Best Hotel in Baltimore. My stay was excellent!! It is the most convenient hotel to the convention center and Inner Harbor. I stayed here when the Hilton was brand new 11-year ago and I found that the look and feel were just the same in 2019. Very impressive that they have kept up the Hilton so well Rooms were elegant, clean with a very comfortable bed. I just loved the pillows and fluffy towels. A mini-fridge in the room was nice. I was very impressed when i walked into my room on a Sunday afternoon to find my view of Camden Yards. I was even able to watch part of a baseball game on my first of five days i stayed at the Hilton. The quote on my bathroom mirror was a nice touch along with all the amenities. read more

I had a 3 night stay here for a conference that was taking place in the hotel. Overall, the stay was fine. It was not outstanding nor was it terrible. With one or two exceptions, a majority of the client facing staff (especially at the front desk) was not outright friendly or hospitable. That said, they were responsive the few times I had questions or issues. None of the interactions were extremely pleasant but they got the job done. I ate at the Diamond Tavern once and it was ok. It was just like all other big chain hotel food. The gym is more long than wide (think rectangle). It overlooks Camden Yard and has mostly cardio equipment. There are a few weight machines and a set of dumbbells. It was never really busy but I went during off times. The strangest thing during my entire stay was the room. When I checked in, I was originally assigned to Room 1238. Neither keycard worked so I went back to the front desk to let them know. Instead of issuing new keys, they reassigned me to Room 1228. The room itself was fine - relatively clean, view of downtown (clock tower side) and spacious. What was strange was that the entire room "creaked" like I was on an anchored sailboat. No joke... if you have ever been on a boat, and have heard the creaking of the wood, this is what the room was like. The creaking was loud and happened throughout the day. Now, I can say with confidence, I have never stayed in a hotel, including other Hiltons, where this has happened. I could have asked for another room but my time in the room was so limited due to the conference that I didn't even bother. I'd say that the staff and hospitality here is slightly less favorable to other Hiltons. It was fine for my needs as a conference attendee. My guess is that this hotel caters to sports fans and events so they don't expect their guests to be hanging around the hotel much. If you don't need much from your hotel, I think you will be fine here. And if you really enjoy the sounds of creaking wooden boats, ask for Room 1228. read more

For a Hilton, very disappointing service. While the rooms were decent, although my headboard seemed to be a victim of a wild party with a small hole in its upholstery, the staffing consistently fell short. There were always two lines-1 Hilton Honors, the other General Public. ALL staff, not specifically assigned front desk staff, continue to serve ONLY the Hilton Honors line until you finally give them the stink eye! And all I needed was for them to correct my keys or check out. And by the way, only Hilton Honors members can use the in room menu on the TV to check out. The exercise room offered a great view of Camden Yard and you can watch the Orioles play from the treadmills. Well equipped with numerous cardio machines and one actual Spin bike. But bring your own sports bottle, the cups are barely larger than a Dixie cup for brushing your teeth. They do offer sanitizing towels, and workout towels, water from a water cooler, no disposable earbuds or citrus infused water. It's saving grace was the beautiful view of Camden Yard from my room, but service was not up to par with the Hiltons. read more

I don't usually stay at the Hilton properties so maybe I'm just spoiled with the Marriott and Four seasons. Here for an off site meeting starting at 10:30am. Wanted to do an early checkin at 10:15. The front desk agent said no .... need to checkin at 4pm! I have never heard of this broken process. Marriott will allow me to checkin early and text me a room number when the room is ready. Would even have my valet bag delivered before I even get there. That's the type of customer experience I'm expecting. Now if you want to get to Four Seasons level, don't even have me stop by the registration. But let me know when room is ready. Frictionless. That's what I'm looking for. Hilton needs to spend more on software development and people training. Your competitors have figured it out. read more

