However, you must peruse that menu at your own leisure. For me, as I can happily partake in such hedonistic gluten, I had a special of turkey, pesto, avocado, and the ooziest, creamiest, most decadent cheese that, alas, I do not recall the name of. But the real superstar, nay, the Josephine Baker of pastries was a pistachio bun (?!?). This was heaven paired perfectly with strong coffee. I may add, it was the only good coffee I had in Alaska. Cute little rustic and fun coffee and breakfast shop I can't stop going to! There's only a few things on the breakfast menu but they all look pretty solid. I am a big fan of the avocado toast, they give you what feels like a whole avocado on it! At first I was disappointed in the lack of balsamic reduction but the pickled red onions made up for it with a nice pop of tanginess. The bacon and egg additions are a must though the addition of the two brings the price point to an eye watering 19 dollars. The coffee is pretty good too, though due to the nature of the restaurant (no service, it's an order at the counter kinda affair) bear in mind if you want to take your coffee with you when you're done make sure to say you want it in a to go cup even if you plan on eating your meal in. This place is a great little locally owned bakery. I love these kinda places all around the country. Being from Texas I felt right at home. Also, fantastic burrito. Our hotel was right next door so we came a few mornings. All the pastries made daily, im sure, amazing. Coffee was two thumbs up. I would highly recommend stopping by for bfast and lunch. This place is BUSY! We waited a bit on a Friday morning but was able to get a breakfast scramble and some pastries/coffee to go. Breakfast is tough in this town and it was nice to find someplace that had eggs available and yummy coffee. They had one or two gluten free pastries but I didn't trust them so I didn't try them. The breakfast entree was GF and yummy! Happy to have found them and was happy to wait in line. Also have macarons but didn't ask about them being GF. One of the best places to dine in the restricted Sitka joints. Prices are pretty steep though. However quality and taste is great so kind of balances. We tried avocado toast, açai bowl, eggs, turkey and a few pastries. Everything was great. Timings are short so make sure you are tracking when they close. read more

Really flaky croissants, delicious breakfast burritos, and they drew leafy pictures in the foam on our coffees. Not very many electrical outlets if you need to charge your phone, and you have to bus your own table, but if you weigh the cute atmosphere, okay service, and really great food, this is overall a great place to be. read more

If I could give zero stars for service I would. Balancing the zero with 4-5 stars for the quality of the food I came up with 2. The baked goods are excellent (if you have time to wait). My only complaint about the baked goods is they need more salt to bring out the flavors. The decor and ambiance are fine when less crowded. My experience today: I waited literally 30 minutes (wrap around line to the door) because I saw a basket with several baguettes (my goal) and a couple of pastries I wanted. After waiting through numerous specialty drinks and other food being made when I finally got to the head of the line I was told that all the baguettes were already sold, as well as one of the pastries. It never occurred to me or I'd never have waited in line. IF THEY ARE GONE PUT THEM AWAY. It would be great if they could create a separate pastry line. read more

I have had many breakfast sandwiches in my day, and Wildflour's is absolutely the best I've ever had. It has a fried egg, chipotle aïoli, provolone, fresh greens, avocado, your choice of bacon, sausage, or veggie sausage, and it's served on a plain croissant or a brioche bun. Fabulous! read more
