When we finally connected and I let her know exactly what I was looking for, she assured me that she could do that at a reasonable price. She e-mailed me a quote a couple of days later and I agreed that the price was fair and reasonable. I quickly Venmo'ed her the payment and we were all set. Nothing more was needed. The day of our wedding she dropped off the two sides at the requested time. As everybody enjoyed their picnic dinner people kept saying to me that both the mashed potatoes and the green beans were phenomenal. That made me so happy that everybody enjoyed them. I personally thought both were great, but the green beans were out of this world. She used the thinner french version of green beans, so they were already delicate, not tough. They definitely had butter in them, plenty to make them taste good. What was unique is she added white onion. I love onion and it was a perfect compliment to the baby beans, butter, and almonds. I ate so many green beans because I just could not stop, they were so good. I appreciated everything Karen did for us and at such a great price. The bedding was old and worn, and the shower floor felt soft and unstable, almost like you could fall through it. Several bathroom tiles were coming loose as well. The curtains didn't close all the way, making it difficult to block out light and maintain privacy. Noise and building movement were also issues. Every time someone walked past our room, the entire room seemed to shake, which made it hard to relax. The room did include a mini-fridge, which was appreciated. The inn also offers complimentary snacks and hot beverages at the mart. While the gesture was nice, the snacks consisted of prepackaged rolls that were not very good. The tea selection was surprisingly excellent, but the coffee was disappointing. Another downside was the pricing at the mart, where everything seemed extremely overpriced. We also attempted to fill up with gas before leaving, but the pumps were not working. Overall, the location is the best thing this property has going for it. Given the condition of the room and the price charged, I would not stay here again and would look for other options in the area.

One of the major perks of their equipment was also the option to rent a tent with clear walls, so our guests could remain warm while still enjoying the beautiful scenery outside. They also communicated well with us on timing of setup and takedown before and after the wedding, and those processes went very smoothly. We hired Chef Andrew Blake for a private dinner in Jackson Hole for a special birthday trip. The…read moredinner cost $2,000 for eight people, not including gratuity. The most serious issue involved a guest with a severe fish allergy. We disclosed the allergy well in advance and were specifically assured that her food would be prepared separately, including separate cookware, utensils, and dishes. The guest with the allergy recalls hearing Chef Andrew instruct an assistant to remove fish from her plate. That is obviously inconsistent with the separate-preparation precautions we had specifically discussed. She developed hives after dinner and had to leave the group and go to bed early. The reaction was extremely concerning given the assurances we had received. There was also a significant scheduling problem. We had confirmed September 18 in writing months earlier. Chef Andrew later sent a menu showing September 20, but that menu did not arrive until September 16 at 7:00 p.m., when I was already traveling. We did not discover the problem until the afternoon of September 18, by which time he was unavailable. We agreed to September 20 only to salvage the dinner, even though that followed a 12+ hour Yellowstone tour and was our final night before an early departure. There were other service issues as well, including difficulty getting promised follow-up calls, a missing planned dessert item, and aspects of the service that did not feel consistent with a private-chef experience. To be fair, several dishes were good, there was plenty of food, and members of our group complimented parts of the meal. I raised the concerns with Chef Andrew privately and requested a partial refund. Had the allergy incident not occurred, I likely would have accepted the other issues and moved on. Instead, the chef focused largely on his ingredient and labor costs and ultimately declined to offer any refund or adjustment. The cost of the dinner was never an issue - a refund was requested because the experience was considerably deficient. I chose Chef Andrew largely because of his positive reviews, which is why I think it is important to share our experience. There were enjoyable parts of the meal, but the allergy incident, scheduling error, and service issues made the overall experience very disappointing.