We just checked into the room. I went to the restroom and opened the toilet only to find it full of toilet tissue. I understand that people make mistakes, but I don't understand why a toilet wasn't flushed. It makes me wonder if it was even cleaned. Let's hope that the rest of the trip gets better. I'm certain that this is not the experience that Hilton wants to provide it's customers with. I am truly disgusted. read more

Horrible. Would give zero stars if I could. First of all, checked in ON TIME and learned they had given our room away. We were given a horrible room for the same price of our original room. Unacceptable. But we had no other choice so we stayed. Then there was hairs all over the bathroom. Disgusting. Then the TV didn't work. Asked the front desk for help and they said there was NOTHING THEY COULD DO. Please avoid this hotel at all costs I promise you you will be disappointed. read more

I booked 2 rooms a month ahead of a planned event. Due to health issues I canceled in a timely manner. They were quick to take my money. I spent one night at the Hilton while in town to see Garth Brooks at Royal Farms Arena. I was traveling with my 6 year old son. We had room 2003 on the 20th floor (top floor). Pros: Located in nice, redeveloped area - Whereas most of the area between Penn Station and the waterfront has come upon hard times, the hotel is in a nice area. While it is a little further from the waterfront activities, it is connected to the convention center via skywalk and right next door to Camden Yards. Royal Farms Arena is 3 blocks away. View - Our room had an awesome view of Camden Yards and M&T Bank Stadium. The room - Standard 4 star Hilton room. No over the top touches you would expect at a higher end property (Waldrop, St. Regis, etc.) but very solid for its class. Although this hotel has been open a few years, everything in our room was still in good shape. Water pressure in shower was good. We were a good distance from the elevator and found the room to be very quiet. Food and beverage - We didn't try to the onsite restaurant (Diamond Tavern) but found the onsite Jimmy John's and Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf locations to be very economical (normal prices) and convenient. Early check in - we were able to get into our room at 12:45pm. Business center in Lobby - Business center in lobby worked well to print a document. Cons: Layout of hotel - The hotel is located on both sides of S. Eutaw St.; the front desk could have done a better job explaining the sky walks. It took some trial and error for us to find our way around. Room darkening curtains - The direct sun in morning really heated up our room and curtains were badly overmatched. The windows probably need some type of glazing to supplement the curtains. BIG convention hotel - Expect heavy elevator traffic and long walks - probably 10 minutes to get from our room to Jimmy John's for lunch on Sunday morning. Lounge was unremarkable - I will admit that we did not make breakfast on Sunday morning, but the offerings during the day on Saturday afternoon were very average. The selection of soft drinks was good but the only food offering was some cheap snack mix that set out in the open all day. Having just left a very good lounge at the Grand Hyatt in Washington DC, this was a definite letdown. General: We felt extremely safe at the hotel and in the harbor area, however the rest of the area between Penn Station and the hotel was pretty run down. There was a significant amount of loitering on the North Side of Royal Farms Arena. After walking from the hotel to the other side of the harbor, we used the metro from the Shot Tower station and felt the same. Uber was reliable but seemed to be perpetually on surge. Overall: I would definitely stay here again when returning to Baltimore. We felt safe in and around the hotel and the room was the typical quality you expect from Hilton. read more

Got to stay here for a convention. Nicest hotel I've stayed in this year. Everything is so new and so fresh and clean! The rooms are modern enough to be fresh, but still warm in a traditional way. The fitness center is top of the line. Each treadmill and elliptical and bike has it's own tv. They've also got weights and weight machines, and a good-sized pool. The best part is the view of Camden Yards! Any of the odd numbered rooms have an awesome view of the ball field. And if you end up in an even numbered room, you still have a great view of the park from the end of the hallway and the fitness center. As is typical of these hotels, relatively nothing is included - you have to pay for the internet, the breakfast, and the business center. But if you're there for business and it's not your bill, it's a great set up. read more

