I stayed here for six nights. The location is great. It's close to 6th Street, within walking distance to Rainey Street. Unfortunately, the hotel experience itself was inconsistent. The property doesn't have its own breakfast cafe. Instead, breakfast is provided through Austin Taco Project, and I was given vouchers to use there. Service was generally slow, and the food quality varied quite a bit from day to day. Some mornings were decent, while others were disappointing. Housekeeping was the biggest issue during my stay. Out of six nights, my room wasn't cleaned on two days. By Days 3 and 4, trash had started piling up, and ran out of clean towels. On Day 2, I ran out of tissues. While housekeeping did come by on day2, they forgot to replace the tissue box, so I had to call and request one separately. There's also a Starbucks in the lobby, but it's hotel operated rather than a corporate Starbucks. Because of that, Starbucks app payments and rewards aren't accepted. Prices were higher than a typical Starbucks, and service was noticeably slower as well. The lobby staff were generally pleasant and helpful, which I appreciated. However, between the inconsistent housekeeping, breakfast and Starbucks, the overall experience didn't quite meet my expectations for a Hilton property.

Very nice hotel, they have an amazing gym and pool area on the 4th floor I believe, a few restaurants and bars in the lobby. The downtown location is right down the street from 6th street where a lot of the restaurants and bars are in downtown. The staff was very helpful as well, we were here during the Austin Marathon weekend so the area was pretty busy. The hotel was having issues with the lobby elevators all weekend, then staff was onsite assisting guest to the back freight elevators to keep the flow going so people weren't waiting downstairs for too long.

(4.5 stars) We looked into a few downtown hotels before settling on the Hilton. The location, price point (not hideously expensive), and trust in the Hilton brand steered us here. Fortunately, it proved to be the right decision. Situated right near the former Convention Center, the Hilton is proximate to restaurants, coffee shops, bars, clubs, museums, and more. The building's height also makes it easy to find if you're wandering around downtown. Inside, the Hilton is spacious, well-staffed, and well-maintained. All of the staff we interacted with were courteous, and the front desk was even kind enough to send us some prosecco and cake for our anniversary, a thoughtful personal touch. Our room proved to be clean, comfortable, and quiet. It was advertised as a "city view" room, and it delivered. Had we relied on the hotel's restaurants or needed its (hideously expensive) valet parking, we might have had more room for complaint, but for our purposes, the Hilton was a fine pick.

I think overall the hotel was nice. I did notice some of linens were thready and needed to be discarded. Other than that the hotel staff and housekeeping were very helpful and attentive to our needs. I did enjoy the pool area and hot tub as well

I stayed at the Hilton Austin for a work trip. Our company had set up a conference meeting here at this hotel. Everything was very organized. We were able to get situated. I was able to do a mobile check-in couple days prior. I was able to choose my room which is a great perk. However, I feel like it could be not beneficial if I'm not familiar with the layout and some of the auxiliary situations. However, it is not something that one of the other hotel chains does, so it's a feature to have. The lobby's really big and grand. The lobby is out in the open and almost unassuming area and once you're checked in and elevators are to to the side. The tower is built tall with not that many rooms on a floor. This did cause a couple of issues after the end of our conference. When everyone was going back to the rooms it would take a while to get back. Some people were taking the stairs instead which is probably better option. There are a couple dining options here, there's a taco place. The Hilton here is located right next to the convention center, so this is a great place, especially if you have any conferences at the convention center or right here in the hotel. Note to self if I'm coming back next time to choose a floor that is as low as possible

