The korean burritto wrap was falling apart and the flavor needed a punch like add a bimbimbap sauce or some kind of korean flavored sauce with some korean chili flavor. The slaw on the side was not great and just tasted like vinegar and paprika. The BLT was on a small fresh roll but was also falling apart and made it hard to eat without making a mess. The bacon had no smokey flavor and the cream cheese was a little too much so changes I would make is stronger bun, bacon with more smokiness, maybe some picked red onion to cut the richness. They make the best homemade salsa and soup in the surrounding area!! It's worth the drive and not too far out of the way. Forewarning, the salsa is on the sweeter side, per se, and I usually get 'medium' but they also have 'hot'. I've never had anything like it, it's sooo good. They have just about anything you'd want from a farmers market and my pictures don't really do it justice. And guess what, they're open 6 days a week!! The owner still makes her mouth-watering assortment of soups, but now-a-days instead of having them steaming hot in crock pots for patrons to scoop their desired amount, they are prepackaged and frozen for all to enjoy when it suits them. She says they are even more popular than before. It looks like the same modest place as before, very inviting, and well stocked. I'm thankful we have places like this around! I always check out the meat department but I don't usually purchase because the prices appear to be higher than anywhere else except the Neiman-Marcus of Southern Oregon, Ashland Food Co-Op. I don't typically purchase meat there either because the prices are even higher unless something is on sale and it's something I need. I love the charming acquaintance of MFC, payed lime green and purple and nestled back in tall beautiful trees and greenery. The feeling when I pull into that parking lot is incredibly soothing -- and it's right on Riverside Drive. Go figure? Everyone who works at MFC is kind, warm, and welcoming. They're also really helpful if I have a question or I need something that they might not sell regularly or I just can't find it in the store. I never have a long wait at checkout because they understand service and a cashier comes up to the front immediately when there is anyone waiting to check out. Very, very impressive! Another thing that I really appreciate is that the store is always spotless and organized as well as 100% organic. I don't have to worry about buying something, driving home, and discovering that I purchased conventional food which I do not eat. MFC generally has the things that I want to purchase and it's very easy for me to efficiently pop in by what I need and get back on the road to finish my errands and go home. I needed to drop a package off at the UPS store next-door and happened to see next to an adorable hunter green Model A truck an enticing sign that said Harry & David had fresh chocolate-dipped strawberries in the store, which my husband happens to love. I went in and got some and they were absolutely exceptional. This week I gave a Victorian tea and I remembered those fabulous chocolate-dipped strawberries. Unfortunately, when I went in yesterday to pick up more, the last box had just been sold. I was told that, Audrey, the talented lady who puts them together was coming in this morning and it might be on her agenda to make more I called first thing when the store opened and talked to a really wonderful young man who told me they would do their very best, if possible, to get some to me before my tea began. At 11AM my phone rang and it was Erica who told me that Audrey had made the chocolate -dipped strawberries. I could not believe it!!! Talk about GREAT customer service! My husband drove down, bought them and drove them back before the ladies started arriving for tea. Those super-fresh chocolate-dipped strawberries were the absolute hit of the tea, and everyone was both impressed and delighted by how kind the folks at Harry & David were.
