Celtic Axe Throwing - Austin is a separate business but housed in the Brewtorium. Yes, throw axes!!! It appears to be thing. While I waited, I thought you have never thrown axes on a board. Let's do this darn thang! Have I thrown darts? Yes! Have I shot arrows at a bulls eye? Yep! Have I gone skeet shooting? You betcha! Why not throw axes to add it to my games with a little danger? What is the worst that could happen? Loose a finger or toe...perhaps get knocked in the head from a poor throw? Well none of these thoughts scared me. I did have to sign a waiver disclaimer. This is what should have sent me sprinting out of the building. You always have to face your fear. I did it with no lost body parts...not even a scratch. It was a ton of fun. I have two girls, and over the years I've hosted Girl Scout events and multiple birthday parties here--so we know the place well. Tonight, a manager who was switching out merchandise (the stuffies) stopped to check in and see how we were doing. He was absolutely amazing with both of my girls--so kind and engaging. I believe his name was Josh. That kind of interaction really makes a difference and doesn't go unnoticed. High 5 has also made some updates: the virtual area downstairs is gone, but upstairs now has pool, darts, and slot machines, which adds a fun new vibe. On top of that, the bartenders were very attentive and on point all night. We've always enjoyed High 5, but tonight really stood out. Great staff, great atmosphere, and still a go-to spot for families and events.

They tell us to come back in 15-20 minutes so we decide we'll go to the bar that's walking distance. We grab and drink and come back, there's people suiting up, the people who had a reservation AFTER us. They did not call or text us letting us know to come since it was our turn to go. They tell us to wait so we did in our cars. After 15 minutes we go inside. A man named Sloan, apologized on his coworkers behalf and gave us some extra bottle to smash. They allocate 20 minutes per party on the website so the turn around is fast. If a party takes too long it throws off the whole schedule. Sloan was very nice and we had a great time once it was our time to go. We got to play our own music and since we brought extra things to smash we used up the whole 20 minutes.
