My experience with Hiley GMC has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I have a 2024 GMC Sierra, and the rear sensor is malfunctioning. I first contacted the service department about a month ago and was told it could take approximately three days to diagnose and repair the issue. I was also told to call back the following day to see if they could get my truck in sooner. I called on three separate occasions and left three messages but never received a return call. I eventually went back to the dealership in person and spoke with another service advisor about scheduling a time to drop off my truck. Because they told me they would need my truck for several days, I explained that I would need a loaner vehicle. I was told they only had a limited number of loaners and that those were being prioritized for customers with transmission problems and other more serious repairs. I completely understand prioritizing major repairs, so I asked if I could simply be placed on a waiting list. I made it clear that I did not mind waiting a few weeks or even a couple of months as long as I could eventually get an appointment with a loaner vehicle. I was told I would be put on the schedule. However, when I called the next day to confirm, I was told I was not on the schedule and that this arrangement was not available to me. To make matters worse, when we purchased this truck from Hiley Used Cars, it was a Certified Used Vehicle and we paid the over $900 "dealer fee" which we were told included the certification fee. After checking on the GM website it is not listed as certified and only has a warranty to 60,000 miles. This is a big deal since certified cars get a 100,000 mile warranty and the reason we did not purchase an extended warranty. We sent multiple emails shortly after the sale asking Hiley Used Cars and our sales person to address and correct this issue, but those requests were repeatedly ignored and went unanswered. This issue is still not resolved. Since then, I have continued to get the runaround. I even called to make a complaint about the lack of communication and professionalism and was told someone would contact me. Once again, I never received a call back. The sensor issue itself may be relatively minor, but that is not the point. This is a 2024 GMC Sierra that we purchased with the understanding that it was a certified used vehicle, and it is still under warranty. A dealership should stand behind the vehicles it sells and make a reasonable effort to take care of its customers. Customers should not have to make repeated phone calls, leave multiple messages, visit the dealership in person, and send multiple unanswered emails just to get warranty service or concerns about their purchase addressed. Another issue was with the financing department. I came in pre approved through my credit union and I specifically said I didn't want my credit run again to avoid another inquiry on my credit report and the finance manager ensured me it would not be run. However, they did run it and I've disputed with the credit bureaus and Hiley will not take it off. It has caused a "ding" on my credit for too many inquiries and 2 of them were from Hiley and GM which I did not agree to. Also the truck was in a previous wreck which was not disclosed. I found this on a carfax report. Based on my experience so far, I cannot recommend Hiley GMC and will be taking my business to Sewell. read more

Buyer beware. I made the mistake of forgoing a prepurchase inspection. Battery died two days after purchase. Drivers door lock actuator went intermittent. Headlights strobe at night indicating need for ballast replacement. Engine oil leak dripping on garage floor and the suspension started tilting to one side. $6000 to make right. They are either incapable of assessing problems or they choose not to disclose them. Either way they don't care about the problems a customer will inherit. read more

I own a 2021 Buick Envision - bought new at this dealership with promises of a loaner if service needed. The vehicle has less than 17,000 and the back up camera is working intermittently. When I called to make an appointment, I was told I would have to leave it for 3-5 days to get diagnosed and then bring it back once problem figured out. No loaner during this process. This is my only vehicle and I'm a single 71 year old woman. I'm expected to leave my vehicle there for an indeterminate amount of time and have no transportation. The last time something like this occurred, it took them 2 WEEKS to figure out the problem - which was a warranty issue. I inquired about a new vehicle and subsequently visited the dealership, and test drove the vehicle. The sales persons attitude changed when I advised him I was interested in the lease. I advised him that I also wanted to use the GM Employee discount, he told me that I would get the friends and family discount; I said no? I get the employee discount. He then proceeded to tell me I was $4000 upside down in my 2024 Cadillac with 16,000 miles. KBB offered me a cash offer that was $5,000 more than the Hiley offer. It's clear now that we were sold a lemon -- the car has had issue after issue, and what's worse is that their service department has proven completely incapable of fixing anything. We've brought the car in multiple times for the same problems, and each time we're met with vague explanations, empty promises, and delays. They either don't know how to fix it, or they just don't care. Either way, the incompetence is staggering. Communication is abysmal -- we're constantly the ones having to call for updates, only to be told "we're still waiting on a part" or "technician hasn't had a chance to look at it yet" even after days or weeks have passed. Meanwhile, we're stuck without a reliable vehicle and no one at this dealership is taking accountability for the mess they sold us. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere. One star. I came in a couple times to buy a car. The first couple times I went, I just wanted to get a feel for what car I wanted. On my third visit, I was willing to make a deal. The place is less than professional. Some things to watch out for: They have a dealer adds on fee listed as "Hiley Protection". Not sure if this is supposed to change, but on one vehicle is was about $1900, and on another it was about $2000. This includes wheel locks and window tint, which is a huge market up to make up for their discounts. My third and final visit, i was not helped and waited for 30 minutes for someone to come back and assist. You would think the salesmen would not be so possessive over which customers worked with which sales agents. During my first couple visits, they seemed willing to negotiate the add on fee. When I went my third time, I told them we could make a deal today if they could remove it. Instead of negotiating on it, they just told me to kick rocks. I left, and they were pretty unprofessional about it. They sent some passive aggressive texts too. read more

