**Outstanding Experience with Solar Optimum -- Highly Recommended!**…read more I first connected with Solar Optimum at their booth at the EV show in San Pedro, and from the very beginning, their salesmanship and customer service were excellent. They followed up promptly, walked me through the available options, and designed a solar system specifically tailored to my needs. As a four-time EV owner and an engineer, I had very specific requirements, and I can say that Solar Optimum was exceptionally accommodating and willing to work with me to get the system I wanted. They handled the entire process, including all the permits and scheduling the installation, and they delivered on their commitments. Everything stayed on schedule, and my system was up and running within a matter of months. What really impressed me was that Solar Optimum managed to fit **two more panels on my roof than any of the previous three solar companies I received bids from**--all of which I ultimately rejected in favor of Solar Optimum. To top it all off, their price was also the lowest! They also made financing incredibly easy, which was another big plus. As an unexpected bonus, the financing introduced me to a new credit union that I now belong to. Since joining, I've discovered additional benefits, including high-interest savings accounts and low-interest auto loans. So, thanks to Solar Optimum, I got a better solar system at a lower price, an easy financing experience, and a new credit union membership that has opened the door to other financial benefits! Overall, Solar Optimum delivered on every front: excellent customer service, a customized system that maximized my available roof space, competitive pricing, easy financing, and a smooth installation process. As someone who approaches these decisions analytically and knows exactly what I want, I couldn't be happier with my choice. **I HIGHLY recommend Solar Optimum to anyone considering solar!** A small suggestion: if you're posting this on Google or Yelp, adding the approximate year of installation could make the review even more useful to prospective customers.

Out of the several bids I received, NeoSun was by far the most responsive and transparent. Naré was amazing, answering my endless questions promptly and completely. She clearly knows a lot about solar panel systems. Daniel, who manages the installation planning and execution, is another brilliant, experienced superstar. He's got a great eye for detail while keeping track of the bigger picture and his crew. When city inspectors threw conflicting requirements at us, he immediately tracked down the right info to ensure we passed. At every step, NeoSun went above and beyond to handle the details and ease my concerns. Even after the installation was complete, inspections passed, and invoices paid, NeoSun followed up to make sure my system was operating properly. True pros. They were an absolute pleasure to work with!

It's 4 year in a row now the system failed to produce the minimum guaranteed production. AWS Solar chose to compensate for the shortfall again; we'll see what the 5th year production looks like. I suggested replacing some of the panels with the higher power ones to solve the issue, but I guess they want to see more data.

I hired AWS Solar to install solar panels on my home In May 2026. They completed the job a few…read moreweeks later. They did a very good jod. I am pleased. However, upon completeing the job, the project manager Tim Broughton called me, helped me log on to the Enphase app so that I could monitor the panels. After I confirmed that I was logged in, I was told that I was up and running And they were done. I was happy thinking I was now running on the sun. Wrong. So very wrong. I received my electric bill and astonished to see the electric portion was over $800.00. I called the power company and was told that the $130.00 application fee had not been paid. I notified Mr. Broughton and he immediatley saw that the bill for the application fee was paid and apologized for the error. Now the fun begins. I called the power company and asked when they would be out to install the proper meter for solar panels. I was informed that no application for a meter to be installed was on file and that I had to submit an application for interconnection. Hmm? No one mentioned anything to me about completing and application or that I had to contact the power company. I completed the PTO (Permission to Operate) form and based on the questions being asked and the information I needed to provide leads me to believe the Solar company was responsible for completing this form and sending the required fee. Ok. Lets not look to for someone to blame, lets just get the proper meter installed. I completed the PTO and submitted it. The power company came out a couple of weeks later and installed the a new meter. Onlyit was not a meter for solar panels. They installed the same new meter but it was the same meter as the meter I already had. I asked them why they didn't put on a solar meter and I was told that I needed to submit a PTO for a SOLAR METER, which is different. And by the way, they have a special person that installs solar meters and a special person to install regular meters. This seemed rather stupid to me. I ask the power comapany rep for the contact info for the solar department and he told he didn't know. I won't name the power company. LADwp. The one good thing the DWP rep did upon arriving to his office was to send an email to contact the proper department at the power company. I assumed he would have just gone about his business and let me flounder. I started on the second application which asked for job site photos. This was to me another indication that the solar installer was suppose to complete this form because Joe Citizen would not know what photos they were required. I did observe that periodically, the workers would take photos, but none were ever sent to me. Now I'm in the middle of August 2026 with fingers, legs, arms, eyes and anything else, maybe the dogs and cats, crossed hoping that this time I will get a meter. The bottom line is I would still recommend AWS SOLAR to anyone, but I'd have to caution them to make sure they get you connected and ALL fees are paid. Because I was dealing with the City of LA and being constantly sent to voice mail and waiting for call backs, this experience was horrendous.

