Loved stopped here....small shop nestled in behind another restaurant. Good seating. Greeted warmly by person behind the counter. Although they were busy, they helped me out a lot with my order. Loved that! Gotta do the smoked salmon cream cheese over a bagel. Excellent!. Coffee isn't strong but flavorful. Didn't have to add anything to it.

Hidden behind the subway... a block or two off the waterfront. Highliner has modern sleek feel once you get inside. Full coffee bar with knowledgeable baristas. A good variety of savory and sweet treats. Coffee is good, blueberry scone is good. Customers and staff all look happy.

Great coffee shop with a great cozy feel in Sitka. We stopped by while in town during our cruise and stopped in to get our day started. It was a bit busy but the line moved fast. The drinks were great along with the pastries, this place definitely didn't disappoint. I bought one of the espresso dark chocolate bars they had for sale and it's amazing.

We stumbled upon Highliner Coffee in 2023 when we were in Sitka for a fishing trip. Not knowing anything about this small town, we relied on Yelp, social media and local recommendations on where to go. We fell in love last year with Highliner Coffee and in 2024, on our 2nd visit to Sitka eagerly returned. What's not to love about this place? Their Coffee and teas are phenomenal (I believe they roast their own beans), prepare freshly baked pastries and desserts daily, prepare delicious bagels and breakfast burritos and have some of the friendliest staff on hand to make your experience special. While everything at Sitka seems to cost more- I found thr pricing at Highlighner to be fair. On our recent trip, we came here daily- sometimes twice per day. We got our breakfast fix of coffee and tea with a bagel or burrito then returned in the afternoon for more coffee and a pastry! It's best to come in the morning when they have plenty of everything- as towards the afternoon their sweets are much limited. There isn't alot of parking here and we usually park on the street. They do have drive thru service which seems popular , but we enjoy sitting in their cafe (free WiFI and the speed is good)! It's definitely worth giving Highliner a try and I look forward to our return next year!!!

Breakfast items are Devine. My go to stop when in Sitka. Love their coffee. Always busy. Get there early for best selection. Recommend burrito, coffee or croissant sandwich.

Cute and cozy coffee cafe shop. We were craving a coffee fix since the free coffee on the cruise and "Starbucks" shops on the boat weren't doing it. We found this place and boy oh boy do they serve a solid coffee. If I'm ever in this area again I would definitely come back. The husband got a white mocha and I got an ice vanilla latte. Best coffee in Alaska we have had. The service was friendly and had great recommendations. Wish I had this brewery closer to home so I can have it on the regular.

Excellent coffee! The cinnamon oat muffin was tasty, but a bit dry. The service was friendly and the ambiance was that of a small coffeehouse. Would definitely return if I'm ever back in Sitka.

Stopped in to get some hot coffee while ported here on our cruise! We were looking for a nice place to grab some hot coffee and get out of the cold! We ended up meeting the owner and she was so friendly! When ordering, the staff helped us pick their specialty, the highliner latte and it was delicious!! If we cruise to Sitka again, we will definitely be back!!

Well-who knew it would rain in Alaska in May.?. So when cold and wet, stop for a warm drink! 3 lattes & 1 chai what could go wrong----well 2 out of 4 were correct. So 50/50 at best. It was nice seeing gluten free treats. Overall---beggars can't be choosy. And they have the market cornered in the little town. Best of luck.

My personal temple while I worked in Sitka. The coffee is great, and comes out ABSURDLY fast. And it's so damn hot, you won't be able to drink it right away. The also have some phenomenal food that rises above the usual baked and processed goods. Specifically, the have breakfast sandwiches that would put most dedicated restaurants to shame. The only sad thing is...they rarely have them in stock, at least while I was visiting. They also have breakfast burritos that are, again, restaurant quality. Space is always fresh-faced and happy, the exact type of people you want to interact with in the wee hours.

Blueberry crisp with homemade cream! First stop in Sitka for a strong iced coffee before an adventure.

I loved the coffee. Surfed the web and bought my would-be husband a cool magnet there. It was a nice atmosphere :)

Definitely recommend the avocado toast (pickled onion x sea salt combo goes crazy)! We visited like 3 mornings in a row, I think. Really big portions! The kind of love that envelops you when you walk into a room, instantly making you feel welcome. That is the kind of magic that simple ingredients in the hands of those who actually care can have. Ma chère amie, please do not imagine that the menu is limited only to old-world gluten heaven. No. The magic extends to those who cannot partake. However, you must peruse that menu at your own leisure. For me, as I can happily partake in such hedonistic gluten, I had a special of turkey, pesto, avocado, and the ooziest, creamiest, most decadent cheese that, alas, I do not recall the name of. But the real superstar, nay, the Josephine Baker of pastries was a pistachio bun (?!?). This was heaven paired perfectly with strong coffee. I may add, it was the only good coffee I had in Alaska. One would expect this in Paris, in a small shop run by a husband and wife with an oven that has been lit for maybe a 100 years. But to stumble into this slice of heaven, accidentally. Divine. 10 out of 10, would recommend.

What a cute flower, coffee, and chocolate shop! I just wish they had more seating inside…read more It just happened to be raining while we were on our way for coffee. People will tell you to bring an umbrella to Alaska. No, you should really just bring a really good waterproof hoody coat. It was bulky, but it protected me from the elements. It's just too windy for an umbrella. Anyway, I thought about trying the spruce tip latte. I ended up getting a Dirty Chai. It was very good. I didn't get to try my husband's Mexi-Mocha with cayenne pepper. He really liked the flavors. He's never had a spicy latte, so it was a real treat for him. The shop has some moose chocolate treats, gifts, flowers, and unique gift items. It was my first time seeing Alaskan sea otter fur earrings. An Alaska native artist makes them. The flowers that they sell here look fresh and beautiful. It's very close to the public library and Harrigan Centennial Hall. It was the perfect stop before getting on the bus back to the Sitka Sound Cruise Terminal. It's also a great stopping point after visiting the Baranof Castle State Historic Site on a cold day. Check it out if you're in Sitka.