In my honest opinion this dealership doesn't even deserve a one star from my part. I wish I would have read their reviews before sending my vehicle here. I had been getting so much mail from them to send my car in for a recall, in which I finally caved in especially because it was a recall on airbag deployment. I took my vehicle in and they "fixed it", only for me to receive it and have "service airbag" on my dash that was not there before I took my vehicle to them. I called them and they said to bring it in and they ended up charging me for a diagnosing that I specifically said to not do because I did not it. The only reason I brought in my vehicle for the recall not for them to diagnose anything else. I was very disappointed in the way I was treated and how they handled the situation and they basically said it was not their fault, but neither was it mine because my vehicle didn't have any airbag issues beforehand. I spoke to Nick and he took with his sales representative and neither one was able to fix the situation. i would stay away from this dealership as they will tell you whatever it takes to make a sale but will not follow through on anything they promised. We recently looked at a vehicle there which didn't have all the accessories we wanted, however the dealership said they could easily add on these options after we purchased the vehicle. We even went through the options we wanted at least THREE times to ensure we and the service department who would be installing it were on the same page. We ultimately agreed and after leaving the vehicle to get the add ons completed, we were called a few days later and told only some of the parts came in and the rest were on "back order." They went ahead and installed the parts that came in so we could take the vehicle home but would call us to bring the vehicle back for the rest of the installation when the other parts came in. Well of course no one ever called us - so I called the dealership several times to get an update but was just given the run around. I finally got a call back from the sales department and was told the other parts were not included and they were never ordered. And if I wanted it completed at this point, I would need to pay for it. Really?? Then why was their own service department under the same impression as we were that the installation was included in the vehicle purchase? And why was I told the parts were on back order? This is a dishonest dealership which only cares about making a sale and not about honoring their word, agreements or customer service. We, of course, can't get anyone to call us back at this point- from the manager on down to the sales rep as it seems they will not honor our purchase agreement. Save yourself the frustration and heartache and get a vehicle at a different dealership that has professionalism and integrity. read more

Purchased a new GMC Terrain Denali in July. After six weeks it had a transmission problem. The dealership had it for seven weeks. They did come up with a loaner about four days later. While it was there it was driven 300 miles. The same problem occurred again one week ago. I have yet to get a loaner although under Texas law if a car is under warranty the dealership must give you a loner. GMC offered to reimburse me at $44/day if I rented a GMC product. This amount will not cover the rental cost. Everyone at the dealership is polite. There is just nothing they can do. Being 84 years old, I opted to buy a new vehicle instead of a used one thinking there would be no issues. There is nothing in walking distance from where I live. Husband in memory care. Dealt with Chris Pringle (salesman) and Robert Olson, Customer mgr). Horrible experience. Almost impossible to get a real person to answer their phone. Virtually no follow-up after the sale. And, in my dealings with them, I experienced questionable integrity, at best. Also their attempts to sell you things you don't need like extended car warranty and Sirius and GMC apps and subscriptions are relentless. Even though I got a good price on my car, in the end it was not worth it. I would rather pay a little more for a car and trust the people I'm working with because it will be cheaper in the long run. I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the customer service provided by your dealership. Approximately four months ago, my husband and I visited the dealership to cancel the gap and extended warranty, completing the required paperwork. We were informed that the refund process would take six to eight weeks. However, it has been four months, and we have yet to receive any updates. Last week, we returned to the dealership and attempted to speak with a representative about the issue. Shawn(I believe was his name) stated that the person handling the warranties was unavailable and promised to call us around 1:30 that day. Unfortunately, we did not receive a call. My husband made numerous phone calls that same day to the dealership, but our issue remains unresolved. We have made over 30 phone calls in the past four months, which is absolutely ridiculous considering you can NEVER get anybody on the phone! By far the Worst customer service ever! I arrange for a friend to pick me up on my scheduled day, only to be told that I will need to leave my truck for 7-10 days for it to be diagnosed. Are you kidding me? CHARGED FOR WORK THEY DID NOT COMPLETE. I scheduled maintenance (oil change, tire rotation, and alignment) this past Saturday, June 17th. After paying and taking the car home, my husband noticed that the orientation of the tires didn't change as I have a brand new tire on the passenger rear. We took the car immediately back to the dealership and asked what orientation they do their tire rotations in, the man said and I quote "we bring them back to front, don't switch sides" so my my brand new tire should've been at the passenger front. My husband told the man this, to which he told us he'd have to check the tread depths... we were right, new tire in the same spot. They charged us for a tire rotation they did not complete. That is stealing and very sneaky. While they did give back our $30 for the rotation, we will not be returning due to bad business being ran here. After I told Arvin that my wife is set on that vehicle and to not to let us test drive that car, if it's in the process of being sold. Scheduled an appointment and Dropped the truck off on Wednesday for a check engine light. 2 days later and they tell me it's throwing a 420 code so they have to search more. Then on Monday or Tuesday I am told it's a fuel injector. Which is interesting since we took it to autozone got it scanned and it told us what it was immediately which was: Fuel Injector!! 10 min and bam! But no. They gave me an estimate for $1200+ and on that itemized estimate just said in short "Fuel injector replace and system regen" no labor hours, part costs. Nothing. Needless to say my husband wanted his truck back so bad and to get it done we just wanted to pay it and get it out of there. Tuesday afternoon we get a call saying it's done. It took 5 business days to diagnose the check engine, replace the fuel injector, and do a system regen. We did not get offered a discount for the inconvenience, nor was there any apology. Granted yes we got a rental vehicle, but it's not out truck. I didn't feel comfortable driving in a brand new vehicle and putting miles on it, it's not fair to the customers. I had my certified pre-owned 2018 GMC Terrain for less than 2 years and it apparently needs a whole new engine. 4 months later and I am still without a vehicle, while making the payments, and NO ONE is willing to help even though I have both powertrain warranty AND an extended warranty. Hiley's warranty administrator denied my claim and NEVER calls back and is impossible to reach. Good thing I have someone in the family who works for GM. This will go straight to the corporate level. If need be, my warranty contract will end up in the hands of my attorney, and we'll take it from there. read more
