could hear every conversation they were having. When I walked up to my sliding glass door to my patio, I didn't even need to open the door and I could hear the other guests as if they were sitting on my patio- not just that the walls were thin but they were loud and obnoxious. When I received the text asking me how everything was I responded about the family next door and asked for earplugs which I didn't receive until I sent a second request after waiting 1.5 hours. The next morning I woke to the father barreling curse words at the toddlers who then broke out in screaming cries. It was then that I decided to cut my losses and leave. When I went to the front desk to check out early and explain why, I received no response other than the bill and a comment about receiving a credit in a couple of days. No actual customer service whatsoever. I don't think I will ever stay at a Hilton Hotel again- certainly not the Tapatio Cliffs. read more

First of all, we are Hilton members, and have spent 3-6 months total at Hilton resorts. This one is pretty worn out. -Lobby staff were great. - Breakfast was great. - The grounds (especially the Falls area) are very nice. - But, the room is very shabby, worn-out, has stains on the carpet, curtains, and furniture, is dusty, and the rear patio is small and like a dungeon (and this is a suite). Not all outlets work, no USB ports, and (1) of the (2) TV's did not work. The place is definitely in need of refurbishment. For almost $300/night you can certainly do a lot better. We tried to book at another Hilton property (The Boulders), and after 30-minutes on the phone (trying to get our Hilton members card issue resolved) my wife was disconnected by the Hilton rep (English-was their second language). We will think twice before we stay at another Hilton property. UPDATE: We have (3) nights scheduled here, and the "hassle-factor" of moving exceeds the relatively poor condition of the property. However, we awoke to a scorpion hiding in the bathroom. Not something I would usually blame on the property, but after everything else, thought I should mention it. BEWARE! On a different note: we ate at the "Terrace Room" last night, and it was wonderful! Great view, staff, and food. BTW: we did hear from the property regarding our review (above). So, kudos to management. But, this response was really just "passing the buck" back to their customer service department, not a solution. See my response below: ------------ We contacted Hilton customer service the other day when we tried to book at "The Boulders" resort, in Phoenix. They would not book a room without our Hilton ID #. So, they transferred us to your customer service department. It was a horrible experience. Never been here before and was excited to try it. I went to a military event here which was great in the ballroom. This was full of veterans who are older and some with disabilities, the parking sucked! There was either not enough carts for them to get rides or no accessible rides and they had to walk in 100 degrees up a hill. We got a room and the parking is just horrible. We drove around the small and tiny roads where people park ridiculous so we had to park on a slanted hill. Luckily we got a ride to our room. Then we wanted a snack before the event and make sure you read the fine print..the charcuterie board and chocolate covered strawberries have to be ordered at least four hours in advance, never heard of that in my life! They called and asked when I wanted it and i said well it's room service so I'm expecting it soon. For a meat and cheese board???? Insane. We ended up getting the strawberries however they were small. The TV in the front room didn't work. The AC was at 68 and doesn't circulate very well, we kept being cold and hot while sleeping. Then we asked for a ride to the ballroom and after sweating and waiting for 15 min for a ride that didn't come, we just walked over, luckily there was stairs and a walkway. Very interesting place and now we know. Also for the food they wanted to charge us $125 when they told us they would remove the charcuterie board so then we had to talk with the front desk and they took $60 off the bill. I'm sure it's great with the pools so if I need to go back next year maybe I'll do that. read more

Do not come to this place! Everywhere you go it smells like sewer. The elevators shake and make you feel you're about to get stuck. The main pool smells like urine and when we got out, we all got a weird stench on our bodies. The pool area was dirty and very outdated with chipped tables. We ordered some food which was not up to the expected standards, with some items being undercooked. Our drink had something floating in it, so I asked for it to be re-made. I was met with rude staff and the second drink had ever more things floating in it. The pictures do not match the reality of the resort. read more

Stayed at the Hilton Tapatio Cliffs the past couple days for a conference during the week. Upon first arriving to the hotel I was honestly impressed. Service was great and they take you to your room via a cart since the grounds are so massive. The room was even bigger than expected--however I heard several complaints between my coworkers and I. WIFI was pretty bad overall. Another coworker had zero working tvs. The air quality in the rooms seemed less-ventilated. For positives I would say the food was pretty impressive, they had multiple pool options, and overall the service/workers were kind and very responsive to any problems. Can't say I would recommend this place for the price tag but it has its moments! read more