Skyline view

Oh Hilton claiming to be a 4 star hotel.... I've seen motels better up kept. Let's begin with the skyline view room. 18th floor... ok good start. Look out the window looking at the middle of other buildings. Not exactly a skyline. Then looking down seeing a roof with trash piled on it. Seriously? I pay all this money for a 4 star hotel and this is the view I get? Moving on. Room itself is nicely sized. King bed. Comfy couch. Has a mini fridge. Ok but where's my microwave? Once again even some motels have microwaves! Breakfast is NOT included but you can buy it for $31/day per person. Other hotels include it. The bathroom.... Mirror has visible damage, air vents are not regularly cleaned. Shower head shows buildup. Though toilet flushes! Hooray for that. Pool area is relatively small. Cool that it's on the roof of the 8th story but hot tub is well just barely hot and has very few jets. I can get a better one for the backyard for the price of a couple of nights here. Pool, didn't jump in but was overfilled and splashing onto the floor with every breeze. Internet... they give you a password, but for what? The WiFi is an open (thus dangerous) network which any hacker can get onto with no security. God forbid you try to use vpn with it, you can't browse anything then. If you want faster internet it will cost you. People what year do we live in that a 4 star hotel isn't giving you free secure high speed internet?! Building is pretty. Staff are nice. Sure sometimes they forget to take out the trash and just make the bed. Oh and they seem to have grabbed my white shirt mistaking it for a towel and left a towel behind instead. There goes a nice shirt I'll never see again. Hilton needs to step up its game. Looks great from the outside but does not deliver value for the money at all.

Horribly abusive night manager

Even as a Hilton honors member, the staff member was so rude and insulting to me. I will never ever stay at a Hilton property again.

The Hilton hotel is awesome they almost event for the guests and public all free. Whiteclaw is serving up free samples of their numerous flavors and they got a chef cooking up lamb kofta!

I chose a high-floor room with a skyline view during my stay in Austin, and that turned out to be a great decision. The staff throughout the hotel were consistently helpful and friendly, which made the experience even better. The bed comes with four pillows, though they were a bit softer than I personally prefer. One thing I wasn't a big fan of was how quickly the room's lighting automatically shuts off--even while sitting and watching TV, the lights would turn off after a short time. On the positive side, the shower was excellent. It features a rain-style shower head, which often means low pressure, but this one had strong water pressure and was great. The rooftop pool and bar area offer an excellent view of the city and are a great place to relax. The fitness center is solid as well, with several pieces of equipment and a separate space for fitness training. The room has a circular table instead of a traditional desk, which I personally would have preferred, though it may work perfectly fine for other travelers. Both valet and self-parking are available (for a fee), and I really appreciated the convenience of mobile check-in and keyless entry. One small observation: the TV channel guide seems off--MTV programming never seems to match what's actually playing, something I've noticed in Hilton hotels across the country. The location is another highlight, with easy walking access to Sixth Street where you'll find plenty of bars and a few nearby restaurants. Overall, it's a comfortable stay in a great location

Thank you Hilton! We really enjoyed our stay here! Beautiful hotel with a variety of amenities such as 2 restaurants, Starbucks F45, and more. We stayed in a suite on the 22nd floor. The room was spacious with great city views. We received complimentary treats from the GM which made the stay even more special. Will be back!!

Delicious unusual dessert. It was a special.

Ask the Community - Hilton Austin

Does anyone know what floors/side of the hotel the suite and executive suites are located? Also, do any of the room comes with a stand alone shower?

I would recommend a high level floor with an even number... i think they have better views. I stayed in an odd number room and our view was the pool and other rooms. I didn't stay in a suite but our shower was not stand alone.

Is there coffee in the room?

Yes. Not great though

Do they allow dogs?

Yes for an extra fee!

Does the rooms have a microwave?

nope

Does anyone know if this Hilton hotel on 4th has jetted tubs in any of the rooms? I did not see photos of the bathrooms on Yelp.

Stand up shower stalls only. No tubs of any kind...you'd have to go to a higher end hotel to get a tub with jets in it..lol

Hello, I have an upcoming stay in an executive level room. I saw online that an 'Honor bar' was offered, and a little confused as to what that means?

If you are a Hilton Honors member, you will have access to that lounge. You may also have access to the lounge based on your room-rate package.

Does the Hilton offer a full brunch on Sundays, if so how much is it?

