I know I visited during a high-time, but overall our stay was pretty average. They cleaned the room and I thought our room was pretty good. The only reason I'm giving this place a 3/5 stars instead of maybe a 4/5 stars or higher is because they charge for parking. Really? Your absurd hotel price isn't enough that you have to go and nickel and dime down to the parking? Fix that and I'll raise my review. read more

Great hotel with a phenomenal location. Was it the Four Seasons? No, but it was still nice and relatively affordable. The greatest benefit to staying here is the location, being in the heart of downtown Austin and just a short walk to the debauchery that is dirty Sixth. I had a very nice stay at this property I also had club level access. Yay! A conference I was attending was held at this hotel so I spent 90% of my time at the hotel. The service was fantastic. Had our wedding block here. They were able to squeeze in a significant number of extra rooms at our block date weeks after the deadline, which was AMAZING & saved us probably a $1,000. The pool and gym was fantastic. Dog friendly. Great staff. Beautiful hotel. We even rented the cabanas for an event by the pool. read more

We spent a night in Austin for a family event and thought this would be a good central location. The greeters were great. The reason I am giving 2 stars is because all we did at the hotel is sleep. The problem is that though we were on the 18th floor the blazing music from 6th street kept us up past 2 am. When we called the front desk they did move us and they were nice but I wish that noise issue would have been disclosed in the beginning. Hence,we moved rooms in the middle of the night. Again, staff was great but you go to your hotel to sleep and when that's impeded it throws your whole functionality off. read more

The hotel itself is really nice and the staff is excellent. The location is great too, very close to 6th street and lots of restaurant options in the area. However, the parking garage is a little bit crazy/confusing. Also, since the hotel is so big with so many floors, it can take awhile if you are on one of the top floors because people are constantly getting on and off. Also, clearly a very popular choice for events because there were a a few weddings and a fraternity formal being held this weekend. But the rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable and the pool and amenities were great. Overall, a very good place to stay. read more

It was very nicely located. The parking garage was the first downfall of the hotel. Parking is a nightmare and being in Texas everyone has a big vehicle. These spots are made for smart cars. The sheets in the room were dirty with dirt or markup on them, some black smudges everywhere. The pillow cases had holes in them. The pool was quite small for the residents and hotel guests as there were no seats or room in the pool. The room was ok to lay our head and Starbucks was a plus in the hotel but the restaurants aren't worth the price either. read more

Be careful think twice. Location is best rooms are comfortable but the management, customer relations are awesome! They can't manage unexpected situations. Last nigh electricity went out and the story started. This is Hilton and no power supply! No coordination of crisis . No one explain what happened or why some rooms had electricity some not . This is hurricane city and think twice to stay Hilton Austin especially Hurricane season. Thanks to Hotel Manager . He interested the issue and try to satisfy us at morning. Came for Business on way to San Marco stayers two nights ,best I am a Golden member this Hotel goes above and beyond ,got to stay in a new room fanatic ,if I had a problem it was handle now.As I said one of the Best. Very nice hotel. The staff was very attentive and kind. The valet parking was quick. You can tell the workers have a lot of training. The entire hotel and our room was very clean. Great hotel to stay at if youre in Austin. However, be aware the self parking is $26 and valet is $35. To me, that is quite steep for parking. If you don't pay the hotel to park, good luck finding a parking spot near the hotel. I would recommend this hotel and will be returning. read more

Stay here while you are in Austin! It's so close to 6th street for nighttime fun, it's close to South Congress bridge and the staff is very accomodating. Horrible experience! My fiancée and I who is now my wife decided to have a staycation in Austin because we had friends from out of town that wanted to go out. We checked into the hotel dropped out stuff off and headed to Rainey st to meet up with friends. We got back late around 3am because of course everyone was hungry and had to show them what the trailer park eateries were like. We had 3 friends come back up to the hotel room to hang out before we called it a night and before you know it we get a knock at our room saying that everyone has to leave? My girl and I paid good money to stay and they kicked us out!!!? We were pissed and the manager just looked at us like we were idiots. He said they had warned us 3 times when we weren't even at the hotel the whole time!! Never staying here again!!!! read more

Terrible hotel, check in is at 3pm, we got there at 7pm and was told our 2 bed city view room had a leak so they put us in a parlor room of some kind with no beds and said they would bring a roll away bed...what?...for $310?....I'm, a Hilton HHonors Gold and Expedia +Gold member, didn't help a bit..that is nothing but a bunch of hype, had to call a manager to get it straightened out, ruined the whole night...... This hotel turned what started as an awful travel experience into a totally positive experience! My party and I had to stay here on a complete last minute change of plans with our other hotel, so we came feeling bummed and we ended up extremely satisfied with our experience. This is a beautiful, large, modern hotel with starbucks and 2 restaurants inside. The rooms were clean and spacious. Customer service is amazing- they constantly text you to ask how your stay is. Any time you go to the front desk, they are very friendly and make sure you are enjoying your stay. I told them it was my bachelorette party and they provided me with credit at the restaurants on premise. Also located conveniently near 6th street by many restaurants and bars! They have a rooftop pool with a bar and comfortable couches. The pool does become a "party pool" with people crowding and drinking in it. read more

