I left a review after our first session with Ethan but wanted to give an update. We chose a 6…read moresession package and couldn't be happier. We initially contacted Ethan because of food aggression with our dogs. Not only have they not had any issues with aggression since our first session, they are better mannered overall. In addition to the food issue we worked on dog relaxation, leash manners, sit, down, stay, come, leave it and go find it. Ethan showed us several games to play with our dogs. My fiance and I are enjoying time with our fur babies now!! There is no more yelling and frustration. We can have them calm down and reward them with treats and praise. One of the last things we worked on was manners related to opening the door. Our lab and weimaraner are easily excited, and at about 75 pounds each can be a handful. Although we didn't have time to perfect the behavior before our last session was up Ethan gave us the tools to keep working on it. He was always professional and easy to reach. Unfortunately I had to reschedule on him twice and he was always nice about it. Our schedules can be hard to work with but Ethan was able to fit us in each week. We will definitely be joining a group class at some point. My fiance and I both feel like it was such a positive experience and increased our enjoyment of life with our creatures. We have a 170lb 2 yr old rescue English Mastiff that acts like a giant puppy. He gets super excited…read moreto meet every new person or pet he sees. This overstimulation made it almost impossible to control, and we had to pick very odd times to walk him to be able to avoid seeing anyone. We have worked with Dan for a month now and the change is amazing! He used to run over dogs in his excitement, and often bump into people as well. He now walks well on a leash, we can see when he starts to get excited and actually stop and redirect him. We can call him, and even have a dog run perpendicular across his oath, and he still comes directly to us. We are so excited that we can now take him places with us and meet all of his doggy cousins!!! Dan is great to work with, and with his instructions and our daily follow-up training, we have come so far in a very short period of time. I cried the first couple of classes, because we could not control our dog. I cried at the last class, because we had complete control over him. She can hire a lawyer if she wants but when it comes to libel or slander, truth is the ultimate defense. I will keep her message on my message machine for the indefinite future and will be happy to provide it to her attorney, if she actually has one. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ORIGINAL REVIEW: Well, it breaks my heart to write this review, but I'd be remiss if I didn't. I travel a lot, especially a lot of overseas travel. I had used Lynn and Debbie for some time but after a series of rather shocking mishaps, I terminated our relationship. Here are a few of the issues: 1. One of the two was engaged to kitty sit for four days. I came home early only to find the litter box had not been emptied for at least three of the four days, so my cat decided to mess on the carpet because of her box being overfilled. 2. I have a dome litter box, and one of the two decided to leave the lid off while I was gone because it was "too hard to put on" (stuff and nonsense) so when my kitty did use the box, she saturated the surrounding carpet. $200 to have the carpet and pad cleaned afterwards. 3. When one of the two had an unfortunate encounter with the court system and was required to spend some room-and-board time with the local police, I was aghast to find out they have no backup system - if you're overseas, and something happens to them, YOUR PET WILL BE LEFT ALONE FOR THE REMAINDER OF YOUR TRIP. Needless to say, this is phenomenally distressing. I don't have local family here in the Denver area, so I depend on PROFESSIONALS I hire to do their job and make plans for when they can't. 4. They only take cash - no checks, no credit cards - for reasons one can only guess. It's very inconvenient to the customer, but they have their reasons for not wanting anything but cash. (I'm an accountant. We refer to cash-only businesses as paper-trail avoiders). I get that, but when you pay cash in advance, and they take the cash but don't visit the kitty as promised, well, there's a word for that. Not a good word, either. All in all, very distressing, very unprofessional. They may be great with dog walking if you're home, but if you depend on them when you travel, you do so at your own peril.
