I decided to check this place out because of the yelp reviews and I am extremely happy with the results. I bought a groupon for partial highlights, haircut, deep conditioner and blowout. Upon arrival, Solena helped me choosing my color and explained that I will have to pay extra fees for coloring my hair first and for toning it after the highlights. I am never satisfied with my hair after getting highlights because my hair is very dark, but Solena took her time and work some magic in my hair. I found this salon via a Groupon deal that I purchased. I got a cut, style, blow dry and full highlights done by Tanya. She was AWESOME!! The staff are so accomodating and friendly (not to mention comical as well)! I needed something fresh and new with my hair since summer is coming, and Tanya gave me exactly what I was hoping for. I bought a a Groupon deal for a cut, style, blow dry and partial highlights. First I got there at 11:50 and my appointment was at 12. I told the guy my name and he said to wait. Then, by 12:30 I asked him again if the had talk to the hairdresser, he called her and he forgot to tell her I was there. I had a party that day so I waited till 1pm to start having my hair done. I showed her a picture what I wanted, bangs and partial highlights. She did the highlights on my bangs, a lot in the front so when she cut it, it looked terrible - blond hair in the front and nothing in the back. I was so frustrated! They also charged me plus $60 because my hair was long. Such a BS. Never going back there again. Dirty and not organized place. read more

I'm a little disappointed and should have read the reviews before coming in. I brought a groupon for balayage. I made the appointment and told them ahead of time that I had purchased the groupon. When I came in I was charged an extra $40 for length and $40 for toner. Now seeing multiple reviews where people were charged $20-60 extra for the same thing but I was charged an extra $80! read more

I went for a balayage and am extremely disappointed with the service. I came in with a groupon with apparently had a 275 dollar value and I was asked to pay an additional 65 and my hair doesn't reflect that at 350 value. When I walked in, I showed the hair dresser what I wanted and she said that it's no problem and assured me that she has experience doing balayage. I've never in my life been so unsatisfied and embarrassed of my hair as I am now- someone literally asked me what happened to my hair the next day morning. Additionally, I was there for over 6 hours (after I asked the stylist to correct my hair because I couldn't leave the salon the way it looked). Even as I was leaving she said that it will look better once the due starts wearing off - in my experience of getting my hair professionally done for the last 8 years I have never left a salon where the stylists tells me that it will look better, being well aware of how bad it looked and how unhappy I was. It's completely unacceptable. Even when I took a closer look as I got home there were blotched spots on my hair. If I'm paying for a service I expect professionalism and competent stylists which is not what I got. Never before have I come across such a terrible "professional balayage". I called the next day to have it corrected and the manager did say that she would take a look at it however they were not trying to be accommodating to my schedule and availability and I had to go to a different salon. read more

I am beyond happy. I went to Mila with orangey hair and a messed up haircut. I had gotten balayage a few week ago and the girl completely messed it up (I'm originally a brunette). Mila looked at the pictures on my phone of what I wanted to get done and confirmed what I wanted. She did exactly what I WANTED AND MORE! She gave me the perfect balayage/ombré, whatever it is. The top is dark as I wanted and the bottom is the most gorgeous blonde. But she made it blend so nicely.. Ugh it's beautiful. She took her time, kept checking on the highlights, etc. It was such a big job that she did perfectly. We were both smiling at the results. I went to work right after and have gotten so many compliments already. Also-- the haircut she did was awesome. She just knows what she's doing. She was so proud of her work that she got chills.. I had a groupon for full highlights with Ljupka and I can honestly say it is the happiest I've ever been with my highlights. Ljupka helped me decide on a style to go with, and even made suggestions as to what would suit my skin color. The finished product was fabulous, and my hair isn't damaged at all! First I bought a deal for my sister and she went to get her hair cut and highlighted. It turned out Amazing! She had Mila and her hair looked great! After I couldn't resist so I bought a deal as well. I went in there not caring about who I got and it turned out that Mila was going to cut and dye my hair. I was really happy and since I got it cut and dyed everyone has complimented the cut/color. I was really please at the way she mixes the dyes to get a color that works well with my skin tone. I use to love this place, I was a little taken back because when I purchased the Groupon I got a Groupon for a full head of highlights, but when I got there I was charged 60$ more and my hairstylist said she was only going to do partial highlights because she didn't want to damage anymore hair, which I was fine with because she was the experience hair dresser, she then charged me for a 40$ for a toner and another 20$ for a glaze, which I shouldn't have been since I paid for FULL HIGHLIGHTS and only got partial so I believe I should have covered the toner and glaze since I did pay for the higher service. But against my better judgment I kept going back because I believed my hair looked great, my roots come in dark and my toner was a dark brown so my hair always looked nice. Finally last month we decided to go more blonde, now I was a full blonde at one point so I was expecting to look someone like that. NOT THE CASE, i got a light toner on my rooms and got more highlights I paid 200$ plus a nice tip! and my hair was ORANGE. I was leaving on vacation the next day when I got out the salon it looked nice the next day (mind you when I am in a different county) I take a look at my hair and it's orange ! (I didn't go into the pool yet so it wasn't the water) I text my hair dresser right away and told her she wanted a picture but unfortunately I already went into the shower to wet it and I have curly hair, so the color looked different because wet hair is darker! I was so embarrassed I left my hair curly the whole trip, two weeks after my trip I then straighten my hair so you can finally see the color. My roots already started growing in, I send her a video and she said she can't do anything about it! It's already been a week (which she knew I was on vacation, so there was no way I would have made it within the week) she offer me a really low price to fix it but I refuse because I already paid for services and wasn't happy which I told her the very next day. She then explained to me that the glaze and toner is washing out that's why the color is changing. I'm no hairstylist but just because a toner fades your hair shouldn't be orange. Horrible service and experience. I loved her and always recommend them even when I had my doubts. Also the first time I went there she was booked up my appointment was at 10am I left that place at 3pm! So sad. I went back to dark hair because I'm afraid to trust anyone with blonde again and when I went to the new place the hairdresser said "I see what you are saying your hair is reallllllly Golden" please avoid this place. read more

