Such a wonderful experience! We hosted a celebration of life for my mother in law here and we could not have found a more peaceful and beautiful place to honor her. Russ and Debbie, the owners, were so accommodating, enjoyable, helpful and easy going; people you could just spend all day talking to. There are some RV spaces to camp here so we stayed on site to make set up a little easier on the day of the memorial. We had family that rented a quaint one bedroom cabin on site as well. There is an outdoor covered kitchen area with a huge refrigerator, which allowed us to bring food in advance and prep the day before. It was all so convenient! They were in the path of the Dixie fire, so the drive out there is baron, but don't let that deter you. Once you arrive, you are surrounded by green trees and stunning scenery. It was a perfect hidden gem. We are so pleased with our entire experience at lassen meadows and would absolutely recommend it and use this venue again for other events. read more

Our family has been coming to Lassen Meadows Ranch every Summer for the past 6 years. It is a peaceful oasis to relax and unplug. The property is so beautiful - a private lake stocked with rainbow trout, bald eagles hunting to feed their eaglets, sand hill cranes strutting through a pristine alpine meadow, miles of hiking, and cozy cabins with all the modern comforts of home to relax after a day of exploring. Lassen Meadows Ranch is an incredibly breathtaking location for your vacation or special event. After considering options from the Sierras to Yosemite for our July, 2016 wedding, we discovered LMR and immediately fell in love with the place after one visit and stopped considering any other options. There is a gorgeous lake central to the large event space on the property, an outdoor prep kitchen, bathrooms with showers, nesting bald eagles and frolicking bear cubs, a huge, glorious meadow, and acres of forests surrounding the major circulation areas. The Juniper lake entrance (a non-major entrance) to Lassen Volcanic National Park is nearby (as well as Drakesbad), and short hikes 15 minutes from the ranch give you incredible views of Mount Shasta and Mount Lassen. Chester is the nearest town, and has enough hotels and restaurants to accommodate out of town visitors. We wanted our wedding to feel more like a family reunion/camp-out than a fancy or formal event, and to be primarily outdoors, and the ranch worked perfectly for our needs and our guests. We were able to rent the property and cabins for an entire 4 day weekend, and held a welcome BBQ and Square Dancing event, dinners and brunches, a 5k, and of course our wedding ceremony and associated festivities. Some of our guests camped on the property in tents and a few in trucks or RVs, and everyone is still raving about the beauty of that weekend. Debbie and Russ, the ranch owners/proprieters are incredibly responsive and easy to work with. Debbie was very helpful from start to finish, with advice and information about resources in and around Chester, and even offered to let us use some of the supplies from previous events for our event. She was very flexible with allowing us to visit the property with our caterer and event planner months prior to the event, and helped answer last minute questions and resolve issues when we were setting everything up. We couldn't be happier with the way our wedding turned out, and much of that success was due to the fantastic venue--we highly recommend Lassen Meadows Ranch for your family reunion, vacation, or wedding venue. read more

Me, my husband and our daughter enjoyed a relaxing weekend on this ranch. We stayed in the Lake Cabin which came fully stocked in the kitchen with a nice outdoor patio to enjoy some sun. The fishing was amazing all day long. The owners and groundskeepers are really nice and have good stories about the ranch. We will definitely be coming back and making this an annual trip for our family. read more

My husband and I had an INCREDIBLE stay here! We stayed in the Studio Cabin, which considering we were only there for a night, was PERFECT. Had everything we needed for a quick get-away from the kiddos. The lake is gorgeous and there was a family of bald eagles and herons that we got to watch come and go. There is a great hike around the lake that we took advantage of and Debbie was SUPER NICE. We borrowed the BBQ and cooked some flank steaks and potatoes on the lawn near the dock for dinner and drove into Chester (about 15 minutes) for breakfast on our way out the next morning. Relaxing, beautiful setting. We're trying to think of anyone we can to get hitched here...it would be a PERFECT place for that. We'll absolutely be coming back, we're hoping maybe during winter, we'd love to see the lake in a snowy setting!! read more

Lassen Meadows Ranch is such a beautiful and special place to have a wedding. Intimate and serene; this place takes the book! My family still 7 months later can't stop talking about how magical my wedding was; like a fairy tale. I love that there are cabins on property AND camping/RV space provided for a full 3 days of fun for the whole family. It makes it so much more of an intimate gathering, a family affair; rather then a rushed 4 hour day in some crumby convention hall. I highly recommend this spot if you are searching for a special venue that fits all your needs. The lake, the outdoor kitchen, the donkeys that roam(they are the sweetest!) all adds to the experience. Debbie is so nice and easy going. She's always happy to answer questions throughout the planning process and even measured items on property(while planning) for me when I asked since I was 5 hours away. My husband and I got married here in 2012 and we finally made it back this summer for a visit with our two little ones! It completely took my breath away once again as we pulled into the stunning property. It is just one of the most beautiful and special places I've ever been in the the Sierras. It was so fun to go back and visit and spend the afternoon. Debbie was so sweet and welcoming as always and it was so fun to come back as a family of four just a few years after our wedding. I wish we could do the wedding all over again! What a fantastic ranch. We spent the weekend here and it was absolutely beautiful. The property is beautiful, the Lake House is settled right on the lake, and the grounds were gorgeous. Hiking, Kyaks, everything you want to do or not do (we loved the peace and quiet, so relaxing). We highly recommend this place. Thanks for the champagne Debbie and Russ. Nice touch!!!! read more