My 6th time staying here. My room was so nice, anything I needed was available fast! Just a text away. Robert and Eric were so friendly and quick to give me a lift anytime I needed one, as the resort is built into the Mountain. Hiking trails right there! Stunning Mountain View's at every turn. Friends and I stayed here a couple weeks ago and had a great stay overall. It's about a 20 minute drive north of downtown Phoenix. This Hilton features all suites in accommodations and is spread amongst a very large area - there are 28 buildings with each featuring 10+ suites. Never seen anything like it. It's a huge area. On the premises are a few eating establishments (check out Pointe In Thyme), numerous pool areas (one of them has a grand waterfall area with some fun games), a golf course, golf shop, spa and and a fitness center. The lobby is spacious and nice and they can even help with summoning a van that helps you get to your building if needed (some buildings are up through various paths/hills). There is some parking around each building and parking near the lobby and other areas. At the time, prices were pretty good ranging from $200+ -----Highlights--- *All-suite accommodations: Nicely sized. Bed was comfy and room seemed clean with vibrant colors and patterns of the southwest and featured a separate living area with a work desk, multiple TVs, and Peter Thomas Roth bath amenities and more. -Friendly staff -Parking near the buildings -Restaurants, pools, golf and other amenities on site read more

I didn't stay at this establishment- I did go visit my girlfriend that was visiting with her child for spring break. I have to say I'm confused by the low ratings on Yelp. The place is nestled in the rocks and is very scenic! The pools were wonderful!! Several options depending on what you want- water slide was fun too!! All seemed to be enjoying themselves- lots of yummy drinks and the food we ordered by the pool was delicious! My girlfriend said the rooms were spacious- sure a bit older compared to some of the newer establishments perhaps- but, she didn't complain about any issues beyond that. She also ate in the restaurant and was very pleased with her meals. All in all I felt this Hilton is a nice family option, and nicely maintained. Thanks for the pleasure day by the pool!! read more

I will never stay here again. To start we were on the third floor, the elevator was broke so we had to carry several luggage up the stairs. The room AC wouldn't go below 68°. After complaining about the AC they fixed it but it only worked for one day so we had to sleep with the balcony door open all night and was roasting the whole time. Their remedy was a box fan. We had four people in the room FOR FOUR DAYS with exactly four towels and two HALF rolls of toilet paper. Had to beg to get more, they came in while we were gone and dropped off a few towels and toilet paper next to the door. No one came to empty the over flowing trash we accumulated and with one tiny trash can in the entire room -while we were there. No housekeeping service at all. Parking was a joke. We had to park far away and it was up a steep hill. After complaining several times we gave up. read more

We booked a week at this place, left after the second night, it was terrible. We had asked for a ground floor room due to my recent back surgery, stairs are a bit hard for me as I'm still recovering. They gave us a second floor room and it took a while to find it, it's like a maze to find your room. The elevator was not working so we had to use stairs which was hard for me. The worst thing that made us leave early was being bitten so many times by bed bugs, I had so many bites and one was crawling across my face. Felt so violated and disgusted. Here's one bite that I can show you, the others bites were in private areas. I have never in my life experience anything like that. read more

Year six of making this place our favorite summer staycation. My littles practically learned to swim here! The Falls are our favorite experience because of the slide, pool, cabana, wildlife world zoo visit, water games, and more but this resort offers it all! The buffet breakfast is out of this world especially if you like omelettes. We hit up the gym, shopped the golf shop and enjoyed a signature massage, as well. We stayed for two nights and three days and never left! You don't need to! And let me not forget how kind the staff are... from the golf kart driver who saw us walking and offered us ice cold drinks, to Liz at the coffee shop, the pool staff and every one else we interacted with. They truly all go above and beyond! You feel the love when you come here! read more

