Good morning. This review is in reference to yesterday about 12:30p. I didn't have in my plans to…read morestop here btw. I was out this way (lunch date) n and had a flat about a mile away. I was frantic to say the least considering I live at 385/Riverdale. Well, I made to this location, pulled into the lot n by then it was fully flat. A guy saw me and came out to meet me n I explained I had run over a rock!!!!‍ He preceded to tell me to pull to a bay n then he checked it out, put air in it but we both heard the air coming back out. He then said hold on let me get someone else. He brought a guy out who bent down n found the leak and to my already bad day said it was in the side wall. Yikes. But they said we got you. You be ok. The guy took off my bad tire n put on my donut, mind u I'd just bought the vehicle a month ago. So yea, I'm a lil nervous. These two gentlemen Mike & Gabe were attentive, calm and most friendly in my time of need. I made it home on the donut. Lollol. I wanted to Thank these guys, but they wouldn't take any token of my appreciation which further made my day. So though I didn't have service this time I won't forget for future choices in my automotive needs. Kudos to these fellows n the mgmt that hired them. . I'm always preaching, "if you can't be anything else, BE KIND".

They've been maintaining my 20-year-old truck beautifully since maybe 2012. Sometime in 2021-22…read morethey did a complete brake overhaul--a flush, new rotors, pads, etc. I've NEVER had a complaint about their work, they're very competent and competitively priced. Here's the problem--they do a routine inspection checking all the fluids, brake pads, tires, alignment, etc., but the last time I was there, less than 18 months and 7,000 miles after my complete brake job, their "inspector" reported that my brake fluid was SHOT, and needed to be flushed. He even furnished a picture of the test strip he supposedly used. Remembering that they had just done all of that work on my previous visit, I declined the unnecessary service, and just had them change the oil, rotate the tires, and replace a belt. When I asked the manager, WTF? He stood by the technician's report and even "postured" a little like he was daring me to question it. I just rolled my eyes and walked away. He knew he was busted. I've attached the pictures they sent me. One end of the test strip is for coolant, the other is for brake fluid. The "technician" swapped in a bad brake fluid test strip from some other car for his photograph. I took the vehicle home, bought a GOOD brake fluid testing unit online. It arrived the next day, and showed that my brake fluid was like new. I checked it again last week (July 2025), it's still in great shape. I drive It less than 5,000 miles a year and it stays in a very well insulated garage. I could tell you about the time they stripped the threads on my oil drain plug, and how it leaked all over my spotless garage floor on Christmas Eve. Or how they sent me pictures of oil leaking out of the pan (I delayed having this repair done and it magically cured itself!) Or the time they replaced my spark plugs twice within a 20,000 mile period (because I wasn't paying attention and said to go ahead and do it) --but all of that is water under the bridge. So basically, in May of 2024, a tech and his manager both tried to trick me into paying for an unnecessary brake flush. Not the first time they had tried something like this, but it was the first time I noticed. I see the reviews since then seem to have declined, as well. Maybe I'm not alone? Not a very Christian thing to do, IMO. I read a Book once that said it's against the rules to violate or misrepresent the "name, image, and likeness" of the Almighty. Somebody will have to answer for that someday. Not my place, not my problem. I'm selling the old truck soon anyway, won't be going back to CBA. It's a shame, because like I said, they did very good work for me, they did it fast, and were very polite.

I tried to get a response from the text chain that was initiated when I booked the appointment, called 2 different phone numbers I could find online and emailed as well. No response. Then 3 hours later they get back to me and I asked that they still come. The issue with my car was concerning back brake lights that would not turn off and were draining the battery. The mechanic inspected and diagnosed that I needed my brake light switch replaced (also back brake light bulbs were burned out). He quoted me $420-$460 to fix it (that price included the $140 inspection and fuel surcharge fee). That sounded crazy to me so I just paid the $140 base fee said forget it, don't do the repair. I did some research on YouTube and checked out the situation myself, and it turned out to be just the rubber bumper piece that depresses the switch that had rotted and I was able to replace it with a bolt and washer I had on-hand for free. And anyway, if it had been a bad switch, that part only costs $10-$20. I'm pissed that the guy was going to over-charge me and I can't help but think it was because I'm a woman.