They only have the breakfast (omelette station, waffles, fruit, pastries, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, juices, etc.) until lunch time. There is a taco place but it isn't open for breakfast on Sundays. Many restaurants within walking distance offer…

We also dined at Nido, the hotel's restaurant, for both dinner and breakfast, and it was definitely a highlight. Located on the topmost floor, Nido offers stunning views of the river and downtown Austin. With both indoor and outdoor seating, the ambiance is elegant and ideal for a special evening. During our visit, we saw a couple of groups celebrating birthdays and wedding anniversaries, which shows how perfect this place is for special occasions. The pricing is on the higher side, but it matches the upscale experience and beautiful setting. For dinner, we ordered the Burrata as an appetizer and the Autumn Garden for the main course, along with an American IPA and a Jack Frost cocktail. Everything was delicious, but the Burrata truly stood out as my favorite. Breakfast was equally enjoyable--we had custom-made omelettes with veggies and avocado toast, both fresh and flavorful. Overall, The Loren Hotel, along with Nido, offers a great blend of comfort, excellent food, and a beautiful atmosphere. A perfect choice if you're looking to celebrate something special or simply treat yourself to a high-end experience.

Location, comfortable bed, good shower, clean, the room gets nice and cold, etc. We stayed in a budget hotel the first night in Austin, and while it got the job done, the upgrade here was very apparent from the moment we walked in. Two possible flags against the hotel were prevented on my end. 1) When I am driving to a destination, I bring my pillows from home. Why risk bad hotel pillows when you can just throw yours in a large duffel? I'm glad I did this because the pillows didn't look great, but maybe I'm just picky about pillows. 2) Parking is $60/night. I found parking that was $30 total for two nights, two blocks away. Easy decision to save $90. Download SpotHero if you don't already have it. It's amazing. Bonus: despite not parking on-site, the valet guys were great about letting us park temporarily to load and unload. It was really easy and there was space for it. This will definitely be my go-to Austin hotel, moving forward.

The bathroom was also spacious and nice with good shower products. One thing I will say is that the air conditioning is VERY loud. I shared a bed with my friend that wasn't directly in front of it, but our other friend in the "tundra" was pretty uncomfortable during the night because it was both cold and loud. Other than that, I enjoyed this hotel. They are so kind to give you free water every time you walk in, which is great!

We had a clean and tidy suite on the first level. Two double beds were comfy and plenty of towels. Our first night's stay was decent. Surprised to know they seem to use softened water because it made our skin feel slippery. I noticed the shower gel holder was falling out of the wall. A precarious situation of having to carefully pull the mechanism to dispense without pulling too hard. I did notify the night staff but the next day, it didn't seem like anyone came to fix it. No extra body wash or soap was provided even when I asked for some. The wall sockets with the en-suite appliances was not usable. The electrical outlets weren't working so we couldn't toast anything, use the kettle, or the coffee machine. Couldn't find one with a GFCI breaker to reset that side so gave up. Interestingly, the full-sized fridge and microwave were working ok though. The rod for one of the window curtains fell off while opening them. Because it's floor to ceiling we just left it alone. The common spaces around the property are well decorated, from the Library, Executive board room, kids corner, gym/yoga studio, and outdoor lounge space. Although, the snack/tea/coffee station with Keurig isn't filled maintained often. We had to ask the night staff to refill the water for tea and the lobby water dispenser was constantly low as well. On our second to last day, I found the hot water and still water station downstairs at Simona's. Pros: Clean, comfy, affordable stay. Enjoyed the bottomless drip coffee $5 and their signature Breakfast at Tiffany's latte. Also appreciated them letting us do late checkout and upgrade our room. Cons: Complimentary water station, Keurig / snack station, overall maintenance of room amenities could be handled better. Warning: If booking from 3rd party (BILT, Capital One Portal...) the added parking is not the same price that's on Colton's House's website. It's actually $40/day (with in/out privileges).