Beautiful Place, I stayed Sept 18-21-2025, Welcoming staff, I stayed in suite one bedroom for (4) nice size for the 4 of us. VIEW is mind blowing at sunset! Called 3 times over the course of the day for assistance and each time I was told it would be fixed and it wasn't. Finally at 3:30 in the morning I called to see if I could change rooms and Joanna told me there were no empty rooms and I couldn't. So I asked if someone could check the ac and I was told "it's 3:30 in the morning what do you want me to do?" I called again and spoke to Machay and was told there actually were empty rooms but it would be " as far away as possible" and the "cheapest possible room". When I asked how to spell her name she said "you can figure it out". I finally got to my new room it was close and exactly the same. The representatives that worked here went out of their way to be demeaning and rude and make the experience as negative as possible. read more

A hotel about 20 minutes North of downtown Phoenix .it has decent amenities with multipyeah cool areas as well as separated adults and kid areas too .this hotel was built-in the 80s and probably had Just one remodel so the amenities are sort of dated but a decent fitness facility and pool setups. They have a good golf course and a driving range which you can utilize an hour a day if you stay at the hotel. The driving range has grass and a shore game area with a bunker. read more

I recently stayed at the Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort for two nights November 25th through November 27th. My stay at this hotel was not a pleasant one. It took over 40 minutes to check in, with only eight people in line in front of me when I first entered the lobby. I don't know what the hold-up may have been, but I have stayed at many hotels over the years and never waited that long to access my room, especially after a six-and-a-half-hour drive from Los Angeles. Once my wife and son were settled into the room, my wife found a large roach stuck in the vent above the toilet. This was extremely frustrating, considering that if we chose to change rooms, we would never really get comfortable regardless of what room we stayed in. I attached a picture of the roach to this email. I removed the roach and flushed it down the toilet so my wife could use the restroom and shower. After we all prepared for bed, we had a hard time getting to sleep because the bed was very uncomfortable, and so were the pillows. You could feel the springs in the mattress because of how firm the mattress was. I'm used to feeling swallowed by the beds at hotels with the feeling like I never want to get up. This was far from the case at Tapatio Cliffs. That Saturday, I made it known about the roach in the room, and the front desk agent told me that he would make a note of it and remove the resort fees from our bill. The following day, I received an email that the fees were still there. I received an updated bill after checking out, but it still bothers me that I had such a bad stay at this hotel. I have stayed at various Hilton hotels over the years, and I have never experienced anything like this. I will never stay at Tapatio Cliffs again, and I will seriously rethink patronizing other Hilton Hotels. After everything was all said and done, I contacted the corporate office and emailed the manager. I have yet to hear from the manager, who obviously doesn't care about their guests. Then guest relations sent me 10,000 points, which doesn't even get you a one-night stay at any hotel within their network, even though they say you could book a room for as low as 5,000 points. read more

Super disappointing. Front desk staff were extremely sweet and so was the staff taking orders at the Grotto pool. The property itself is in need of a rehab with a lot of dilapidated areas. The room smelled very musty and a bed was placed blocking over 50% of a doorway. Other than a safety hazard there were a number of municipal code violations. The refrigerator didn't work and the room was very dirty. I notified Hilton through text and was thanked for the notification; however, was not offered a remedy. Housekeeping is included but despite my request each of the 3 days we stayed they never came. By day 3 we had no clean towels and a build up of trash. While we did have a small patio, there was nothing but trucks backed up to our gate. I didn't complain but I asked for help, especially with a bed blocking the doorway. We had 2 little kids with us and it posed a pretty significant safety hazard. I would not recommend this place. read more

First time staying at Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs. The hotel is in need of updating. Service at the front desk checking in was great. Not everyone in the lobby was wearing a mask (staff was masked), there are signs stating masks are required. It would be nice if the staff enforced mask wearing. The staff at The Falls pool were all exceptional. We used the texting with the hotel option for needs which was nice. However we were emailed that we had an option to upgrade to a cabana for the weekend. Upon checking in we texted with the front desk and were informed the cabanas were sold out so our request was not honored. The next morning we asked the pool staff and they let us know there were plenty of cabanas to rent. As a matter of fact we were one of 5 cabanas taken in the lower pool area. Clearly not sold out.