Multiple reasons: 1. I called the main number before booking the room asking if there was a hot tub next to the pool. I was told yes and then there was no hot tub. 2. I spoke to both the front desk and Hampton 800 number about how to link my Apple TV to the hotel tv and not only did no one know they couldn't be bothered to try to find out. 3. The toilet wouldn't flush-I called the front desk for assistance and they didn't know when a maintenance person would be able to help but offered I could come get a plunger from the front desk 4. There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. I will never stay at this location again. read more

Nice looking Hilton but inconsistent on several levels. Pros: 1. Beautiful lobby - Spacious and glass enclosed 2. Lobby bar - Friendly bartenders and attentive service 3. Diamond restaurant - Great lunch entree in the crab cake salad with roasted fennel I could eat that for breakfast, lunch and dinner. But pretty pricey even by hotel standards. The breakfast buffet is good but overpriced at $18. The omelet bar was a nice touch and service was impeccable for breakfast and lunch; the staff is super friendly too. 4. Pet friendly - for a $50 plus tax fee. But because I did have my dog in the hotel, the staff didn't clean the room and I had to hunt down towels and toiletries. 5. Some of my coworkers had views of the Oriole Stadium. In fact, location is probably one of the best features of this Hilton, especially if you are a baseball fan. Lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Cons: 1. Diamond bar service is pretty bad at prime happy hour. Coworker kept trying to get a drink at the bar and was kept waiting forever. A server was supposed to be sent to us at the outside table but no one ever came. 2. They charge for wi-fi. 3. Minor wear and tear issues: Towels were a little worn with little holes and some stains. Room had damp smell because carpet was recently shampooed and still quite damp. 4. No mini fridge. Overall, a nice hotel that needs a few improvements. Depending on the room rate, I would come back for a visit. read more

I'm actually surprised by the number of negative reviews for this hotel. We stayed here to attend a game at M&T Stadium and were very pleased. The hotel looks new, is in a great location, and was very reasonably priced. The bed was great, the room was clean, and the bath products were Peter Thomas Roth (my fav). Housekeeping and the front desk were both very accommodating to our special requests. The only negative was the hallways were at times quite noisy with what I'm assuming were over served guests. And I do wish they did not allow dogs in this hotel. We did hear a lot of yippy yapping through the walls. Luckily, I can go back to sleep easily. When we return, we would definitely stay here again. read more

10 weeks later, after immediately after alerting them of a previous guest's DIARRHEA STAIN on my BALTIMORE HILTON bathroom wallpaper and being told that Hilton would "Make it right," they still haven't. 10 weeks! If you want E coli, then enjoy the BALTIMORE HILTON. If you enjoy rude staff service, book the BALTIMORE HILTON. If you enjoy hearing corporate promises that they will guarantee you have a great stay only to find they are 100% lies, then go with the Hilton. I'm going to keep reminding the world to--instead--book at the Marriott across the street is cleaner, the staff is nicer, and you can still use the sky-way to the convention center by walking across the street to the Hilton, riding the escalator, then using their sky-walk. I don't work for the Marriott; I just find it appalling that the Hilton makes promises it doesn't keep, hoping those of us who have complaints will eventually stop being a pest to them. But your staff treated me like cr*p, so I'm re-posting the picture of the literal cr*p you leave on your walls for guests to find like Easter Eggs. read more

DISHONEST. Plain and simple... this place is run by dishonest people. I recently stayed here with my entire family as we were in town for a family reunion. This hotel made lots of money off of us...we booked our rooms here and hosted several reunion events here as well (including food and beverage...incredibly lackluster food and beverage mind you). We thought we were dealing with a business of integrity but were proven wrong. My brother is a DJ and his laptop went missing after a sound check in one of the hotel ballrooms. There were several staff in and out of this room. When we realized it was missing, we contacted hotel security right away. I was there as my brother filed a written report. We thought were dealing with a reputable business that took our claim seriously. But we were mistaken. The next day upon our follow up, the head of security hadn't even seen the report! IT WAS NEVER FILED. How do you explain a written report just going missing? Management not knowing about it? You better believe this was an inside job. There were no cameras in the room...only in the hallways...and clearly someone who works there would know this. We escalated the matter to corporate who eventually (after tons of run around) told us this was a local matter. It is almost two weeks later, and we still have no cooperation or additional information from Hilton or Hilton corporate. They take forever to get back to you, and act as if they don't care. They certainly cared when it came to taking our money....but don't when it comes to running an ethical business. We deserve a fair investigation. This is unacceptable. As someone who plans events for living and has done so for over 16 years, I can assure you that I've never experienced a company behave this way. Do yourself a favor and avoid this venue. Select a business with better customer service, tastier food and beverage, and actual honest people running the place. read more