There are too many reasons to write about, #1 being that this hotel attracts EXTREMELY loud people yelling in the hallways on a Saturday night till 2:30 am. I switched to 2 different rooms but it didn't matter. If you want to actually get any sleep, stay anywhere else. This is like a frat house. When I checked in (with a reservation), I was informed that the only room that was available did not have a bed. Confused as to how a Hilton could have a room without a bed, and wondering if I was going to be sleeping in the bathtub, I asked for clarification. "Oh, it has a pull out sofa instead of a bed." Seriously? At a Hilton?!? So, there are no other rooms? What happened to room I reserved? Sir, I apologize, but this is the only room available. We will switch you to another room tomorrow night. Since it was already 10:30, I reluctantly accepted it, wanting to get some work done and then to sleep before an early meeting the next morning. Sleep was not in the cards for that night, just a lot of uncomfortable tossing and turning on a lumpy ..., well I can't even call it a pad because it had no support. I could have removed it and slept directly on mattress support, and that may have been more comfortable, less lumpy. Fortunately, I was able to avoid falling asleep during the all day meetings the next day. The next morning, I complained about the uncomfortable and unacceptable sleeping accommodations, resulting in a superficial apology. I can't be the first person who has complained, and, yet, they still have one or more room with a bed that's less comfortable than you would find in a motel that rents rooms by the hour. I challenge the manager to spend a night ... No, a week in that room, the get in touch with me and try to convince me it is acceptable be Hilton standards. Unbelievable! read more

I've got to praise the hotel and staff for a job well done. Of course you pay for being right across the street from the Austin Convention Center, but I find that the hotel has everything I want and nothing to complain about. A comfortable bed and chair, a good shower, lots of space, excellent WiFi, convenient restaurants on premises, and so on. I won't take away points for water that takes a couple minutes to get hot--that might be because I was on an upper story. read more

I highly recommend eating at the restaurant, fish tacos were great. The staff makes a big difference in experience. Decent price for 2 queen beds and a comfortable room. I had a wonderful experience at the Hilton for my company Christmas party. The food was magnificent and the service was too. I ended up having to book a room to stay the night. What really made me leave a happy camper was how friendly the valet staff was and the quality of coffee in the room (funny I know). They had coffee from The Coffee Pot, which I thought was a nice touch. We will definitely stay here again. It was a dollar well-spent! read more

We stayed at this hotel because we had a competition at the convention center and I couldn't be happier! Aside from the prime location, the staff was very friendly and accommodating (Thanks, David!). Hilton Austin is in a great location downtown, within walking distance to all the best places. My particular thanks for getting us a room on super-short notice after a poor experience at a property in the Arboretum section of town. Called the Hilton at noon, got there by 12:45, and we were in our room by 1:00. They really saved the day. Clean and well-appointed room, complimentary wifi, polite and helpful employees (everyone I met from the valets to the front desk, to housekeeping greeted me with a smile and made me feel like a valued guest), and a fantastic, convenient location. Hotel management contacted me with a apology and explained how their delivery system works. It is great to know that management is willing to write back and apologize. I already talked to them and believe just the fact that they get back to me so quick to address my issue merits a revision of my previous review. One employee do not make a company. In regards to their "Delivery System" I still have concerns. Usually a delivery for a guest is a letter or something small, and deliveries are usually taken at the main lobby by some staff. Every hotel I have delivered to (Including several previous deliveries to the Hilton Austin) will receive at the lobby/reception area. What they do afterwards to get the package to the guest is a matter of their own system, going into the hotel and dropping a package for a guest at the UPS store do not make sense to me. read more

I've had to leave 2 messages, which were never returned, until finally pinning down someone from accounting who didn't resolve the problem and just forwarded me to another answering machine. DO. NOT. STAY. HERE! Rude staff. Stinking ashtray of a room. Lumpy mattresses. Touted as a "luxury" hotel, yet the bathroom doesn't even have an exhaust fan. The ironing board was a rickety piece of scrap metal. The view was of the roof of the restaurant. Did I mention I slept in a used ashtray? The odor was so overpowering that I had to launder EVERYTHING when I returned home. When I phoned the front desk to be switched to a non-smoking room, I was told nothing could be done. $20 for parking?! Really? Parking that was unavailable when we returned to the hotel after dinner, BTW. Exorbitant fees for pool, fitness room, WiFi - really?! Fees for amenities that should be complimentary is just offensive. DO. NOT. STAY. HERE! read more
