Wings! We already ate two off of this plate - it comes with 8 DELICIOUS pieces! Half and half plate: peppered lemon and sweet heat.

We recently stumbled upon this High Dive Kitchen and Bar - what a nice surprise!! We've been in twice in two weeks and have found this spot cozy, super friendly, and very delicious!! Great menu with lots of variety! Great drink menu! Everything we've tried has been great!! This spot is definitely worth a stop! (If only the downtown parking situation wasn't such a beast! But High Dive is worth the feat of finding a nearby spot!) I highly recommend the wings - some of the best we've had in town!! We love doing half and half: lemon pepper and sweet heat with the ranch and blue cheese! Their fries are also way good!! Regular or their truffle style!! The bleu berry salad is my favorite entree, paired with the steak it's an absolute slay!!! It will keep me coming back!

We often find ourselves having Tuesday night doldrums. What better way to beat the early week blues than to enjoy dinner and Music Bingo with Dallas? It is a great time and you could be a winner! Starts at 7 and it is hard to leave before the grand prize of $20 gift card in the fourth round! ($5, $10, and $15 prizes beforehand!)

Had a great experience at HighDive Kitchen + Bar! We started with the MegaPretzel and Beer Cheese, which was absolutely delicious--perfectly baked pretzel with rich, creamy cheese that had just the right amount of tang. For mains, two of us ordered the BYOB Smash Burger, which was tasty and cooked just right, while the other two had the Reuben and really enjoyed them. I also had an Espresso Martini, and it was fantastic--smooth, well-balanced, and a great complement to the meal. Our server, Katlyn, was fabulous! We were shocked to learn it was her first day because she was so attentive and friendly. She made our experience even better! Highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

I had an excellent experience when my wife and I dropped in here on the Sunday after Cinco de Mayo. You read that correctly, there is at least one restaurant open in Kalamazoo on a Sunday, so look no further. The service was excellent - we sat at the bar and Courtney was the bartender that helped us. She engaged me in a wonderful conversation about the WWF, yes we reminisced about growing up in the 90s, AND she made great recommendations for food and drink. The food itself was excellent too. They were still serving their Cinco de Mayo specials, so we got queso and pico, a quesadilla and then I went off the Mexican specials and for the caprese sandwich with grilled chicken. The fries were awesome, all of the ingredients were high quality, and I will 100% be coming back to try more stuff. Cool bar, great staff, great food.

First time here and we will be back! Haven't been somewhere in a long time where everything and I mean everything exceeded our expectations! We sat right away. Got served drinks right away. Manhattan was delicious! Took our orders right away! Got our appetizer (can you feel where I'm going here..?) and food promptly. The food was hot, tasted great, filled us up, and was what we wanted! The salmon was cooked perfectly, soaking in a light buttery sauce. Steak had smoked blue cheese crumbles on top and wow! That added a whole new flavor to the med rare steak. The redskjn potatoes- ok I don't know what they did! Almost like roasted, then crispy, then smashed, then a cheesy/garlicy sauce was dribbled on the top!!! I mean come on!! We sat next to the chef station and the fries and smash burgers all were a delight to watch being prepared. Next time we will have to go try those!

The place was spotless and the staff was very attentive even though we were there during a busy lunch. The burger was juicy and cooked to a perfect wellness. I will be back !

We had a nice first time here! I think they're short staffed today, as our waitress seems to be the only one on the floor. We weren't in a rush, so the wait time was fine. We had an Oliver burger - delish - with fries. Our friend had a plain chicken breast (off menu, as they are a finicky eater). It isn't a giant menu, but we all came away happy. The music isn't too loud, the tvs are little, so the sports/poker wasn't in-your-face. Nice place!

So I've been here a few times now but most recently I went for one of their cocktail classes and it…read morewas an awesome experience! As for the place, it's a bar that specializes in higher end cocktails and had some snacks, an amazing outdoor area, and even has a stage for some live music both indoors and out if I'm not mistaken. They obviously do classes as I already mentioned... I purchased the tickets for my mom and I to take together as her birthday present, and it was a really fun time. They had a theme, and taught us how to make three different summer cocktails. You sit at a table with other groups, and the instructor is one of the bar tenders and the guy we had running ours was great. We had fun learning to make the drinks, drinking them and chatting with new people at our table. I would highly recommend the classes but at the very least stop in for a drink!

First things first. I have to address why I was so sad after this visit. I TOTALLY FORGOT they have…read moremini cocktail flights. I was so excited about this option when I saw it on Instagram but there is so little mention of it in the menu (basically an, "ask us about our mini cocktail flight" at the bottom of a page) and no leaflet showing the flight details or price. I'm very much a person that likes to try a little bit for everything so once I remembered it after we left, I had a moment. I got a Gin Fizz and the bf got a Blueberry Vanilla Mule. The gin Fizz tasted very much like lemonade, even with the addition of cran flavoring. The Blueverry Vanilla Mule was very strongly clove. If you like clove, you'd likely like that one. We decided against getting second cocktails since happy hour had ended, but got a flight to try their stuff. We like the liqueurs but they are hard to sip straight due to all the flavor they pack. Our favorite was the Pink Peppercorn Gin out of everything we tried. We would definitely come back, but please print out the cocktail flight list or at least suggest it if people are hemming and hawing over what to get like I was.