3.5 Stars I stayed here for a business trip and if I was as big of a baseball fan as some, I imagine I'd be pretty stoked about its location. Though it did have easy access to the harbor and the touristy spots including the aquarium. The staff were generally helpful; especially the concierge who recommended a great restaurant for us on our first night. There was an issue though when my boss and I were using the business room/computer lab. We asked (I assume the manager on duty) for help but were told that in order to resolve it we would have to call the number of an external company they use for their computers and other tech equipment, as opposed to just the staff at the hotel, which was inconvenient. The room I stayed in (standard) was very spacious, with sleek bathrooms, but the water pressure wasn't as good as most. Although I didn't eat at the restaurant, we did hit up the bar before we left and it was decent. Nothing extraordinary. Overall it was a nice stay. read more

If this was a Marriott Courtyard or similar type hotel,it would get 5 stars. But it is a Hilton, and that is the major problem. When you stay at a Hilton you expect the extra mile. Mini bar, fridge, micro way,$8.00 bottle of water available, etc. This hotel was clean and spacious, service average, lobby and restaurant freezing for temperature. The restaurant was available in the building across the street. The restaurant food was very good, and there was an indoor crosswalk available, it still FELT inconvenient and unwelcoming for the hotel. The restaurant was called a tavern, but the hotel lacked that hotel bar availability. All and all a clean and spacious place, but not a warm and cozy place. read more

First Hilton Baltimore is expensive, but in a great location. My room is big but worn and not the cleanest. What pisses me really off: * I arrived a little early (12:15 PM) and my room wasn't available. The unfriendly receptionist offer me a $40 room upgrade for immediate availability. No thanks. --- In similar situations both Sheraton and Marriott offer me a free room upgrade or at least a free drink while I wait. * Generously the rude receptionist offers to call me once my room becomes available. 3:15 PM and still no call so I trot back to the hotel to ask. A more friendly receptionist now has a room available. * Earlier, while I was waiting for a little while in the lobby and noticed that the lobby bar is not open. (That's hospitality) * In the room now and they want $12+ for internet access. NFW. If you like expensive mediocrity: Stay at Hilton! Otherwise choose a guest friendly hotel. read more

I'll make this quick. The location is great. The room I had was clean. No complaints there. But the king bed wasn't a king. I have a king at home. This was a queen at best. I've been in hotels where you get a real king size bed. Don't tell me it's a king and give me a queen. Plus, if your sleeping partner moves an inch the whole bed shakes. Let's just say it wasn't a great night's sleep. This hotel nickel and dimes you too much in other areas to shortchange you on the bed size on top of it. It's no better than three stars because of that. read more

