I've been a PF member over 15 years. I started in Manchester, but that location closed so I…read moreswitched here as it was closest to my house. Been going here since before COVID. This location has degraded over time. Consistently inconsistent. My biggest issue is cleanliness, or lack of. There's 1 person that cleans and he's amazing. But when he's not there no one cleans...if he's away for a month (it happened) no cleaning for a month. He's not there every day and has some medical issues so sometimes he's gone for weeks, and the dust just gathers...in clumps.....on the floors we stretch and workout on. But it gets better! There's 2 types of cleaning stations round yellow bins and rectangular bins both with cleaning solutions. There's more of the rectangular ones but they decommissioned those so now there's only a few cleaning stations throughout the gym. People weren't great before about wiping down machines and benches now they have to walk 1/2 way across the gym which won't happen. Half a dozen machines are out of order (see pics) and 1 pic of dust clumps that will be there still a month from now - trust me. The stretch room with an & leg machines has no A/C so prior summers they put a huge industrial fan in there. Not this year apparently and it's a sauna - where I start my routine. I spoke with the (newer) Manafer recently and he was professional and spoke very nicely to me. Made it clear that the cleaning station change wasn't his call. He addressed another issue I had well also, but the place has turned into a dump. I see more dust here in 1 workout than 10 years in Manchester combined. Overall staff is friendly, but often useless. They stand behind the counter watching people check-in. If you tell them there's no towels you get a weird look - they're too busy to fill the dispensers which number about 1/3 of what they used to have. I love the gym because it's close to my house, price is right and many new and old friends workout here. I wish the Regional Mgr., Corporate, or Franchise Owner (if any care) would visit and see what a dump the place has become. How difficult is it to maintain a clean gym with working machines and HVAC?????

This is written after a 10 week challenge..... From day 1 to…read moreday 50....I always felt welcomed and part of the "family" The Max challenge is more than a physical fitness program. It's about mental towards yourself and working out. The nutrition is part of it as well. The physical fitness work outs... From 5am to last class at 6:30... Each class is 45 minutes long.... Warm, stretch. Jacks... The main course...core and plank! Monday and Wednesday core, Tuesday upper body strength training. Thursdays lower body. And Friday... My favorite KICKBOXING!!! Bonus classes on Saturdays as well. But not every Saturday..... Weights, bands, for kickboxing- bags and gloves.. in purchased my own gloves.... Can't make it in the the centre??? They have live classes via Zoom and recorded classes via online... Instructors.. World class!!! Eachone has their one personality. They truly cares about you. And great sense a humor. Each brings inspirations to make great experience. Mentality part...... I have tried numerous times at your standard gym.. And failed.... And failed... At the Max.. You feel like you are a family... everyone who has their own goals and only competition is between you and yourself. Speaking of family many family members are going.. For myself its my sister and her mother in law goes here.... Also I love the posture quote at the end of class. The old me would make up excuses on not to go into or do at home workouts. The Max has that positive encouragement that keeps me going everyday! Nutrition- along with exercising dieting is also a huge Factor. We get easy to follow diets. And it switches up as program moves along. They also have protein shakes available for sale along with their Max greens!! Price point... Depends on promotions going on. So please call... But it was worth every penny!! I got more out of the 10 weeks than I ever did at the big box gym. Speaking of the community.... Kim the owner at the max..does so much for the local community. Giving back to local. Charities and in the month of October we gave to the Local woman who was battling breast cancer. I was very happy to donate to the burpee challenge!!! Great to have the opportunity to give back to my community. Can't forget the app.... They have app to track progress, workouts, and nutrition. A little bit of a personal experience and how it didn't stop me from working out... I travel so great to take the Max to the hotel, also had shoulder injury and it was great to have the instructors and give me other workouts that didn't include my left shoulder. Bring on 2023!!! I beyond happy that I joined the Max. I say this as joke... But my favorite jack is still Jack Daniels.

Great work lace for all levels. The facility and equipment is cleaned after all classes, and at the end of the morning shift, and again at the end of the evening shift. My traditional gym workout has gotten so boring so I tried the boxing class. I feel comfortable pushing myself, or not doing so, without pressure from the instructors; we all go at our own pace with "encouragement" from the instructor. Clayton is very welcoming, Anthony's class had more boxing tips which was something I want, and even though Amber kicked my behind in her class, I left smiling. The music is perfect (shout out to Anthony with the Bad Bunny) as well. As a healthy man in his 50's, I was nervous (my skinny ass in a BOXING gym??) but I did not need to be. From the minute I walked in I felt comfortable. Super nice people in the classes as well (some very fit, others just doing their best to get a workout). Someday hoping to get real boxing classes but for now the classes are just perfect. A lot of fun, stress reliever, and a GREAT workout.

What a workout! I signed up for a three month unlimited membership and it was worth every moment…read moreand every cent. This boxing gym is phenomenal- with a few machines, a small boxing ring, and a separate area with dozens of punching bags. Although the classes are meant for boxers of all levels (and I count as whatever comes before "beginner"), the instructors are tough and definitely push your limits. So come ready to beat the crap outta that bag! Another plus is the full body workout. Start out stretching, work up to some cardio (like laps around the gym), punch time, and wind down with ab exercises. I'm still a huge wimp but in my freshly renewed membership I'll try to work up to more than one class a week.
