Dinned here a couple time while at a conference at the JW Marriott Indianapolis. You can make lunch and dinner reservations via OpenTable and would recommend. The restaurant gets conference traffice from the JW and the Convention Center, as well as locals and hotel guests. Food was good. I will say one lunch shocked me, it was $42 for a salad w/grilled chicken, and a mineral water. I had the chopped cob and recommend the grilled chicken to be added, not the fried. I tried them both on two different occasions and the grilled complemented the salad much better. I wanted something light both these times so for the price could have gone with a burger or another option and I may have been happier. Service was good. Food was good. Price - i would compare it to airport restaurant pricing.

Lemon Drop

Went downtown early before an event with the very responsible plan of one drink... maybe two. Landed at High Velocity at the JW Marriott. It was a bit busy, but I managed to pop a squat at the bar like a champ! The bartender was super friendly (kicking myself for not catching her name). I started with a lemon drop and WOW... 10/10, perfectly tart, perfectly dangerous. Naturally, I trusted her with a second drink that wasn't pictured because I got too excited and forgot to take one. It was her specialty and tasted like a gummy bear in the best way possible. Sweet, smooth, and gone way too fast. Great vibes, great drinks, and even better service! High Velocity definitely understood the assignment. Would absolutely come back, next time I'll try to remember to take pictures before the drinks disappear!

Very nice experience here. We stopped in for drinks and a snack so we could watch the Colts away game. Our server was very friendly and pleasant, also very helpful with suggestions. This was a very nice place to watch the game. Multiple tvs were tuned to the Colts game. It's a great atmosphere. I would definitely make this my first choice to enjoy food and drinks while enjoying a game.

Nachos

My husband had a convention to attend this week so we went to High Velocity for lunch. We went because it's so convenient to walk across the sky bridge and not have to go outside on a cold day. We arrived right at noon and were seated immediately. We decided to get an appetizer and an entrée and just split it. We ordered the nachos ($23) with the sour cream, guacamole and jalapeños on the side. They looked great when they arrived, but once you pulled off the first layer of cheese all of the chips were broken, and it was just tiny pieces of chip that you can't even pick up. The chili was so greasy that there was just grease all in the bottom of the plate and made all of the chips soggy. We didn't not eat much of them. For our entrée, we ordered the fish and chips ($23) The fish was listed as cod. The fish was very watery like it had been frozen. We didn't not like it. The outside was soggy on the bottom. Our waitress came by and checked on us after we were done eating and we told her about the nachos and that we didn't like the fish either. She apologized and we told her it wasn't her fault she didn't cook the meal. She brought us our $50 bill. We paid it and left. It would've been nice if she would've asked us if everything was OK while we were eating our appetizer and we probably would've gotten wings or something different to try because the nachos were not edible. We went to Harry & Izzy's for lunch the other day and our meal was also $50 and it was amazing. We should had went back there. Don't waste your money at High Velocity just because it was convenient to get there!

Sometimes when you're traveling, you just need a comfy sandwich and some delicious fries to keep it easy. I was so happy - my order from High Velocity hit the mark!! I ordered over the phone and picked up downstairs. I was greeted by 2 very sweet women and my food was promptly ready. Thank you!

Food: 5/10 Service: 6/10 Ambiance: 6/10 Food is hit or miss here. Appreciate that it's at the hotel but not consistent with their food or service. Sometimes it can be the best food you've tried, and other times the food is undercooked.

This trip was after a Pacer game, but we've had it all here. It always impresses, no matter if you're going high end entree or snacks pre/post game. Great drink menu too. Obviously pricey, but the quality matches it and hey look at the hotel you're in, you knew it was going to be costly.

Conveniently located in the hotel. Food was ok but service was good. The ambience is more of a sports bar.

I'll keep it simple. The food is terrible. How hard do you have to try to mess up a chicken quesadilla?

Ask the Community - High Velocity

I'll be staying at the hotel for my wedding and am looking into rehearsal dinner options. What sort of prices can I expect there for dinner options and room rental?