Good, simple, clean hotel. I'm a huge fan of hotels that have duvets with *white cotton covers so that you know they wash them for every new guest and this place does that. Everything here is inconvenient, especially parking. Staff is nasty, rude and impatient. Manager hid from me in the back when I tried to talk to him. We came for a long weekend to check out the city with our 18 month old son. I'm not sure why we saw the same thing so many times while in Baltimore - lots of employees standing around but not really willing to help anyone. We ran into this time and time again - from our check in to our check out. First, let me share that the hot tub was not working. We were there for 5 nights, how long does it take to repair a hot tub? We never, ever saw anyone working on it - that might be part of the problem. Beyond that, we are Hilton Diamond members and expected a much better breakfast than what was offered in the always busy and way too small for the hotel size, executive lounge. We have stayed at Hiltons all over the world and expected at least a voucher for breakfast at the on-site restaurant. Not the case, and disappointing. Simple tasks seemed extremely difficult for the staff here. We had the same plate outside our door from Sunday to Tuesday, the concierge had visited few tourist locations/points of interest in town, printing attraction tickets proved a challenge, getting our ice bucket cleaned and extra towels was a daily battle, etc. On evening #3 in the hotel I asked the woman at the front desk to have the manager please contact me in the morning to discuss these issues... I heard nothing at all. This hotel has a descent location and we experienced most things were almost great, but the property largely dropped the ball. The ironic thing was we chose this Hilton property over the Hampton Inn for that better breakfast, extra care, and hot tub... As a final straw, we were checking out and asked for the ice packs we had dropped off the night before belonging to our sons travel cooler pack to keep his bottles cold. The woman at the front desk who had taken them the night before put our name on them but did not put them in the freezer (there were none in the room). These had to be thrown away and the milk soon spoiled, as unfrozen icepacks cannot get through TSA. The women at the front desk apologized and took 4 drinks off our room bill, but this pretty much sums up our experience...c'mon. read more

Stay here pretty frequently- I have to thank Morgan, Debbie, and Will @ the hotel bar for always making my stays more fun! And a VERY consistent hotel overall. Rooms are clean, newly updated, location is great, Hilton Diamond Lounge is amazing and has an INCREDIBLE view of the ballpark! My only problem is the parking lot- every time I come here there are new rules, or new issues, or something wrong when I try and get in/out abilities. Not a huge deal, but with the cost to park as much as it is, you'd think they'd have a better process. I won't stay at any other Hilton property in B'more! read more

I stayed at this hotel during the weekend of Otakon 2014. From check-in to check-out, I experienced nothing but helpful and courteous assistance from staff. Whether it be ensuring I got internet service in my room, or bringing up extra toilet, paper, my needs were addressed in a timely and friendly manner. The only real downside to the location is the cost of parking on-site, which the Hilton has no control over (garage owned by the city). Even on move-out Sunday, where EVERYONE is trying to escape the grasp of the long elevator waits, the Hilton staff came to the rescue. Knowing that upper floor dwellers were getting the stiff end because of people riding up to go down, one of the cleaning staff ensured we got down much more quickly via the staff elevators. My time at the hotel has made the Hilton #1 on my preferred lodging franchises. read more

I enjoyed my stay here and did not have any complaints. The rooms were clean and the staff is friendly. Nothing jumped out at me as truly exceptional, but then again I did not make use of the amenities they offered. As far as parking goes, it is all underground. I appreciated having the option to pay for a valet or self-park, so that was nice. The Cleveland Browns also happened to be staying there, not that they changed anything but it was still cool. All in all, I would be happy to stay here again. read more

This is the first year our group stayed here while attending Otakon. Our previous Otakon hotel, the Baltimore Harbor Hotel, really let us down at checkout in 2014 and our whole experience was less than acceptable, causing this move. The Hilton Baltimore is more expensive than many other Otakon hotels, but its location next to the Baltimore Convention Center makes it very attractive. Main entrance was not large but we got unloaded quickly. Valet parking was $42 per night, though expensive was worth it. Check in was smooth with no issues. Six elevators serve the main hotel floors. After arriving to our room we found a major issue, the reserved double was only a single. They had no more doubles but were able to get us a rollaway. Room was very basic with no mini-refrigerator or microwave. I noticed some minor wear and tear including scratches on the TV and some marks on the bedding, but nothing serious. Soundproofing was surprisingly good and we could not hear other rooms. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, located in the lobby, is a nice but not cheap place to grab a pastry. The Hilton's convention space and sky bridge to the Baltimore Convention Center is a major advantage to staying here. Convention space in the Hilton is nice and spread across two different buildings. The sky bridge to the Baltimore Convention Center has one major flaw. Directly before the convention center there is a choke point due to a narrow staircase and handicap elevator. Overall, even with some issues, our stay was good and we will be returning due to the Hilton's convenience. read more

