He was able to find the issue within 10 minutes and sealed off the area in 20 min. He found there were other areas on our roof that could use some preventative care. He later supplied a reasonable quote and offered to come back the following morning. We had other options but knew we would go with him. The job was finished the next day in about an hr. Leak is gone, and roof is further reinforced. The weather this week in particular has been a cold, windy, and wet one. There was even a light dusting of snow the night before Victor came to work on our roof. We appreciated his proactiveness, and friendly demeanor in our situation. I'd recommend him to any of my neighbors who may have similar issues.

My wife and I recently worked with Clark County General Contracting to repair our bathroom after…read morediscovering water damage. Darrell, the owner, and his worker Nate were fantastic from start to finish. We originally noticed a bump in the bathroom floor that turned out to be a moisture issue. A mitigation company came in to remove the damaged flooring and toilet and dry everything out. After that, we started collecting quotes from contractors--and chose Darrell because he was by far the most straightforward and transparent. He took the time to explain everything clearly, gave us a fair quote, and didn't sugarcoat anything. Once we agreed to move forward, Darrell even handled communication with our insurance company and got the project covered. That alone was a huge help. The work itself turned out great. Darrell and Nate installed new subflooring, laminate that we picked out, and new baseboards. After the job was done, we did notice a couple of minor issues--one with the baseboard seal and another with the threshold transition that my wife wasn't happy with. Darrell came back out promptly and made sure both were addressed to our satisfaction. I've included some photos of the bathroom after mitigation and the finished result--the difference speaks for itself. Great company, easy to work with, and reliable. We're already considering another bathroom remodel, and we'll absolutely be going with Darrell again.

That and our comfort with Darrell made our choice easy. We made some big changes to our second story deck, so it took some time for a structural engineer to get plans in place but, the final product was well worth the wait. Darrell and Ed worked to make sure our deck was sturdy and well built. We now have an extended deck with awning that actually comes from above the roof line. The difference is night and day and we are thrilled with our new deck!

I am a new mom and was thinking having a design/build firm would be perfect since this project would be down to studs. Then I would not have to act as the general contractor. I did some research and seen the Craftsman Design and Renovation van around the neighborhood. I called and the office person was wonderful and she said the owner would call me back to discuss next steps. Well today I talked to the owner and outlined my process so far. I had mentioned I started my search at Home Depot and had an idea of cabinets and countertops. He said he was a design build firm and people come to them to design, this was said in what I felt was a dismissive tone. The conversations started to take a turn. I said "don't customers have an idea of colors?". He then went to tell me that his company does remodels in the ballpark of 50K. He never asked me the size of my home or my budget. I guess my money is not good enough. I can only imagine the communication on a project if this is how the first impression went. UPDATE: the owner of Craftsman Design and Build got wind of this post and called to make this right. He did sincerely apologize. He called because he wanted this post down/revised.
