I wish I had read the reviews below from Sach, Kristiana, and M.K. earlier--then I might have avoided falling victim to the shady tactics of a technician from High Demand Heating. To Rhonda, consider yourself lucky they didn't show up. If they had, you might have been caught in the same dishonest tricks. I request service to fix the fireplace pilot mode not stay on issue. This guy came and replaced two parts but failed to resolve the problem. It became clear that the original parts were still functional. Despite this, we were charged 500 more, with the replacement parts priced significantly above market value. We paid these charges in good faith. When I informed him that we needed time to consider whether to proceed with the purchase of another part (quoted at an additional $600), He agreed to put everything back. But he engaged in unethical behavior, including: - Intentionally cutting the wire connected to the high-temperature heat sensor before reassembling the unit. - Tampering with other wire connections, making it impossible for another technician to repair the issue. Fortunately, I had taken photos of the fireplace system before his arrival, which helped me verify and document his actions. I do not believe this was the first time he has employed such deceptive tactics; it's simply a matter of him not being caught until now. Intentionally damaging or sabotaging equipment to make repairs more difficult or costly, and then using that situation to demand a higher price, is unethical. It is a form of manipulation or fraud. RCMP were called after owner trespassed, threatened to break into seniors home to remove part he'd "temporarily " installed, and wanted it back. We allowed him to take it back & reinstall original part, but never allowed back. Police file. Fortis BC + new contractor agreed that the only way original part would leak gas is if it was broken, or it was loosened. It is not broken, and now works fine again, without needing to spend hundreds on a repair. Disappointed with this bad experience. read more

I had a terrible experience with this company; i would NOT use them and wish someone had told me. In short, I had a new AC unit installed by them and it never really worked. I had to call them every year to come back (which would be after summer due to their timing), they would never find the problem but temporarily get it going. By year 4, I basically told them I was worried about the warranty and if it wasn't fixed properly I wanted a new one. They brought out "contract people", who said there was a leak, and the coil was ruined from using it.... they stopped charging me for some thing by year 4; but still didn't follow they to fix/confirm leak. Warranty done in yr5 and they wanted to charge me another 2000 for the part that broke because they didn't find it or tell us - kept saying it was good each year. That would mean one unit over 5 years was to cost us 8000. They refused to provide me a bill, which I had received every year prior (and paid). That bill could show the part broke due to their negligenc. Then tried to put a lien on my house because I demanded a bill; which I still haven't receive. I have a complaint in with the BBB and will be seeing them after that. Don't be deceived by the the small compan, going to make this right for sure, trust me deal- complete lies!! read more

I would prefer NO STARS I scheduled a technician to service my furnace and ducts as well as gas fire place. Because of my work schedule I arranged for someone to be here at the agreed upon time which was confirmed just a few days before. No one showed up in the time Frame and no one even contacted me. When I reached out to inquire, I still did not get a response. this Is unacceptable customer service. Do not book with High Demand Heating. read more

Good Morning everyone. I just wanted to post my expierence with High Demand Heating so that none of the rest of you single Ladies get duped by this company. I booked a service with High Demand Heating about a month ago. My furnace was working fine. There was nothing wrong, just a regular service. The service guy showed up during the time that was agreed and I took him to my furnace. I watched him pull out my air filter and say it's not bad for two years. I walked away and left him to do his service. About 15 minutes later he comes up stairs, "you realize your furnace is not working." And I was taken aback. My house was warm and clearly it had been blowing all night. He's like come and I'll show you. So I come down stairs and he pokes around my furnace "I'm not really sure what it is" as he's testing with his multi meter and fumbling around. Even to me he looks incompetent. "Looks like your gas valve isn't working." I am utterly surprised, I had only booked a service what "timing". I paid him for the call out thinking he had serviced my furnace. Fast forward to dealing with the company, because of the times, they told me that they couldn't get the parts and I should wait a month for them to get them... with Christmas around the corner. They warn me that the parts are expensive. They never mention a warnty what's so ever... So I start calling around to find the parts. I call Gandy and confirm that they have the parts. Luckily their guy can come out in 2 days. He shows up pulls out a computer. Plugs it in. NO FUMBLING AROUND. Gandy says "it's very often thst companies will break parts so to have to fix them, it's a common scam. Your furnace is still under warnty for parts, did they mention this?" And I respond no. "What did you call them for?" He asks. I respond "a service". He responds well no service was done, everything is still dirty and their guy even installed the furnace filter in backwards. Dealing with the front desk lady at High Demand is terrible. She now will not answer my calls. She claims the technician never touched my filter, when I watched him. Her answer is well you could of waited a month for our parts... and nothing was ever mentioned about my warnty. So now Im out 131.25$ and I don't want the company back. They never serviced my furnace, they actually broke my furnace and then expected me to wait a month for parts from them through below 0 weather and Christmas. The guy couldn't even install a furnace filter properly. And nothing was said about warnty... Just so you know, I've been told this is a typical scam! They break parts and charge twice, once to the customer once to warnty. At least Gandy fixed what they broke, but I believe a refund is in order for tricking me into thinking that the service was done. Thoughts? read more

I would not recommend this company to anyone, not ever! We were a returning customer and had such a recent bad experience. They sold me a thermostat which i didnt need and was not even compatible with my system. He tried to sell me a brand new furnace, which i did not need! The tech installed a thermostat it in less than a few minutes and told us to read the manual to figure it out as he ran out the door. i had to hire and pay another company to fix their mistakes. They had someone return to fix mistakes and was told the wires were loose when the other tech installed so this was corrected by the second person. No apology not once! Themostst still didnt work the next day the temp wouldnt go down! They kept saying maybe it was something else that broke down. Isnt it your job to figure out the problem your first visit isnt that why i pay for a diagnostic visit ? Then when you come arent you supposed to fix the problem you discovered? Then if you install a thermostat that is clearly not compatible arent you supposed to be accountable and fix the issue? If you walked out of my house and immediately the thermostat doesnt work the next day, you are responsible for fixing the issue, i paid you for this service and a product you recommended! Why would i pay another company to come fix and diagnose again we paid ALOT of money for the repairs. We ended up having to pay another person to come help us, as this company stopped returning our calls. my old thermostat is back on and working fine with my original furnace which we were told was faulty by HD.we called many times and they were aware of how unhappy we were with the service and no call apologizing ect. worst customer service. mary on the phone says shes not a technician when i ask questions but when i reminded her of all the problems we were having she suddenly was talking like a technician. they kept trying to tell us we need a new furnace - which we dont need now that we have actual trust worthy professionals looking after our heating. now our calls are being screened not answered or returned. i will never use or reccomend this company to anyone, youre wasting your money! if this gets to the owner, i hope you see this and realize how your company has ripped us off and how poorly we are treated. working with people as a profession personally, i know this is not how you treat others who trusted your company. they will just ignore you and no accountability at ALL! i hope you find satisfaction in the extra money you made by selling me the thermostat i didnt even need or is compatible with my system and for ripping me off and not answering my calls! its unfortunate a young family that trusted a local company is treated this way! i will continue to write bad reviews any chance i get as i am extremly disappointed at your lack of accountability and your willingness to resolve this matter. find someone new to answer your phones, mary is extremely rude! I have always chosen family owned businesses for home services and the folks at High Demand Heating are the perfect example of why. Great service from great people! I call them for my furnace & fireplace every year! Mary is a sweetheart and always so helpful, especially when I have a hard time picking a time for my appointment! read more
