OK, I want to update my 1st review here and say that these guys at Hill Country Cycles did most definitely satisfy my situation in the end! It took a little while longer than originally expected but at the end of the day I received an excellent product from these guys! I recommend Hill Country Cycles and I will do business with them again when needed! read more

I ordered a set of prewired handlebars from their website for a bike that was ultimately sold before I could get it. My mistake as this was a pretty penny of about $1,600. Hill Country Custom Cycles has a 25% restocking fee. I requested cancellation nearly immediately after ordering the handlebars. I received the runaround. Had to have my bank credit me the full refund amount because this business stopped responding to my emails and calls. Total fucking crooks. You'd be better off taking a shit on a pile of cash and lighting it on fire than spending a penny at this place. There's a reason they have an F rating with the BBB. 5/28/2026 - made an order 5/31/2026 - emailed you asking to cancel & refund 6/2/2026 - followed up 6/3/2026 - received a response, reinformed me of 25% cancellation fee which I agreed to because I need my money back even though no work had been completed at that point... 6/5/2026 - I followed up, no response 6/9/2026 - I followed up, no response 6/12/2026 - I followed up, no response 6/23/2026 - received a voicemail informing me that parts of my cancelled order were out of stock, I called back and mentioned that I formally canceled that order at the end of May 6/26/2026 - received another voicemail stating that even though my order was with accounting for cancellation, parts were in stock, asking if I wanted to proceed 7/21/2026 - my bank gave me my money back in full, having not heard from the business in a month read more

I would give them a negative star if I could. purchased +4 throttle and brake line, shipping slow, but received. throttle cable length was correct, but brake cable was +8. emailed and they said they didn't have anymore +4. why send something if it's not correct. they offered return for refund. I paid to have item shipped back and nothing. no response to emails or calls. took my money and ghost. After numerous emails and calls I gave up. No one should give them anymore business. They need to crawl in a hole and ....... read more

I ordered a complete handle bar kit from these people. I ordered the wrong riser. It was smaller than the bars. The man I talked to on the phone was very rude ! And basically told me that I ordered the wrong parts. Which was fine, my mistake. I didn't read it.. but also I'm missing a brake line. The box was damaged and had holes in it as I explained to him on the phone.. I had to file a thing with his insurance because he wouldn't do it. I called back and no answer. I was wondering if this was a big mistake ordering parts from this company. I have bought parts from this company in the past with no problem. I don't understand what's going on now. read more

After ordering a kit from them it has been nothing but crickets. I called after three weeks and they told me 4 more weeks, those weeks went by and nothing, they will not answer the phone or respond to emails so I filed a chargeback on my credit card with them. Stay away from this company they are a complete scam! read more

The quality is good! The customer service as long as you don't get Freddie is very helpful! I personally had a really good experience like 5 years ago with getting a handlebar kit. But this past march my son wanted a kit and that's when we got to experience Freddie! VERY rude! Just watch if you go to order you get what you pay for. Look on this yelp im not the only one that has had an issue with him! I'm spending $1500. For new bars. Should be a little kinder and explain everything CLEARLY! read more

Waiting to see what type of customer service they provide. But it sucks working on your bike all day then run into this!!

customer service sucks. I ordered a complete 16 inch bar set every time you call they have an attitude when I got my 16 inch bars put them on and notice they are a lot bigger than my previous 16 inch bars out the tape measure measure at 18 inches. Customer service said nothing we can do. never gonna order through them again and I will tell everyone I see to stay far far away. read more

I purchased a fork rebuild kit from these guys, a week goes by and nothing. 12 days out and I send an email. They said my kit was shipped and gave me a tracking number that didn't exist and a piture to download I'm guessing It was supposed to show me the tracking info. I downloaded the pic and It was nothing but a white square. This went on for another 3 days and 3 more white squares. Finally, today I got a tracking number and found out they just shipped It out this morning. They've been jerking me around for almost 2 weeks. One and done with these guys. read more

I should have known from the very beginning when I called to ask questions about the pre-wired kit. never could get a hold of anyone for two weeks. when I finally did the guy was a complete asshole. The kit was truly a piece of shit. the housings felt like plastic, and you had to have the grips of a gorilla to flip the switches. switches were faulty lights popping on and off going down the road. $1300 was a lot of money for me. total waste of money. Stay away from these thieves. read more

These guys are either complete morons or scam artists. They do not know anything about cables which is funny because that's what they are selling. You can give them an exact cable length but they will still ask you arbitrary questions you must answer or you won't be dealt with. Then you will get the wrong size, and they will say it's your fault. After that they just send you in circles about calling sales, and sales is horrid, and then you start to email, but the emails just say call sales. Save yourself a ton of time and money, and just do business elsewhere. read more

Getting the run around on returning wrong size cables. Seems like a scam it's been 3 weeks, I've called several times talked to Freddie.

