I had a tech from my regular HVAC visit and he told me a couple of things were wrong with my air conditioning unit. As I have a home warranty I contacted them and they dispatched High-Tech to address the issues that the previous tech had told me to deal with. Sevak arrived on time and was friendly and professional. He added coolant to my system and double checked the problems the first tech had diagnosed. The problem was the coolant was low, and not the issue that the first tech thought. Why the first tech did not figure this out is beyond the scope of my understanding. Thanks After being referred to High Tech by my warranty as a top notch reliable service, I couldn't have been more wrong to go with them. I had a leaking condensation pump which was flooding my unit and preventing me from using the AC in late June. After several fixes from High Tech, including one from their "senior technician", not only was the flooding still happening with the AC on, but my thermostat had no power after a day. I tried to give High Tech the benefit of the doubt by troubleshooting the 2nd problem on my own for half a day. But after a Google Nest support call, they confirmed my suspicions that most likely something went wrong during the High Tech visits. After multiple unanswered calls throughout the day, High Tech's front office and technicians finally responded and said that they did nothing wrong. "If there's any issue, it's actually a plumbing clogged pipe problem." So, fed up with their nonsense, I called a local independent technician and guess what? It wasn't a plumbing issue. Not only does he fix it. He also said that the previous technician wired the new condensation pump with the wrong voltage, causing my flooding problem (unable to pump water out) to return AND take the power away from my thermostat. He even laughed at High Tech trying to get me to call a plumber. So after giving him a big thank you for finally resolving my issue in an hour, as opposed to the week long nonsense I had to put up with High Tech, I felt compelled to write this review (which I normally don't do). In short, these guys don't know how to fix more complicated problems, will ignore repeated requests for help until pressed, and refer you to other fields like plumbing because they're too lazy and prideful to look deeper into the issue. I found this company very dishonest. My home warranty provider referred them to find out why my A/C was not cooling properly. High Tech HVAC service provider shows up and says "I need to have the cooling grates cleaned and they charge $199 to do it" (Uptick in costs). I just had the grates cleaned and I said no. He didn't look at anything else and left. On my own I had another company take a look at my A/C, and they found holes in my air ducts. So I called my warranty people and they said I need to have High Tech do the job since they were my service provider. When I called High Tech they said they don't do duct work, even though it says they do on their website. When my warranty people spoke to them they said "I refused to have their service provider do the job". This company is unprofessional and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

I'm pretty frustrated with this service provider. I requested a service call 6 days ago with my home warranty company. I called High Tech several times, only to get a recording. I left messages twice and they did not return my calls. After 6 days, I finally got someone to answer my phone call and they refused the job because I'm out of town and can't be there to let them in. I have a lockbox in a gated community. I can appreciate they have their requirements, but after waiting six days with no air and tenants moving in soon, I'm left scrambling to find another company. I am very happy with this company. Our heater and air suddenly stopped working and Greg came out to fix. He was very courteous and professional. He didn't have the part and searched for it locally at 8 stores. He was able to come back the next day and install as he found the part. He had calls ahead of me the next day and assured me that he would come back. He did! He communicated with me throughout the day so I knew he was coming. He fixed it and let me know that my furnace was very dusty. I have had major construction work going on, so I wanted it cleaned. I also had just relocated my AC unit and I had him clean that too. My unit is blowing better than ever. Beyond grateful to Greg. It was in the evening when he finished and he was still so kind. Unprofessional, rude, and predatory. Lancaster, California. Greg had come to my home twice. The first time (Early Nov) he had diagnosed that the motor was burnt out. He had also pushed for me to allow him to clean my coils. I had rejected his offer of coil cleaning (for $250) and he had an attitude with me. I told him that I can do it myself and he said that there is a special chemical that they use to clean it. You can pick up coil cleaner from Lowes for $8. This time (Late Nov), he had come to my home wearing sweatpants to replace the motor. He replaced the motor and it didn't run. He facetimed a coworker to explain the situation. After he hung up, he was able to get the motor running. Something was wrong as the A/C unit as the fins read 90+ degrees on a 60 degree