Hi Jan, rates vary for the room rentals, so calling the JW Marriott will be the best bet to get the most accurate pricing.…

We complimented it, asked where they found it, and before we knew it, we were chatting with a wonderful couple who had traveled all the way from overseas just to watch Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever play that night. Moments like that are one of the reasons I love Indianapolis on game days. The patio was the perfect place to soak it all in. Fever fans filled the sidewalks, kids proudly carried homemade signs, and there was an excitement in the air that only comes from a city rallying behind its team. We could have people-watched for hours. Our waitress was exactly what every server should strive to be. Friendly, relaxed, and genuinely fun to talk to, she somehow mastered the art of appearing right before we found ourselves looking around for her. We never felt rushed, but we also never waited for anything. The food held up its end of the bargain too. The fried mozzarella disappeared embarrassingly fast and earned a solid 9.3 on my unofficial stretch meter. Crispy on the outside, perfectly gooey inside, with a marinara sauce that was every bit as good as the cheese itself. The chef salad was fresh, generously loaded with toppings, and easily big enough for a meal. I honestly couldn't tell you what beer I ordered... Because what I remember most is the experience. Sharing appetizers on a sunny patio, meeting fellow basketball fans from halfway around the world, and watching Indianapolis come alive before tipoff. It reminded me that sports have a funny way of turning complete strangers into friends. We'll absolutely be back the next time we're headed to Gainbridge.

I understand that restaurants change menus. Items come and go, new things get added, and sometimes decisions have to be made behind the scenes. But the cheese breadsticks are not just another random menu item. They are a Kilroy's staple. They are one of those foods that I immediately associate with Kilroy's, and removing them feels like getting rid of part of what makes Kilroy's, Kilroy's. And yes, I know you still have the stuffed breadsticks. I know people love the pepperoni breadsticks. But not everyone wants or can eat meat. The cheese breadsticks were the perfect option because they gave you everything that makes the breadsticks so ridiculously good without requiring a meat filling. They were simple, cheesy, warm, comforting, and genuinely one of the best things on the menu. Also, the CHEESE. I don't know what exactly you were doing differently with those breadsticks, but the cheese inside of them was so good. There was something about the combination of the dough, the cheese, and dipping them in sauce that made them perfect. Replacing that with only meat-filled options is just not the same thing. I have a hard time believing I am the only person disappointed by this. The cheese breadsticks appealed to vegetarians, people who don't eat pork or pepperoni, people who simply weren't in the mood for meat, and people like me who just genuinely thought the cheese version was superior. It also seems like such a strange item to remove because breadsticks are part of Kilroy's identity. There are certain foods you expect when you go to certain places, and Kilroy's breadsticks are absolutely one of those things. When something becomes that closely associated with a restaurant, taking away one of the classic versions feels like a much bigger menu change than simply discontinuing an appetizer. I am genuinely so disappointed. There are plenty of menu items I could see disappearing and think, "Well, that's unfortunate," and move on with my life. This is not one of them. I am apparently passionate enough about these cheese breadsticks that I am sitting here writing an entire email about them, which should tell you how serious the situation has become. So I am respectfully begging whoever has the power to make this decision: PLEASE bring back the cheese breadsticks. Put them back on the permanent menu. Make them a limited-time item. Charge me an extra dollar. Make me sign a petition. I am willing to negotiate. I just cannot accept that we are living in a world where I can walk into Kilroy's and not order cheese breadsticks. Some things should not be messed with, and the Kilroy's cheese breadsticks are one of them. Please reconsider this decision. Your cheese-breadstick-loving customers are counting on you. Sincerely, A very disappointed and very hungry Kilroy's customer

Turns out the entire heated patio is first come, first served, and we were seated almost immediately. It was one of those windy Indiana afternoons where the cold finds every gap in your jacket. I fully expected to spend lunch shivering. Somehow, the heated patio felt warmer than the restaurant itself. Between the TVs, football on every screen, and the patio heaters, we had zero complaints. Now let's talk about the famous pepperoni-stuffed breadsticks. They're a must. And order your own nacho cheese. Seriously. Don't expect anyone to share. I could eat a shoe dipped in their cheese and probably enjoy every bite. The breadsticks always arrive piping hot, stuffed with gooey mozzarella, and if we're judging on a cheese-pull scale...I'm giving them a solid 7/10 on the stretch meter. As for our server, Zach...what a true gem. He's one of those people I'd honestly be surprised to hear anyone say they didn't like. Funny, quick with the jokes, and somehow kept up with the chaos without missing a beat. He also made sure my lemon drop martinis never had a chance to get lonely. Since I wasn't driving, he happily assisted me in...staying hydrated. The place was busy enough that we couldn't stand around chatting long, but he's the kind of person you'd genuinely enjoy running into again. We've been here twice now, and both visits have been consistently great. Whether you're stopping in to catch the game, escape the cold on the heated patio, or simply satisfy a craving for those ridiculously good breadsticks, Ale Emporium continues to be one of our favorite spots.
