**WARNING** This Hideaway location was deemed "Non-Compliant" by the Tulsa Health Department as of 11/21/22. I am personally going to boycott all Hideaway Pizza locations until they can fix this major problem, and I think everyone else should too. I am unable to post the full report but it is available on the THD website. Here are some of the most disturbing violations from the report. 1. "Drain flies observed in kitchen by prep sinks and in bar floor drains." 2. Meatballs and Lasagna stored at improper temperatures. 3. "Spray bottle not properly labeled for identification." 4. "Stainless steel cleaner stored with food items on shelf." 5. "Spray bottle of cleaner stored with food items on shelf." 6. Dirty utensils being given to customers. 7. "Lids are stored dirty with food waste." 8. "Pop nozzles dirty with buildup on both units." 9. Multiple employees without food handlers permits 10. "Clean food bags stored in dirty drawer." 11. The following 14 were marked as dirty: Top of oven dirty with build up, Wheels on fryers, Exterior of robocoupe, Shelving over dough table, Holder for can opener, Knife holder, Fan guard, Wire rack over sink, Gasket on beer/keg walk in door, shelf under pop machine, splash area in pop machine, interior of bar cooler, under the juicer, liquor rack. 12. "Personal head phones stored on top of open box of gloves." I am incredibly disgusted by what I read in Hideaway's health inspection. If you look back at the reports before this you can see these violations have been occurring for years. The staff of Hideaway Pizza (especially the ones with the power to make a change) should be ashamed of themselves for continuously putting their customers health at risk. Hideaway also owes its customers an explanation as to how their restaurants conditions got so horrible it landed them a "Non-Compliant" inspection with 20 warnings given. My personal favorite local pizza joint! Hideaway has a fun atmosphere, great food and outstanding service every time I'm here. For the level of specialty pizzas they offer, I think everything on the menu is pretty reasonably priced. I love their mozzarella sticks and the half and half combo wit h friend mushrooms is a great starter to any meal. Garlic knots are also an incredible choice. Light and fluffy with lots of flavor! I'm a boring cheese pizza eater most of the time, but there are lots of great options here for vegetarians and meat eaters alike! I also love their regularly changing specialty pizzas. For those who somehow manage to leave room in their stomach after a meal, there is also a great dessert menu! Love the skillet cookie and recently tried the lemonade cheesecake--super light and yummy. Also a big fan of the root beer float! This place seemed like a local institution. You can see that they are engaged with the community and have a welcoming feel. Our server was so peppy and enthusiastic, regularly checking in and overall very pleasant. The pizza was decent. I got the thicker crust and regretted not getting the thin when I saw my coworker's thin crust pizza. My coworker doesn't eat pork, and the server went out of her way to check on ingredients such as if the meatballs contained pork. I appreciated this effort. Also they had special holiday cups which they apparently do every year, which we got refills in and got to take with us. read more

Saturday around 3pm we arrived and were immediately greeted by mask-wearing staff. Very busy, so we asked if we could be seated in the bar (no children in there). The hostess checked and said she would clean a table for us. She then came back out and escorted us to one of the lower 4-top tables. The other few customers in the bar were all socially distanced and the other 4-top next to us had a sign advising that it is not in use. The bar staff, Briana, greeted us, took our drink orders and brought waters. We were given their regular menu. No condiments on the table (good thing). My wife get a Joel Gott Sauvignon Blanc ($7) and I had the Hideaway '57 Ale in a frosted schooner ($6). We ordered 2 small Just-A-Beginner salads ($3.99 apiece). ** Note: I swear these used to be much smaller, but I'm not complaining. They are excellent! Briana asked if we wanted to hold off on ordering the pizza so it doesn't arrive with the salads (much appreciated). A few minutes after our salads arrived, we ordered a small thin-crust half Pizza of the Gods and half XTREME with anchovies. **I usually always go for the Boz for my half but I figured - Why not try something different? Good choice! My half was loaded with all kinds of good stuff. The small pizzas have six slices so the 3 slices we had apiece were perfect portions for us after the great salads. They have cauliflower and gluten-free crusts available for a slight up-charge. Our small thin crust half/half was $15.25. They were so busy in the main dining area that there was a small delay on the pizza but a manager came around to explain and ask if she could get us anything. We said "No, thanks" and appreciated her letting us know. We weren't in a hurry and there was a good basketball game on the big screen TV over the bar. The pizza was excellent as always. It was a good problem-free meal on a rather cold Saturday. For 2 drinks apiece, 2 salads and a small pizza, the tab came to $48.73. The tab has a QR code which can be scanned and you can pay the tab right on your phone (no contact). It gives you a choice of tip and because she was so good, I chose 40%. **Note: The tip was figured on the after-taxes tab ($56.32). I don't believe you need to tip on the taxes, but what the hell? If it's good, who cares? Way to go Hideaway! You've never disappointed me since I first tried you in Stillwater 46 years ago. Nice job. read more

This is a lovely little spot with amazing food. I built my own spinach alfredo pizza and was very happy with it. We also ordered fried ravioli and it was definitely some of the best fried ravioli I've ever had. If you're ever in Tulsa and craving pizza, I recommend the Hideaway. read more