Hell, my fiancee (only half-jokingly) said she'd be willing to drive to his shop for any auto-related issues that might pop up on us from now on. And we live in Nashville. No kidding. These guys are pro-level mechanics. We limped into Memphis for the last fifty miles due to the transmission in my fiancee's 2012 Nissan Cube causing the car to "surge" in RPM's, while decelerating even if the pedal was pegged to the floorboard. We'd pull over and read Nissan forums for ten or so minutes every time, then crank it up and make it another ten or so miles down the road. We decided to skip the concert we'd driven to Memphis for and try to make it to our room in Tunica and get some sleep so we could wake up yesterday morning (Saturday, July 8th) and start trying to get the car into the Nissan dealership in Southaven. Every place we stopped at or called on the way into Memphis told us we pretty much had no other choice but to take it to a Nissan dealership due to the CVT transmission, and the fact that even the transmission fluid isn't owner-serviceable. We started calling the Service department at Landers Nissan at 7 AM sharp, but didn't actually get anyone on the phone until 8:30. This was after countless calls, a few voice mails, and the loss of a lot of patience. When the operator finally got someone in Service to talk to us, we were told they were booked solid. After explaining that we're from out of town and needed the transmission fluid changed by the end of the day so that we'd be able to make it back home to Nashville, the Service Department rep speaking to my fiancee said we could just come in and they'd hopefully be able to get to us, but there was at least a six hour wait. Fortunately I'd also been calling other transmission shops in the area, and that's when I got David from Thweatt's on the other end of the line. And we were in good hands from that point on. I explained our disastrous trip into Memphis from Nashville, and that I'd done a lot of Googling and reading forums while on the side of the road. The consensus from other Nissan Cube / Nissan with the CVT owners with the exact same problem was that there was an issue with transmission fluid pressures that caused the car to "surge and decelerate" at any speed, but particularly at highway speeds. David said he wasn't sure if they'd be able to change our transmission fluids for us, but he'd ask his boss, Danny. He did, and said they might possibly be able to get us taken care of, after he confirmed they could get the parts needed from the dealer to get it done. Of course the transmission fluid required is a special fluid manufactured for Nissan CVT transmissions, and there is a very particular procedure requiring proprietary tools and equipment to do it, so I just hoped for the best when David said he'd call me back after procuring what they'd need to change the fluids. Twenty minutes later, Danny called. He informed me that there was a Class Action lawsuit against Nissan over the faulty CVT transmissions, and since ours qualified with the mileage requirements, it would be in our best interest to have a Nissan dealership do any work associated with the car. My heart sank, and I had a lead ball in my stomach when I told him I'd take a chance with all that once we get back to Nashville, and I literally just needed a fluid change to get us home and that the Nissan dealership wasn't really helping us, so we were desperate. He said "Well come on in then. We'll handle it for you and get you home". A hero is what Danny Thweatt is. A hero with tools and car lifts instead of a cape. We made it into the shop, and were told to just come back in an hour and a half. David told us all our options for eating within walking distance, and told us we were welcome to come sit in the air-conditioned office instead. And that we could sit in the only two chairs they had in the office, each at their respective desk. We politely declined, and went to grab lunch across the road instead. You honestly can't find more polite, hospitable, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional mechanics anywhere in my opinion. This has gone on too long, so I'll wrap it up by saying this: Danny did get our transmission fluid changed, and replaced the gasket and filter kit. He recorded the code that the OBD displayed before he started so that we'd be able to provide Nissan with any pertinent information to start the transmission replacement process as part of the Class Action against it. He showed us the metal flakes in the transmission fluid pan that exhibited some serious damage to the CVT. All in all, it took a few hours; but we made it home last night. And I'll tell anyone I can that Danny Thweatt is an absolute pro, and he's one of the few out there that cares about his work, and takes great pride in doing his job well. Thank you Danny. A++

I needed to get back on the road to South Carolina the next morning, so I was extremely stressed. I contacted Brothers Mobile Tire Service & Tire Shop, and they were very helpful by giving me Mr. Robert's phone number. When I called him, he told me to come straight to his location. As soon as I arrived, he quickly diagnosed the issue and immediately started calling around to find the necessary part. What truly meant the most was the kindness shown by his family. They personally drove my family and me back to our hotel while the car was being repaired. This was a huge blessing because we had a family of five and Uber could only accommodate four passengers. At first, I thought the car wouldn't be ready until the next morning, but Mr. Robert called me shortly after and said he already had the part removed and would have the car ready that same night. Less than three hours later, he was on his way to deliver my vehicle back to me. When I got in the car, it drove like new again. Mr. Robert was truly a blessing to my family. He worked faster than any shop I've ever dealt with and went above and beyond to help us in a stressful situation. If you need any vehicle services in the area, Mr. Robert is definitely the person to call for fast, reliable, and excellent service.