The Hilton is always a favorite among my group of friends as we attend 2 conventions in the attached BCC each year. Never had a problem with checking in early and the front desk staff are quick to address any questions we had. Love the location to the BCC as I wear several large costumes to both Otakon and Bronycon and the skywalk is a blessing in those instances. Only real issue we've had with the Hilton was with their parking staff. If you're parking valet park on the right side of their drop off zone. If you're unloading luggage, park on the left side. We were unaware of this one year and dealt with a very rude parking attendant. The left side was parked up so we parked on the right to quickly unload our car (maybe took 10 minutes) and the attendant insisted if we were parked there we needed a bellhop to help us unload the car and use their valet service. After reassuring him several times we were just being dropped off and unpacking our own luggage he eased off as more guests arrived. I think he was looking to make a few bucks but the entire exchange was unpleasant. read more

I did not stay at this hotel, but I came here for a weekend-long event. The ballrooms are nice and they make very good use of their space. I had some friends and family who were staying at this hotel. The rooms seemed to vary; all the rooms (that we saw) that had 2 beds were all incredibly tiny, while the balcony suites were quite impressive, with an incredible view of Camden yards. Elevators were slow and the escalator broke, so we just used them as stairs. The hotel bar was awfully slow. They only had 1 bartender when they knew they were going to have a few hundred people down at the bar. After waiting for 15 minutes and not even getting a glance from the bartender, we left to get our own drinks and came back to socialize. read more

Aa Hilton Honors member I booked this Hilton for 2 nights during the Otakon convention for my son! This is the best hotel to stay in during conventions in Baltimore, MD because there is a skybridge to the convention; thus, not only it was safe and convenient but also allowed my son to avoid being in the record high temperature during the recent Otakon event! As I pulled up to the front of the hotel to drop my son off the valet was super nice and allowed me to leave my car while I checked him in. I handed him a Hamilton and I took about an hour to get back to my car and Marshall (the Valet) again greeted me and told me to just pull up when I'm ready to pick my son up instead of parking in a nearby garage. Wow! I was pleasantly surprised and for that I give this hotel 4 stars---5 if they update their decor & furnishings but overall I was very pleased! read more

This is a convention hotel; nothing more - nor less. The room was plenty clean but did have a broken drawer, crappy ironing board, poorly stocked towels/tissue/coffee, and ill behaving thermostat. Front desk is efficient, restaurant has weak customer service and food that won't kill you (though restaurant is hard to find in the convention side of the property across the street), and bell/door service is superior. The hotel is convenient to the train and bus route, but a mile plus schlep to the harbor. If you love the home baseball team, you may be in heaven and willing to overlook the hotel flaws since your room may well overlook the open air stadium. If you're here for a convention, you may want to consider the Marriott across the street unless you're really wanting your Hilton Honors bottle of water at check in. Update: As I said the staff was great. Noteworthy to mention is Alex Brandt, the manager who waived our room service charge after I mentioned the "holy crapper" and the "melt in your hand when dampened" tissue. I added a star because of him but they should really do something about that. Everything was ok, the ambiance and the staff wasn't bad. Problem was on the most important part of your stay which is the crapper. The toilet is like the one you have at home or worse. the pressure is low and if you take a dump it would take you like four flushes to get the poo out. For $269 a night, you'd think they had the commercial type of toilet. Terrible if you're sharing the room with someone lol. Tissue is a rough one-ply that is ugh. Thank goodness I have slow metabolism. Parking is $40.00 overnight valet, room service is $$ and noteworthy to mention is that they add a $5 delivery fee in addition to tax. No gratuity yet. Ordered the she crab soup and it was mediocre at best but had lots of crab. Linguini forget about it. Room has no mini bar but it has a safe. Complimentary coffee is so so. Machine was clean. 20oz.
