I must admit that in my almost 60 years never Once (really) was a physical accomplishment celebrated and i felt celebrated without being whelmed by it. I had been to a yoga class that used straps against the wall. So I felt this might be something I could do. I have fibromyalgia, so I am limited to things I can do. I signed up for 10 classes, I thought if I can't do the aerial yoga, I could do the regular yoga. Signing up is very easy. You just make an account online and sign up for a class. You can see if a class is full or not. That way the class won't be over crowded. I really enjoyed the class. The teacher is very positive. There were times I didn't do what the class was doing but that was ok. I left early but really felt like I had stretched out my body. The classroom had great a/c. I made the mistake of using the front entrance. Which then i had to walk up stairs to get out of the place. But I emailed the owner and she directed me to the entrance has no stairs. It leads right into the basement. The owner is very quick in replying to emails. Right now you can sign up for a free class. So you don't lose out on anything. This class was by far the best barre class I've ever taken! The instructor, Juliana, was so welcoming, motivating and knowledgeable on proper form and technique. The class was a perfect mix of barre work, mat work, and weighted exercises - the hour class flew by. I feel like this would be a perfect place for barre beginners since it's much less intimidating than the typical vibe at pure barre, but is also an incredible, advanced work out for people who have taken barre previously. I'm so sad I don't live closer to the barre effect. I'll definitely be coming back to this studio any time I'm in the area!

This cozy studio off Farmington Ave. has everything you need for a great workout. This class was my first time doing pilates with the reformer machine, and Mary was sure to explain everything and help us perfect our form. She was so calming and knowledgeable; you can tell she is passionate about her job and her clients. The workout was much more difficult than I thought it would be-in a good way! Of course Mary makes all the moves look so easy, but I could definitely feel it in my legs and thighs the next morning. Even through a short, introductory session, I could see how regularly attending classes like this would help get that toned look. Drop-ins are $35, but there is a 3 for $20 deal going on now. Mary is also Barre certified, so I am looking forward to trying one of those classes, too!
