My microwave oven range hood is not satisfactory and the smoke alarm goes off all the time because I cooked a lot and generated a lot of smoke. I found TX5J Handyman ("Daniel & Crew") on Yelp and contacted them. Danel came over, did a detailed FREE inspection and gave me a competitive quote in 24 hours. I then decided to hire them for the job. They came in at 7:30 A.M. in the morning to beat the summer heat. It requires piping and extension exhaust vent directly to outside top siding. It was not an easy job but they completed the job at 2:45 p.m. I am completely satisfied and happy with Daniel & His Crew. Photo is attached "Before and After". P.S.1 It's beautiful isn't it? Yes, they even did the "white box" enclosure (so you won't see the pipe) between the roof and the under cabinet that holds the HAUSLANE range hood to make it look first class+style. Then gave me a very honest diagnosis for a short term fix and long term fix. I went with the short term for now and they came back the second day to fix it now the drain doesn't leak anymore. Daniel is very fast response to my inquiry over the text; and they did a good job fixing it at a decent price. Highly recommend for others to use them.

We had Ross out on 11/8 and on 12/3 still didn't even have an ETA on when they'd be able to give us a BID on the work-- not "when will it be finished" or "when can you start" but "when can you tell me how much it will cost to hire you to do the work". They couldn't even tell me when they'd be able to tell me! I had to reach out twice just to find out they didn't have a bid ready and didn't even know when they would. The time I spent away from work walking Ross around the property and discussing the work we needed done was completely wasted, and now I have to start over from scratch in finding another repair service. It's doubly frustrating because I wasn't casually fact-finding or price-shopping, I am ready to hire. I would have taken almost any proactive answer, including "sorry, we're too busy for your project(s)". Just really poor customer service.

Absolute Fence & Gate were outstanding to work with: they came in cheaper than all other alternatives, were the most responsive with clear communication, and were very knowledgable about the options within our space. Amanda was extremely responsive and helped us scope out our initial ask to coordinate an onsite bid walk quickly and helped sort out billing. Travis helped develop our initial concept for a gate into an efficient, turn-key solution that would abide by local codes and fit within our budget. After clarifying our scope, the project was completed at a lightning pace. They staggered the required demo of our old fence until the day they'd be able to erect the fencing to minimize the amount of time our house was exposed to the street. The work crews were very professional and Travis and his team clearly explained the scope each day and progress updates. In addition, Cade and the gate operator crew were outstanding. They set up the motor and made sure all items were functional tested. They did a terrific job commissioning the equipment and explaining how to use it. The commissioning team also noted that our gate operator had a minor issue and contacted the manufacturer for a same-day under warranty solution. The level of service was outstanding, and I was very pleased to have a total turnkey solution. During the construction, Travis would check in with the teams and ensure quality work which resulted in zero punch items at final walk. Travis even performed a final QA check on the operator to make sure operation was up to their quality standard. Every team member was very knowledgeable and professional. After talking to a few pest companies, not only did they get the species of ants wrong (acrobat vs carpenter) which affects the bait being used, but they also can't get their story straight. I contacted them about an ant infestation inside my home. The technician who came out placed sugar bait inside to eliminate colony. He told me that an exterior treatment was not necessary at that time. I accepted that recommendation, due to potential exposure for my active dog. Months later, I called to follow up because the ant problem had not been resolved. I was then told the $216.50 treatment of simply adding sugar bait for the interior also included exterior treatment during the original visit. That was surprising because I was never told an exterior treatment had been done. When I asked where it had been applied, they did not give me a clear answer regarding the exterior. Paying for another treatment isn't the issue. If the ants require another visit, I'm happy to pay for it. My concern is that the explanation of what was actually done has changed. Now, they're saying I have to pay another $216 for their services again. Something just isn't adding up. If there's a reasonable explanation, I'd like to hear it. Based on the conflicting information, I have little confidence in their service.

We did not want to do that without knowing what the problem was. Texas electrical connect sent Fernando to our rescue! He figured it out (no holes needed to be cut!) and was super efficient and tidy with his repairs. They communicated between the two of them and set up times independently (based upon our schedule, of course!) for the plumbing to get done and the drywall etc repair to start. Then like clockwork, the one was finished, the other arrived and took over. I cannot stress enough how gentlemanly and considerate these guys are. They covered all surfaces, moved furniture carefully, and lined the walkway between the front door, where they'd set up outside, and the pathway to our dining room where the repair work needed to take place. I'm working from home these days, and even though some of what they had to do was noisy, it was never obtrusive or distracting. They made sure to tent the area to keep debris, dust and noise to a minimum. In fact, they're taking their time to make sure the area is completely dry and secure before putting any finishing touches on the ceiling. AND they custom mixed paint into the popcorn they have to blow on so that it matches as closely as possible to our existing ceiling paint!! His preference is to adopt a "handyman" role, and this suited us perfectly as Brian quickly got to work on some electrical rewiring, he removed an outdated bar counter prior to a quartz counter installation and he re-tiled our backsplash. He also repaired some damaged drywall areas and painted several rooms. He has a fantastic attitude and is a great communicator.
