We initially contacted Ethan because of food aggression with our dogs. Not only have they not had any issues with aggression since our first session, they are better mannered overall. In addition to the food issue we worked on dog relaxation, leash manners, sit, down, stay, come, leave it and go find it. Ethan showed us several games to play with our dogs. My fiance and I are enjoying time with our fur babies now!! There is no more yelling and frustration. We can have them calm down and reward them with treats and praise. One of the last things we worked on was manners related to opening the door. Our lab and weimaraner are easily excited, and at about 75 pounds each can be a handful. Although we didn't have time to perfect the behavior before our last session was up Ethan gave us the tools to keep working on it. He was always professional and easy to reach. Unfortunately I had to reschedule on him twice and he was always nice about it. Our schedules can be hard to work with but Ethan was able to fit us in each week. We will definitely be joining a group class at some point. My fiance and I both feel like it was such a positive experience and increased our enjoyment of life with our creatures. We have a 170lb 2 yr old rescue English Mastiff that acts like a giant puppy. He gets super excited…read moreto meet every new person or pet he sees. This overstimulation made it almost impossible to control, and we had to pick very odd times to walk him to be able to avoid seeing anyone. We have worked with Dan for a month now and the change is amazing! He used to run over dogs in his excitement, and often bump into people as well. He now walks well on a leash, we can see when he starts to get excited and actually stop and redirect him. We can call him, and even have a dog run perpendicular across his oath, and he still comes directly to us. We are so excited that we can now take him places with us and meet all of his doggy cousins!!! Dan is great to work with, and with his instructions and our daily follow-up training, we have come so far in a very short period of time. I cried the first couple of classes, because we could not control our dog. I cried at the last class, because we had complete control over him. I've been using this salon for 10+ years. I get that things happen but the way she explained it was fishy. Started off asking about my dogs needs then told me they could not do him because their system didn't notify them until Friday. Mind you she called on Sunday. She offered me a grooming academy appointment in the future somewhere in another store, not at the scheduled time. No follow up just sorry, not sorry. I guess my tenure with this salon is over. At 12 months she began exhibiting signs of resource guarding and the intent to be the house alpha. Her positive treat based reinforcement group training wasn't getting us to where we needed and luckily we found Kaleb/All-Pro. She (and we) has been receiving personalized training with Kaleb since August 2025. She has come so far, and my (20 year old) daughter is doing the work needed as this is a high energy dog who needs more activity.