day. Turns out he flipped the wires and the fan was running the wrong way. He fixed his error and the motor once again, stopped working. He once again facetimed his coworker. He replaced the capacitors and nothing happened, so again he facetimed his coworker. This time he replaced the contactor and the fan worked. Again, he told me that it was REQUIRED to clean the coils, otherwise the whole system would break. He even threatened that he was going to report that the coils were dirty to insurance and that insurance may not cover any of the work he had done. Again, I told him I was not interested. And again, he facetimed his coworker. I told him if he was going to report "dirty coils" to the insurance company, that he better take pictures. You can see that the heat fins are cleared up and there is no debris that would reduce the heat transfer between the coils and fins. They wrote on the receipt that the cause of the burnt out motor was directly caused by "dirty coils". I explained to him that the run capacitor had failed and the A/C unit had run too long without the motor spinning. This led to the A/C unit heating up and burning out the motor. Thus, the motor had burnt out due to the bad run capacitor. I had also explained that there's no point in cleaning the coils now as it's the end of November and I won't need to use the A/C until May. He said "are you an HVAC technician?". That was extremely disrespectful, as I was only trying to explain the situation. But as it turns out, I am a manufacturing engineer with that works daily on aircraft environmental control systems. Also, between the first and second visit, I had cleaned the coils. Sprayed the fins with a hose, sprayed coil cleaner, let it sit for 15 minutes, then sprayed it with a hose again. When he went to try and clean my coils he had a can of coil cleaner and a hand pump for water. So not only is he full of it, as the coils were cleaned two weeks prior, but he also had lower quality equipment than what I was working with. I cannot recommend against High Tech HVAC Inc enough. They were assigned to me by my home insurance. If you are in the Lancaster/Palmdale area, I would highly recommend Rene Mejia at BETTER AIR SOLUTIONS. read more

THEY BROKE MY A/C UNIT!! I woke up the following morning after they "serviced" my air conditioner only to find that my A/C was no longer heating (Heat Pump). I go outside to my condenser to see if it's working and it wasn't. I looked down at the fill ports where they check the pressures and it was saturated with oil. I looked on top of the fill port that was saturated and noticed they loosened the cap on top of the fill port and it leaked out all my freon. these assholes had NO BUSINESS loosening this cap. it had NOTHING to do with servicing my AC unit. A technician from another company told us that the AC unit is outdated so it is what it is (even though my townhouse was built in 2017). I was glad that we later found High Tech HVAC. Sammy and his team were very professional and identified the issue. They fixed our AC problem and made sure the heating and cooling work for each vent in our house. Since we have a baby in the house, he was able to accommodate us by coming at our suggested time and working quietly to not disturb the baby. This company was assigned to us by our home warranty company, Choice Home Mortgage. The person who arrived was polite enough, however, there was a lot left to be desired. Most importantly is that they did not resolve our issue. The fan blades on our A/C unit stopped turning although we could hear our motor trying. He came and replaced the capacitor which got the blades spinning but they were delayed and the motor still sounded strained. He disagreed and said the issue was fixed. A few days later, they stopped spinning again and we were left without A/C during a Southern California heatwave. I got the warranty company to agree they needed to come back to properly complete the repair. For reasons I'm still bewildered by, I tried 3x to get an appointment with them but was never able to. The lady who picked up kept telling me she needed to speak with the technician and that he's very busy. I reminded her I just needed to get them scheduled ASAP but she insisted she needed to speak with him first. I'm not sure why but I assume to get his approval? She said she'd call me back in a few minutes but over an hour later I had to keep calling. After the third attempt to get scheduled, I decided I don't want to work with them or have them in my home again so I called the warranty company. They agreed to assign a different company. Besides this part of the experience, other things to note are that the person who came could not communicate with me. To the point where I had to call the warranty company to help me figure out what's going on. What was going on is that he had said he completed "maintenance" on top of the repair and was trying to up-charge us for that. He did not complete any type of added maintenance. I was with him the entire time. Also, he said in the paperwork he added Freon. After he left I looked up how to add Freon and I can confirm, he did not add any Freon. I'm sure he charged my warranty company for it though. To note are that they do not have labeled work trucks, no uniforms and no website.