The location in Tulsa Hills is less than 1 mile away from my office. Therefore, it would seems that this would be a convenient location to order pick-up. However, this has not turned out to be the case time after time. Having had a bad experience in the past, and not going back to this location for over a year I thought things would have changed by now given the numerous bgad reviews that I have read concerning this location. This turns out not to be the case. Ordered from this location last evening, ordered well in advance and arrived after the posted pick up time. As usual, the order was not ready. So I waited, and waited and decided to go inside to determine the cause. I was told they were waiting on one more pizza that i had ordered. I asked that the item be removed from my order and I would take what was ready. Magically, the item that was the delay appeared within seconds of my request for refund. I took the order and while leaving was mocked by the wait staff with overly condescending salutations (attempting to draw me into a confrontation perhaps?). The final cherry on top was when I got to my house and opened the order, it was incorrect. I have no illusions that this review or my decision not to go back there is going to impact their business. Extremely disappointed with the service we got Friday night. Our pizza took 45-50 minutes to get. We didn't get appetizers or salads or anything so just sitting there for that long was bothersome, boring, and it's not like our server came over to reassure us or anything. We also had to ask for ranch 3 times: Once when we ordered, once when the pizza was finally brought out to us, conveniently right after I asked how much longer it would be, and once again after eating a couple bites of pizza and waiting another 5-10 min for the server to check on us, we just got up and went to find our server to get us ranch. I normally am very understanding of slow service, especially since restaurant staff is half capacity, but it was not that busy. We had to ask for refills on our drinks, we had to ask for our check/ to go box. We had to ASK for everything. We didn't feel taken care of and waving our server down once or twice is one thing but every single time? Not cool. It just was a really unfortunate experience and it really made going out to get a pizza on a Friday night, what should've been a fun thing, a very frustrating thing. So we parked in curbside parking at 1:50pm well after the lunch rush and with no other cars parked in any of the four slots allotted for curbside. We were asked to move the car very abruptly by a young lady with absolutely no tact. I did ask that she allow us to park there because my husband's car was very new and specialized but she said no you need to move it. Normally this would not be an issue but this location has limited parking that is used locally. The restaurant was relatively slow when we entered possibly six tables total in use. Our service was slow and our server seemed to forget to check on our table to take our order or even refill my husbands tea at all. Had they been remotely busy it would have been somewhat acceptable however with all the employees milling around and three tables including ours by the time we finished I think there may be an underlying issue. I've never had any issues with Hideaway Pizza in Oklahoma City; however, the service here was just not the best, especially when you're trying to make a good first-impression of the place to someone who hasn't ever ate there before.. We ordered a pizza and had not received it in almost an hour. Around us, many others were waiting for their orders as well. By the time the pizza came out, our appetites were gone. As we left, we weren't given a token or code to leave the parking lot (not a local here, so if this is the norm, it's not documented very well for tourists or people new to the city), so we were stuck without knowing how to get out for nearly 10 mins. read more

Some of the best pizza I've ever had (anywhere). Fun location on 15th street with a decent amount of parking. The atmosphere is good for families or a casual/fun date. The number of beer options, while not huge, are still pretty great. Never had a bad server experience here either. Now for the pizza. People of earth, EAT THIS PIZZA. The ingredients are fresh and the crust (either hand tossed or thin crust) is perfection. The choices feel limitless, as you can mix and match any pizza by halves without any question. They even have a pizza where each slice has different meats or veggies! My wife and I always make a point to come here whenever we visit Tulsa. Honestly, I would even drive up here (we live in Dallas) JUST to get some of this pizza. It's that good. read more

Hideaway is a fun Oklahoma establishment. I have been many times to the Cherry Street location in Tulsa, and my favorite pizza by far is the Totally Truffled! I also love the fried mushroom appetizer! The vibe and decor is very fun and casual. It is a great location for groups as well. Though I probably could eat a whole pizza by myself, I think the your best bet is to split with someone (or your whole family). Hideaway will do half and half pizzas so that is very nice! On my most recent venture to Hideaway, I was interested in enjoying an adult beverage. I ordered a skinny margarita. They said it only had 100 calories in it, and I'm just going to choose to believe them. It was very strong and flavorful! Hideaway is a fun place to go with friends, family, and large groups. I asked a hipster downtown where to go in Tulsa for food that I couldn't find anywhere else. He sent me to Hideaway. In a trendy spot in town, Hideaway plays the part. With a touch of the psychedelic and a rootedness in local culture, I really felt that, as a visitor, I had come to a place where I could experience that which is Tulsa. The food was good, though not stellar, but this is the sort of place where, if I lived in town, a group of friends and I would go if we were looking for something to do some evening. I was lucky that day to be a party of one. Otherwise, I would have had to have waited for seating. This is obviously a popular place and I'm not surprised why. I did get the impression that if there was any type of pizza on the planet that I wanted, they would have done their best to make it for me. However, I did not think to ask for pickles and Ice cream pizza. They have a wide range of sauces and toppings from which to choose, so, options are always an option here. If you're looking for good pizza in Oklahoma, look no further. Hideaway is creative and saucy when it comes to making pizza. It's a great place to come for a drink and a slice of pie after work or after class if you're at TU. The staff is comprised of mostly hip students who are all very nice. The service is also top notch. I've never had any run ins with the staff and they're always prompt to respond, even if they're busy. The tie dye staff t-shirts, the kites on the ceiling and the local themed art on the walls are all very kitschy but not in an entirely bad way. It evokes local color and a sense of welcoming. You must go here if you haven't. They have really inventive pizzas and you can customize them anyway you want. My favorites: Pizza of the Gods, The Mediterranean, Little Kahuna, and the Pesto Bruschetta. read more

I would have voted 5 stars except it really depends on which location you go to. The original location in Stillwater is still the best, but there are one or two locations in Tulsa that are really good. First location is 15th, and the 2nd is Harvard.