I am a big fan of Dana the stylist, she is very, very talented with a keen eye for color & shape. Too many stylists don't seem to know how the heck to cut wavy hair or how to ADD more color to a head without obliterating the OLD color but DANA KNOWS and listens to me every time and that is PRICELESS. Also they're lucky she seems to be running the whole operation because it had gotten overbooked or something, but she made sure every customer got what she wanted. That's a gift ~ not everyone can combine stylist talent AND business sense. THANK YOU, D !!!! Next time we'll go even crazier with the color. read more

If I could give no stars I would, I made my appointment a month ahead of time, the original hairdresser I made my appointment with went on leave, I was then placed with another hairdresser, which then received a call that she no longer working there, I was then placed her with another hairstylist, ok no problem, my appointment was for 10:45 I get there and there is the one hairstylist with a customer in her chair and I'm wondering the hairstylist who is going to do my hair is most likely in the back, since the receptionist stated the hairstylist would be with me in a minute. Well with that said 20 minutes later no hairstylist and the only one there stated she would be with me in a few minutes, yet she never acknowledged me when I walked in, while sitting there I hear the hairstylist say to a vendor that is in the shop, that she was behind due to the customer in her chair was scheduled for a touch up and when she arrived she had to do the total head and that she still had me to do. Now it's 11:20 and still it attended, I called another salon and left. This salon was very unprofessional and did not like the atmosphere, I would definitely not be returning and will be telling al my friends not to go to this place. read more

Very creative stylist, especially with color. Both Tania and Joe(owner) were very friendly, warm, and funny! I used a groupon- If you use a groupon it most likely will cost you extra for additional charges , so be prepared to spend more...Although there is not a parking lot, you can park across the way on the residental side street . I'd rather walk a few more steps then be paranoid about getting a ticket from an overdue parking meter! Mila is the best hair stylist I have ever worked with. I have extremely thick, curly/wavy hair and so many stylists have butchered my hair over the years. Mila knows what she's doing though. Every time I see Mila I ask her "what do you think we should do?" I leave it up to her and she never disappoints! Layers that don't give me an afro, a face frame that flatters my face and most recently a strawberry blonde ombré in my dark brown hair (I'd never dyed my hair before!). I had my hair done by Nadine last Saturday at High Street Cuts. My stylist was very friendly and her confidence suggested that I would be very happy with my end results. Unfortunately this was not the case, please see photos attached. After my blowout I looked at my hair in the mirror and saw highlights, it was not what I specifically imagined but I was not unhappy with it. I immediately left the salon after my blowout. After I arrived home I examine my final hair results closer. I asked for caramel balayage, and I was told that during the coloring process my hair was being teased to prevent a harsh/blunt line between my natural hair color and the dye. The whole point of balayage is to have BLENDED highlights, my balayage is not blended in so many areas. I don't believe there is anything I can do to fix this. If you are reading my post and have a solution, please don't hesitate to contact me. I have not called the salon because I am not one for confrontation. I spent countless hours looking up stylist, and I was very impressed by Nadine's work via social media posts/reviews. That is why I simply cannot understand why my final hair results look like this. FYI I paid $89 for the balayage Groupon + $80 for my toner/hair length + $40 tip = $209. The price is not the problem at all. I believe that you get what you pay for. I am so disappointed with my final hair results. I'm giving it two stars because Nadine was very sweet but my appointment with her did not meet my expectations at all! read more

Second time I was at this salon, Once with my daughter, and this past Friday for myself. I watch the 2 girls that are sisters, Their work is excellent! The men seem very happy with the gentleman that cut hair, also. Based on the outcome of my hair I would give this place a 4. I made an appointment based on a groupon I purchased for $55 (included a cut, blowout and full highlights). The parking in the area is terrible. There is only 1 or 2 hour parking on all the streets. I showed a picture of what I wanted for highlights and she said okay. Continuing to do the highlights, which came out beautiful, kept adding to my bill. Totally coming out to $75 extra for a glaze and color. Totally BS. The workers eat lunch on top of the carts with hair supplies. The hair dresser in the back was very obnoxiously loud. She was cursing and talking about people with her client very loudly. Let me start my saying I am EXTEREMELY picky with my hair. ive been going to the same alone my whole life, and once she closed I started doing research on a new salon. After a lot of searching, and reading reviews I came across this place on Groupon. You can imagine how nervous I was, especially having long blonde hair. I got full highlights, a cut, and blown out by Ljupka. I got low lights as well so there was an extra charge for that, and an extra charge for my long hair (which is noted in the groupon fine print). I have never been more satisfied with my hair before. I trusted what Ljupka wanted to do because through the whole process I could tell she knew what she was doing and I was in good hands. She knew from the moment I walked in what to do with my hair, and that right there, is a great hair stylist. I felt beautiful after!
