The service made this experience memorable. The gentleman working asked me if it was my first time. He made some recommendations. They were out of corned beef for the #3 The Eiffel Tower so he substituted bacon for me instead. I liked that the buns are smooshed flat, the meat and cheese heated and melted, and then the additional toppings diced up into smaller pieces. I had about a 20 minute drive that could have made the difference, but once I started eating the sandwich it was good but aa bit chewy. It might have been less chewy if I would have ate it right away. I also ordered the specialty croissant. The staff person asked me if I was okay with the price, it was $8. I appreciated he let me know the price and made sure I still wanted it as it was a bit pricey. The croissant was amazing! This was also a food that was better ate day of. I had it the next morning for breakfast and although it was delicious you could tell it was getting stale already. It was beautifully made. First time my wife and daughter stopped before our daughter headed overseas for two years in the Peace Corps. Scotty''s is super close and convenient to the airport. It was my turn, dining alone but nothing about a table for one at Scotty's is lonely. The staff are immediately welcoming and every customer is every employee's charge. Four different people helped me or just checked in. The Gina breakfast combos have lots to offer for breakfast. But I was thrilled this 9:30 am to be assured the whole menu was available. I was looking for something less common and was excited to see potato latkes with sour cream and apple sauce as an option. That would have been great but then the waitress (Salome maybe) said, "Do you like corned beef?" The Schmoozer is 3 enormous latkes with thinly shaved and lightly grilled corn beef on top with an over easy egg atop that. Seriously, I can declare victory for finding something I'd never had before. Never would have found it without the nudge. Had to cut myself off with all the coffee offers. Just a great vibe. You rarely see a 4.9 rating and even more rarely that high based on so many reviews. But I understand why - like in so many things in life, it is about the people. And the joy they bring to every conversation. And I will just add, in this age when some would divide us, this dining room is filled with all manner of folks, reveling together over food in fellowship.

It took about 15 minutes to get the bagel and I'm watching multiple people who ordered after me with multiple items get their food and leave while I ordered a single bagel. I eventually got annoyed and went up there and asked him what happened to my order and I guess they misplaced it or something I don't know, but eventually, my food came out I hope because it took so long it would actually be toasted to Golden, but I actually had to take the cream cheese off and see if they toasted it at all. It definitely wasn't toasted golden and again definitely not extra cream cheese. I don't feel like the order is ever that difficult but clearly they do what they want and you're just supposed to accept it. We stopped by Katzinger's in Dublin, a very family-friendly suburb, on a Sunday morning at 9 am and picked up the Katzinger's Reuben in deli size. We brought the sandwich as lunch for our visit to the COSI: Center of Science and Industry because they are brown-bag friendly. The sandwich sat in our insulated cooler bag for about three hours before we go to it and it held up really well. The meat was tender but the bread lacked a caraway tang. The diner has a complimentary, all-you-can-eat, self-serve pickle barrel. Realistically, you only need one or none at because it was overly salty.
