This gym is super spacious, modern with state of the art equipment. In addition, the gym has a posing room (yep! posing room!), hydro massage and sauna services. There is something for every discerning gym member. I went for a total body workout early this morning. While the time was early morning, the gym was in high gear with a fully packed gym...not an original idea. It was not long waits for the equipment....so, the selection of equipment is good. My goal was to do 3 set of 15-20 reps. Goal accomplished...in addition, it is centrally located with easy access from Burnet Road. With standard Gold's Gym membership, you can access to this gym with no extra cost. Monthly membership is $29-$49 dependent on access level and premium amenities.

From the outside, it sits quietly in a North Austin shopping center near Hop Doddy's. If you blink, you might miss it. Once you step through the doors, you feel transported to a totally different place like Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the Harry Potter story. You find shelves of comics, books, games...everywhere your imagination can take you. Dragon's Lair has been part of the Austin community since 1986. You feel a rush to flip through comics, try on costumes or transport yourself to a fantasy land. New releases co-exist with long loved series. Graphic novels, tabletop games, miniatures, dice, and collectibles are readily available. The prices at Dragon's Liar appear reasonable. According to the store manager, the tables within the store are reserved for Magic tournaments, Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) campaigns, and board games spread across tables. The energy is welcoming fostering collaboration between new and existing players. The shop cats, Diana and Brigid, wander through aisles like they own the place, which makes Dragon Liar feel homey and welcoming. The store stays open late sometimes, acknowledging that games and stories don't always fit neatly into set hours. Dragon's Lair is huge, busy, sometimes overwhelming in a good way. It reflects Austin's creative culture...inclusive, and deeply passionate.

When we went in to this claw machine arcade there were two friendly employees that greeted us. They explained how it works, we paid, got our basket of coins and we were on our way. This place is really cool. It's bright, full of claw machines, and prizes. You can lose track of time enjoying trying to get the plushie of your choice. On multiple occasions we asked for help from one of the employees with regards to the different games. They kindly helped us every time we asked. When you are done playing if you have a lot of plushies they give you an opportunity to trade them in for the plushie of your choice. Overall it was a cool place to visit. The atmosphere was fun, the service is great, and there are a wide variety of plushies to try to win.

Something felt very nostalgic about it and the place gave me the warm and fuzzies like I was kid again. There were so many different rooms and activity zones that kept little ones busy and excited the whole time. Every corner had something new to explore, from play areas where kids can stimulate their imagination, to indoor slides, hands on toys, and creative play stations. It really felt like a kid's dreamland. There is also an outdoor space for the kids to play in, which was a nice bonus, and plenty of variety so children can move from one activity to the next without getting bored. It worked especially well for a birthday party since a large group of kids could all stay entertained at the same time without stepping on each other's fun. They have a designated space where parties can eat food and cake, which makes celebrating easy and organized. They had little seats for the kids to sit in, which can accommodate roughly 20-25 kids. My only wish is that we could have stayed longer. The play sessions were capped at about two hours per session and the time went by fast because the kids were having such a great time. Overall, a good experience and a great spot for younger children to play and celebrate. I would definitely return again and recommend for a kids birthday if you want to keep kids entertained. My kids loved the place.

I've never been to Austin, Texas and have never heard of "Toybrary". I called the number to clarify and Liza was incredibly rude. Super short with me and basically hung up on me as soon as I said I have never been to her establishment. SHE was the one who had contacted me, yet she couldn't give me the time of day for a quick clarifying conversation. So just a heads up - if your name is all Elle and you've visited the "Toybrary" - Liza has your credit card apparently.

Their target audience is teens and young adults. Being a resident thrifter and consignment store connoisseur, my friends recommended I try Uptown Cheapskate located on Burnet Road in Austin, TX. The store is well-organized with placards delineating key sections of the store. Uptown Cheapskate carries vintage clothing, men and women's clothing and a variety of shoes as well as accessories. The store does not appear to be in "junk" mode as the pieces appear clean and presentable. Racks are sorted by type and style. While there was a Versace blouse displayed on the wall, I did not find any other upscale pieces. The brands tended to be more mainstream and not distinctly upscale designers. You can also sell clothes at Uptown Cheapskate. Bring in items that are in good condition and trending, and they will give you cash on the spot or a somewhat more in store credit. This is a great option for clothes sitting in your closet...waiting and waiting...for you to release them. Smile. Prices were reasonable, yet not deeply discounted. However, you could not tell this by the large meandering queue at the cash register. I picked up a couple of items to purchase and was then totally discouraged by the length of the queue, so I put my items back. Definitely will consider returning to Uptown Cheapskate at non-peak hours...
