Further, Jen Givens, Director of Catering & Events, was a delight to work with. She helped us pick out our menu, patiently and enthusiastically answered our (many) questions, and coordinated with our wedding vendors. Over the course of the pandemic, when we had to postpone and reimagine our wedding, Bistro Catering and the Fine Dining Restaurant Group graciously gave us flexibility throughout the pandemic. Jen was such a delight to work with as she helped us navigate through their impressive and customizable food options. At the tasting, we fell in love with quite literally every dish we had. Being Chicago foodies, we knew right away we made the right decision! We had to postpone our wedding due to the pandemic but Jen was incredibly understanding and accommodating throughout the entire process. Fast forward to the official wedding and it was all perfect. Her staff had to work through a massive storm in the middle of an open field and somehow managed to protect each plate of food from a single droplet of water. The presentation was beautiful and people are STILL raving about their entrees (especially that pasta!!), the breads, the meats, the key lime tarts, and the service. Everything was outstanding. If you are looking for not only delicious food, but incredible service look no further than Bistro Catering. Unfortunately, the stay itself was disappointing, especially considering the price. The room felt dated and in need of maintenance. The bedding was old and worn, and the shower floor felt soft and unstable, almost like you could fall through it. Several bathroom tiles were coming loose as well. The curtains didn't close all the way, making it difficult to block out light and maintain privacy. Noise and building movement were also issues. Every time someone walked past our room, the entire room seemed to shake, which made it hard to relax. The room did include a mini-fridge, which was appreciated. The inn also offers complimentary snacks and hot beverages at the mart. While the gesture was nice, the snacks consisted of prepackaged rolls that were not very good. The tea selection was surprisingly excellent, but the coffee was disappointing. Another downside was the pricing at the mart, where everything seemed extremely overpriced. We also attempted to fill up with gas before leaving, but the pumps were not working. Overall, the location is the best thing this property has going for it. Given the condition of the room and the price charged, I would not stay here again and would look for other options in the area.

Service is spotty, the manager is great and takes ownership when needed. The staff can be hit or miss, which is standard in this area as so many feel entitled or have some other kind of attitude like they are only there as a favor to their employer. Great location with good nearby eats. I'll stay there more because the price point is one of the best.

He was friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in and made us feel very welcome. The room was nice and cool when we walked in which was refreshing on a warm July day. The room we booked (king room) is standard sized, not huge, but very comfortable - and ours has a little patio with a view overlooking the pool. I feel like I might've rated 4 stars because some of the building appears a little messy (the random little office spaces) or worn (the maze-like hallways) but because of the fabulous service I'm bumping it up!

She stuck with us for our rescheduled date earlier this month! Hannah is friendly and professional, weaving herself into the background so that she can get her wonderful candid shots. My husband and I were drawn to Hannah's photography style because we wanted photos that looked natural and authentic, rather than overly posed. We got exactly what we hoped for! My plan was farfetched as I had asked each photographer if they would act as our canoe guide through some mountain lakes to capture my proposal. Taylor was the only person to call back. He was extremely enthusiastic and encouraging of the idea. He has a certain energy to him that you won't find anywhere else. He's also very patient and extremely friendly. Given the intimacy of engagement and wedding photos, those are very important qualities.