600 is such a cute place for a lovely meal!…read more We have been multiple times but stopped in on a recent sunny afternoon for some lunch. 600 is so light and airy, we really love the atmosphere!! We had a really great waitress, I wish I would have gotten her name! She was doing the job of hostess and waitress to multiple tables, and doing it all very well! We ordered a chicken sandwich and a salad for our lunch entrees! Both were very good and presented very well! While the food is good and quality feels high - the price is also on the high side. For a sandwich and a salad, waters to drink, we spent over $50 for our lunch! Just something to be aware of! While we had time - the experience was not fast. Something to be aware of if needing a quick lunch. The restaurant was not overly busy but the wait was a little long to receive our order. I ordered a salmon salad - the menu nor the website specify if the salmon is wild caught or farmed. I would really love to know this information - the price would be much better reflected if it were indeed wild caught. :)

Everyone was using their hands to pick up meats and cheese as and jam and fruit! The food was very good and the portion was really large. I am a big eater and this was much. The price was reasonable. The stairs make it difficult for people that need assistance. There is a bathroom upstairs. We had one waiter -the same one- that took the drink orders then took the food orders and took care of the payments! He had bussing help but he was inexperienced and unavailable for guest assistance. The service was horrible! It took one hour to get a cup of coffee. Orders took a long time to arrive another 40 min after coffee. Our check took another 40 min to be produced! After all that a 23% tip was automatically applied!! Wow! Too much under the circumstances. The place is nice with a nice atmosphere and clean. The bathrooms are clean although it ran out of paper. We may try it again but with a different waiter. One more thing... burritos should not be served with toast. Fries or hash browns are a better choice.

I love the idea of KZoo…read moretapping into its very own modern day speakeasy, but I don't feel like the Gatsby fulfills all of its potential for me to buy into the speak easy part of it. Here's what I felt missed the bar... First, a speakeasy's initial location of "secrecy"... I don't think the top floor of Monaco Bay is that difficult to find. In fact, there is a giant "Gatsby" sign lit up outside. Even if it is modern, perhaps an unmarked door at the entrance could enhance the overall feel. Second, the expectation of innovative cocktails that take you back to an era. The specials were the same as Monaco and the bartender didn't know what the night's special actually was... There's a lot of potential here to boast old custom cocktails from scratch- with a modern twist. Third, the atmosphere. The exposed brick, dark woods, and lavish style add to the tone. Would be really great if there were candles on tables instead of incredibly bright lights drilled into the floor. I did enjoy the unique lights hanging above the bar though. The decor played into vintage modern, but it's lacking some authenticity. Also, the DJ seemed to just play popular culture. Would have loved to hear some swing or jazz remixes instead.

The business regularly advertises a Free Bowling Wednesday event that takes place every Wednesday…read moreand encourages people to come starting at 4 PM. We arrived exactly at 4 PM after seeing this weekly promotion on social media. Upon arrival, the venue was empty, yet we were completely denied access to bowling due to a private event, and told that no bowling customers would be allowed until 6 PM. Before anything else, I want to clarify an important point: "Free" does not mean customers should be treated poorly. Free events are often meant to introduce people to a business, attract new customers, and create a welcoming first impression. Offering something for free does not justify rude behavior, dismissive communication, or shifting responsibility onto customers. Respect and basic courtesy should apply regardless of whether an event is paid or free. What bothered me most was not being turned away, but the blame-shifting that followed. When a business publicly advertises "Free Bowling Wednesdays" and encourages people to show up at 4 PM, it is reasonable for customers to rely on that information. Adding the word "limited" on social media posts does not communicate that no bowling customers are allowed at all until 6 PM due to a private event. Those are two very different messages. Instead of acknowledging the lack of clear communication, the responsibility was shifted onto us as customers with statements like "you should have called." This is unfair. Customers should not be expected to double-check an advertised public event by phone when no such instruction was mentioned. What made the experience more disappointing was the lack of empathy no apology, no ownership of the confusion, and no attempt to acknowledge how frustrating it is to arrive on time to an empty venue and still be denied entry. This review is not about complaining. It's about accountability. Clear communication and basic courtesy go a long way, and this situation could have been handled very differently with a simple acknowledgment and apology.

Had they informed me that a shorter bowl would result in me getting in sooner, I would've selected a shorter timespan. Either way, I decided to give them a chance, selected a seltzer (the cheapest at around .35 cents/ounce) and my drink came out to $10! It left me confused. Then proceed to go drink and watch the bowlers and there were 3 open lanes out of 4. For 20+ minutes, not a single group came in to bowl. As I was watching, it became increasingly clear that the host at the entrance wasn't trained to ensure everyone gets a chance, or for clear communication. Only positive? My drink was good, the few customers in there seemed to enjoy themselves. Just don't come to bowl, you wont get in. Look at the previous reviews, I am not the first to complain about this. Also, it looks like whomever is supposed to be checking these reviews doesn't care as there seem to be no responses to rectify these issues.