Bought pre wired bars from these idiots. The switches didn't work. They would not stand behind their work. Beware of buying anything from these guys. read more

Got 12" bars kit for my 07 deuce. What a joke. First thing was wrong brake line made me pay to send it back . Not my fault! Had the bars on and took out of garage and in the sun. Had sanding marks all over. Would not send me a new pair, had to send the one back. Told me they would bump me to front of line. They lied , they waited till they got them back and had them r Chrome. So now xtra month has gone by from the first time I got them. . then I don't get my hand grip back. I have to call again. I emailed them a bunch of times asking for managers never would call me. When u email them it's like talking to a robot and I told them that! When I got the bars back. They r better but not perfect! I told them this is a show bike like many other people have. I am so mad,, will probably cut them up with with a saw saw. Just one bad thing after another. Only one star because I had to . read more

Worst customer service I've dealt with in my life. My order was cancelled, they shipped it anyway after confirmation of cancellation. I had to pay out of pocket to ship it back in which they have received it. After numerous emails I just finally received an email that it's in the process of being checked in by some phantom dept. This is a small business that seems to act large. All I want is my money refunded that should have never been taken in the first place. Good luck if you have a problem! read more

The worst experience and purchase I have ever made. Rude snotty almost bullish attitudes. Got my bars (black powder coated) and when I got them blotchy from protective sock that will not buff, uneven coating. wires were all cut, torn in spots. over priced junk They like to push blame on to customer instal of owning up to their mistakes. refused to reimburse me something for the bad finish, and repaying for reinstall because their wiring was jacked from the start. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Robert is a @sshole along with M@rk. th read more

They have had my original bars and controls for 4 weeks. They are supposed to wire an new bar and add heated grips. 3 emails, 2 voicemails and actually spoke to a human until he put me on hold and cut me off. Now they won't even answer their phone. Don't give your money to these clowns! If you are doing your own work you may be ok just having them ship you stuff, but do not have them build you anything. Check out the BBB reviews as well. Zero customer service, hard to believe these days where social media tells all. read more

I have bought several handlebar kits from HCC and have always been pleased. Never had any issues or complaints. I understand the lead time needed, and my bars were shipped in the time frame they gave me. The quality of their products is great. Great company to deal with. read more

Sent wrong brake line, wrong sized banjo, way too long, ended up getting another line sent, still way too long, sent it back, and that's where it stops after 9 months, Mark doesn't reply to emails after saying they'll get another made up, yup that was made up, 9 months now. Over priced sh*t with piss poor service, take your business anywhere other than hill country customs read more

I recently purchase a complete 16" Ape Hanger kit. The chrome controls look great. All cable were perfectly sized. The handle bars were internally wired with all of the control buttons were pre-wired. The plugs fit perfectly into the stock wiring harness. It couldn't have been easier to do the job. I highly recommend Hill Country Custom Cycles!!! Charlie T. read more

Ordered a pre wired kit for a 2013 CVO Road King. It took about two weeks from the day I ordered to receive my kit. Received the bars and the controls were wired incorrectly. Contacted HCC and was informed that it would take up to an additional 2 weeks to receive the bars back, rebuild them, and ship them back out to me. The only "benefit" I received was the good grace for them to send me a shipping label, GROUND because it was too expensive to overnight, even though they are the ones who messed my order up. Not even an offer to overnight my fixed product back to me. Nope, GROUND again. And then the technician who was supposed to work on my bars the day they came in left early, so now my repair got pushed another two days, since they don't work weekends. To top it all off, if I wanted my money back, I would STILL be subject to a restocking fee, even though HCC is the one who made the mistake. At close to $1000 for the kit I ordered, one would expect a little more customer service than just "well, unfortunately that's the way it is." When you charge a premium for your products and kits, customers expect premium service too. Bottom line: if you do decide to order, just hope and pray that they get it right the first time. Lesson learned though... I will NOT be recommending HCC to anyone I know. read more

These guy's are awesome, Quick responses and shipped items out right away. I only use this company for my customers that need Apes on their Harley. Thanks HCC read more

If I could give less than one star I would. HCC use to have a great reputation. I ordered the Paul Yaffe bars for my 2013, Road King CVO. Placed the order on September 9, 2021. I paid $1,769.95. My mechanic suggested that I call HCC to make sure they knew my setup (turn signals off the bars). The Representative said the bars would be ready in 15 days. October 26, my mechanic called to find out the status. The Representative told him the bars are on backorder and it would be three weeks. Finally received the bars on December 5th. Got a call on December 8th from my mechanic that the bars are wired wrong. December 9th, my mechanic got in touch with HCC. HCC will be sending him the necessary connectors. December 14th, connectors don't work. I have left three voice messages with HCC and they're not calling me back. My mechanic called and finally got in touch with Rob. The bars are being returned. January 21st, the bars were shipped back to my mechanic. Again they are wired incorrectly and my mechanic returned the bars again on January 24th. Only this time he sent my original bars to HCC to make sure they get it right. February 8, 2022, the bars have finally arrived and appear to be correct. From September 9, 2021, to February 8, 2022. 5 months for bars. RIDICULOUS! Hill Country Custom Cycles should be so proud, and yet, I have never even heard from a single person at HCC, much less Robert Smith, even though I have sent him two emails in this regard. Just a simple apology or explanation would go a long way. read more

I had a ordered a handlebar kit from Hill Country Cycles. They called me and told me they didn't have the handlebars that I wanted. I decided to order the wiring, the clutch cable, the brake cable, and the wiring for the electronic throttle and I would get the handlebars elsewhere. They gave me a total price of $283 just for those parts and credited my credit card for the price of the handlebars. When I was installing the parts on my bike, I found out that the clutch cable was to short and it looked like it had been used. I called the company and they agreed to refund me for the cable. After a few weeks I get a call and they told me they were going to charge me $183.00 because they refunded me $238 and I told them that was the refund for the handlebars. Then they told me they would refund me $55 for the clutch cable and they refused to refund me for the shipping cost to send the cable back to them. If you buy from them multiple parts make sure you get an itemized price list because if you have to return anything they going to put whatever price they want. read more
