My family and I have been renting jet skis around the globe for years, and not once did anyone perform a post-use inspection. I have no problem with them performing a post-use inspection, but if you are going to do that, you need to also do a pre-use inspection in front of us. We were on the lake, away from debris and the shore, yet she said the jet ski sucked up something and was damaged. We were charged an additional fee for parts and labor for repairs. The thing is, if you didn't perform a pre-use inspection in front of the customer, how do we know this isn't previous damage? Do they do this to all unsuspecting customers? Who knows. Lesson learned for next time.

This trip, bar none, was outstanding. Now, maybe it was the guide affect? Our guide Ben gave us far more then we anticipated. I had my 20 yo daughter with me and she had a blast. Ben created a fun and relaxed atmosphere void of any tight-ass guide power trips. A full day doesn't mean a full day of class III. The class III rapids are a blast but the stops at the N. Fork, the unreal waterfall hike, jump rock and plenty of swimming opportunities are an added bonus! Enjoy!

Their site and cabins are comfortable, clean, and cozy. It's such a treat to have delicious breakfasts and dinners al fresco, under a canopy of tall trees. The rafting equipment is well maintained. Our evenings were topped off sitting around a campfire. Anyone would be fortunate to spend time a couple of days with Redwoods and Rivers.

Our group was age 10 - 64 and everyone survived :-) *** request Chris *** I guess I didn't realize how potentially dangerous it was until a couple of our teenagers fell out of the raft during a rapid.... But they were ok... Only bruises and some scrapes. They would do it all over again.... Falls and all. We went on a Class III tour which included Class I - III rapids. It's sort of "medium adventurous". If you have a lot of younger or older people in your group, you are probably good sticking with a Class I - II tour. But you will be safe during a Class III if you tell your guide that you can't swim, don't want to be thrown from the raft, etc. TIPS: DRINK A LOT OF WATER, show up early, expect to be exhausted the next day, expect to do a little hiking / climbing during lunch, Bring sunscreen, get one of those things that help your sunglasses stay around your neck because you will lose them, wear a visor or a cap under your helmet, bring cash to tip your guide because they do a hell of a job and they only make $100/day. IT'S A LOT OF FUN and the owners are really nice people.

But our experience from the beginning to end was extraordinary. And in the beginning, we also called him like 100 times because we kept getting lost but he was patient and directed us back. Gave us advice to pick up snacks for the calm parts of the river - which we were thankful for 2 hours in to the 3 hour rental. Gave us safety guidelines that were also worth knowing about the river- we definitely would of panicked as there are several bends and just keep in mind the first 3 bridges come fast and then the last two take quite some time as we did sign up for the 6 hour tour.