Second Update: STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! This review concerns my direct experience with the…read morecompany's handling of the matter, including unwanted private communication and responses I find highly accusatory, aggressive, retaliatory, harassing, threatening and hostile. Since LA Solar Group continues to publicly and falsely accuse me of making "completely unfounded" and "factually false" claims, I am posting the actual email I received for the public to see. At 4:01 a.m. on October 1, 2026, I received a ClickUp email stating: "Ara Petrosyan invited you to join LA Solar Group, LLC - Proposal for Upcoming Project on ClickUp." The invitation identified the workspace as "LA Solar Group, LLC - Proposal for Upcoming Project" and identified the inviter as Ara Petrosyan. Attached is a screenshot of the email I received it at an email address linked to my LinkedIn account. I have never claimed knowledge of who technically generated or transmitted the invitation behind the scenes. I have described what I actually received, what it said, and my experience afterward. Their repeated characterization of my documented experience as "false," "unfounded," and an intentional attempt to "sabotage" their business is highly telling of this company. Their public assertion that they know my subjective intent - despite having no basis to establish my state of mind - reflects a serious disregard for basic legal principles and may expose the company to serious legal consequences for publishing false statements about my motives as though they were established fact. In my opinion, this company's response to criticism has become EXTREMELY AGGRESSIVE and appears focused on discrediting and SILENCING me. I view the continued accusations and communications as increasingly HARASSING. I have contacted counsel, and I will preserve all communications. I am also prepared to contact appropriate authorities. Update: The company's response below speaks for itself. I find its tone defensive, unprofessional, and threatening. After I described my own experience in my first review, the company sent me an unwanted private message through Yelp asking me to remove my review. Then Yelp removed my review. Now that I wrote about my direct experience with them after receiving their private message through Yelp - It has now publicly characterized my statements as "unfounded claims,", and instructed me to "refrain" from making them. I view this pattern of conduct, including the unwanted private Yelp message and the language in the company's public response, as an attempt to pressure and intimidate me into silence. Both of my reviews describe my truthful experiences, observations, opinions, and impressions. My original review clearly stated that the recruiting email came from a third party referencing LA Solar Group and the CEO. I did not state that LA Solar Group itself sent that email. I have already asked LA Solar Group to cease contacting me. I do not consent to further communications regarding my reviews. I stand by my reviews and strongly suggest that the company have its counsel review their actual language before publicly and falsely accusing me of making "unfounded claims." I am preserving all communications and reserve all rights and remedies available to me. I also reserve the right to expand my review to other platforms, including my own blog, particularly in light of the company's accusatory and threatening response and its characterization of my statements in a manner I believe is completely false and misleading. Any further public discussion by me will remain based on my documented experiences, the company's own communications, and my opinions and impressions. As already stated in my response to your unwanted and unsolicited private message, as well as in my review, refrain from contacting me further, whether through private messages, public responses, or any other direct or indirect communication concerning my reviews. If this unwanted contact continues, I will immediately involve counsel, and pursue any other legal remedies available. Original Review: LA Solar Group sent me an unsolicited private message through Yelp asking me to remove my review after I shared my truthful experience regarding an unsolicited recruiting email I received at 4:01 a.m. Yelp then removed my first review on the stated basis that I was not a customer. I believe LA Solar Group contacted Yelp regarding that review. I consider the unsolicited private message through Yelp asking me to remove my review to be unwanted contact and an attempt to pressure me into removing criticism of the company based on my experience. This second review is due to the direct unwanted Yelp communication I personally received from the company. I have asked LA Solar Group to cease contact. I am preserving all communications and reserve the right to involve, appropriate authorities, and pursue any legal remedies available to me if further any unwanted contact occurs.

I originally had a positive experience with California Solar Electric during my 10.12 kW solar and Powerwall 3 installation last year. Unfortunately, their post-install customer support and business ethics are nonexistent. I referred a friend who completed their installation months ago. I was explicitly promised a $500 referral bonus for this. After months of waiting, I tried following up multiple times privately to give them a chance to make it right, but I am now being completely ignored. It's a shame because I have several neighbors here in Fountain Valley who are currently shopping around for solar and battery storage. Fox found installation mistakes and helped identify the issue even though they aren't supposed to touch the installation, 2 panels shorted out and I need first American to fix it. The tech made some excuses for not turning up, said they had turned up at a different time for some reason, although my cameras don't show anyone at that time either.
