I only give two kinds of reviews -- 1-star (you blew it) or 5-star (you crushed it). We The People…read moreConstruction... 5-star, no question. Honestly, if you're having any, ANY construction work done on your home, let me save you some time... Have We The People Construction do the work, or don't do the work at all. It's that simple. There is nobody better. Tom was our Project Manager, and not a day went by that he didn't reach out to let us know what the week's schedule was, who would be showing up to work, when they were showing up, what they would be working on, etc., etc. And at least once a week he would stop by just to face-to-face check in with us. When he was out of town for a few weeks, his right-hand guy, Bryan, didn't miss a beat. And their workers... I have never seen more industrious, professional labor ever. And we had a LOT of work done -- re-piping the entire house, two new roofs, new gutters, new stucco/stain, new AC unit in my studio, deck rebuild, new hardware installed on doors, kitchen fixtures refurbished, electrical work, etc., etc. It was a LOT. And never once did we feel poorly served. Always our concerns were taken into account, corrections made when necessary (there were very few), and questions were always answered in a timely manner. And Maggie... I never met Maggie, but she checked in regularly with us to make certain we were pleased, that things were going according to our expectations, and that if we had any concerns that were not being met by Tom (or Bryan for a few weeks while Tom was away), that we had only to let her know and she would take care of it. Absolutely first-rate professionalism. I wish I could deal with these sorts of people in ALL aspects of my life. Most importantly ... we were treated with immense respect. So important. We were not taken for granted. We were made to feel that the work on our project was every bit as important as that being done on any other project WTP was doing. Thoroughly professional. We spent a lot of money getting the work done that we contracted for, and I never felt more assured in my life that I was being well-served and we were getting what we paid for. Unsurpassed quality in materials, process, people, and timeliness. The work on our project took just under two months, but as I told Tom, it felt like two weeks the work was done so regularly, professionally, and in a timely fashion. So, again... If you're planning on any, ANY manner of construction work -- renovation, additions, new build, whatever. Hire We The People Construction... or just don't do it. Anyone else will be less and you will regret it. Personally, WTP has ruined me for what I expect in construction delivery! I'm afraid I'll simply have to use them from here on out, and you should too.

A - 1 Construction Company Review…read more I want to recommend to you A1 Home Remodeling Inc.. My contact person is David Izakellian, 310-980-0662, who has been amazingly helpful in explaining every aspect of each of the projects for which I engaged their services. David assisted me in creating the contract for each of the projects, and kept in touch before the work commenced, and periodically, during the time the construction was underway. Additionally, he returned after the construction team was finished, to assure that everything had been done according to the agreement and that the workers had left my home better that it had been before the work commenced, even helping with cleanup that the workers missed. The first project which A1 Home Remodeling Inc.did for me was the installation of a new roof. The old roof was more than 20 years old. There were no known leaks, but the asphalt tiles on the surface were showing signs of damage. David explained every step of process and the discussed the advantages of the recommended materials. The contract was written clearly, included each step of the process in detail and included a comprehensive description of the materials. The material David recommended was rated for helping to maintain temperatures within the house, and was eligible for a discount from DWP. David checked in with me while the job was in process and took pictures of the progress, using a drone camera to allow me to see the rooftop. At the conclusion of the job, David spent an afternoon helping me clean up the rooftop debris which fell into my cluttered garage, despite the draping the workmen put in place to prevent the debris falling into the contents of the garage. The project took less than a full 5 day workweek from start to finish. Any major project is time consuming and disruptive, but this project was an excellent experience. The second project that A1 Home Remodeling Inc. did for me was to repair, replace, and repaint exterior wood and doors. Woodwork was sanded, rotted boards were replaced, and all the surfaces were painted using a "paint" which has a lifetime warranty against peeling. Again, all the details were put in writing and David made sure that I understood exactly what the team would do. My job was scheduled for a few weeks out. About a week before the start date, the head of the team came to inspect and determine quantity of supplies needed. Once started, the job took just a few days to completion. As before, the construction team came on time, worked throughout the working day, worked on the job continuously to completion and cleaned up remaining debris when they were finished. And, as before, David followed up, coming to inspect after the team was finished, He even sent his gardener over to my house to clean up some small stray paint and paper pieces from the lawns and shrubbery. If you are looking for an excellent construction project experience I highly recommend that you call David, 310-980-0662, at A1 Home Remodeling Inc. for any home repair/improvement projects you may have.

We recently completed a backyard remodel with Unique Home Builders that included pavers and…read moreartificial turf in the backyard, as well as artificial turf in the front yard. Before choosing a contractor, we met with roughly 15 different companies, and from our very first meeting, Nir stood out from the rest. Unlike many contractors we spoke with, Nir never made us feel pressured or rushed into making a decision. He took the time to thoroughly explain the entire process, what to expect, and answer all of our questions. We made a few design changes throughout the project, and Nir was always willing to meet with us, come back out to the house, review the revisions, and make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. Throughout the entire project, he was always just a text or phone call away whenever we had a question. One thing we were especially happy about was how quickly they were able to get started. Within just a few days of signing the agreement, the crew was onsite and working. We wanted the project completed in time to enjoy our backyard during the summer, so that was a huge plus for us. The demo phase moved quickly, and throughout the entire project it was clear that everyone on the crew took pride in their work. There was always progress being made, and nobody was standing around waiting for something to do. The entire project took about 2-3 weeks, with a few days of delay due to an existing plumbing issue we discovered with our old galvanized main line. This was not related to their work, but once the issue was identified, Nir and his team were able to handle that project for us as well, including permits and inspections. After the plumbing work was completed, they got right back on track and finished everything quickly. As with any construction project, a few small items and details came up along the way that needed clarification or adjustment. Construction projects rarely go perfectly, and we had a few misunderstandings and unexpected issues come up throughout the process. What impressed us was that whenever something needed attention, Nir took ownership of it, communicated with us, and made sure it was resolved. In the end, everything was completed to our satisfaction. One of our biggest concerns before starting was who would actually be working on our property. We work from home and have kids, so we wanted to feel comfortable with the people who would be at our house every day for several weeks. One thing we really appreciated about Unique Home Builders was that they used their own crew. We got to know the team, everyone was respectful, and it made the entire experience much more comfortable. There were also a few design details that we changed while work was already underway. For example, around our palm trees we originally planned to do circular paver borders, but once we saw them taking shape, we decided we preferred square borders instead. We mentioned it to the foreman, and the team made the adjustment without any issues. That flexibility made a big difference. The job site was kept clean and organized throughout the project. During the demo phase there were naturally some days where material and debris accumulated in the front yard, but everything was organized, contained, and safely coned off. We also appreciated the little things. Whenever we were leaving or returning home while the crew was working, they would move equipment and materials out of the way for us, and they would even sweep up before leaving for the day. Those details did not go unnoticed. Pricing was very fair. Nir wasn't the cheapest bid we received, but he also wasn't the most expensive. Given the amount of work involved and the quality of the finished product, we felt the value was excellent. Just as importantly, the final cost matched the agreed contract price. The true test of a contractor isn't whether problems arise, it's how they handle them. Nir and his team consistently communicated, addressed concerns, and delivered a finished project we're proud of. We are extremely happy with the end result, would absolutely hire Unique Home Builders again, and would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.
