Hideaway Pizza is simply a five-star gem, despite being a tad overpriced. It's the kind of place that makes you overlook the cost because the food is just that good. In fact, it's one of the reasons we relocated to Oklahoma, and we've never looked back. Yes, it's true that Hideaway Pizza can be a bit on the expensive side, but it's a classic case of "you get what you pay for." And what you get is an explosion of delicious flavors that makes every dollar worth it. The taste alone is enough to justify the price tag. The love for Hideaway Pizza runs deep, and it's easy to see why. The combination of quality ingredients, innovative toppings, and perfectly baked crust creates a pizza experience that's second to none. The menu offers a variety of options to cater to different tastes, making it a favorite for everyone in the family. It's not just about the food; it's about the memories and the sense of home that Hideaway Pizza brings to the table. Whether it's a family gathering or a casual dinner date, this place has a way of making every occasion special. In conclusion, Hideaway Pizza is a treasure in Oklahoma, and the slightly higher price tag is a small sacrifice for the delightful culinary journey it offers. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out on some seriously yummy stuff. This is more than a pizza joint; it's a tradition, a destination, and a taste of what makes Oklahoma special. Five stars all the way! read more

I am not kidding when I say this pizza led me to reconsider all my life choices leading up to the moment I unfortunately took my first bite. I will create a time machine to go back to where I never had to eat that so called "pizza" because it is forever engraved in my tastebuds. The faint trace of its rancidness still lingers in my mouth. I lost 5 years in my lifespan because of how much this pizza messed up my stomach. Not to mention the horrific what they claim to be "service" but that is far from it. Not only did I sit there for 40 minutes for them to take my drink order, but it took them 20 minutes to bring it to me (I ordered water). I should've left then, I could've avoided the horror that was awaiting me. In the amount of time I waited for my "pizza" I could've traveled to Italy, actually blessed my tastebuds with acceptable pizza, came back, and my food still wouldn't have been there. The waiting for my food and water was actually pleasurable compared to the few bites of pizza I took before my gag reflex gave out. Thankfully , the restaurant was so dimly lit that I couldn't see my "pizza". It helped me get it down better. This "restaurant" needs to be closed immediately to save the innocent souls looking to eat "pizza" here. No one deserves to go through what I did when I "ate" at this "restaurant". read more

It was an ordinary October afternoon. I was passing through Owassa on my way to the Clinic™ and decided to stop for a bite. Little did I know, my tiny, aching body was in for the greatest dining experience it had ever come in such feeble, fleeting contact with. Thanks exclusively to the incredible hospitality, workmanship, and talent of Anthony Castlebury, I no longer struggle with depression, anxiety, or addiction. Instead of driving the extra 15 miles to the clinic every month, I now simply stop in at Hideaway to get my fix. Thanks, Hideaway. Thanks, Anthony. You saved me. xo read more

Just had dinner at Hideaways in Owasso and was very impressed when the manager had to inform a party of twelve that they would have to split up or leave. In this time of national health concerns it take a lot of courage to turn away business when they are unwilling to abide by the company's safety standards. I called to ask the manager to update my tip - she answered "Marcos." She told me she was new and didn't know how to change my tip amount. Never got her name. While on the phone with her, I opened the pizza box. It was absolutely drenched with hot honey, a thick layer covered the pizza. She said "Yeah I made sure it was extra double for you." There was also something white spilled along half the crust, I believe the garlic sauce? She basically hung up on me after saying she couldn't increase my tip amount. I was going to eat the pizza anyways.... But it wasn't cut properly. The cuts were not all the way through the crust. Each "slice" had to be ripped apart and this caused the greasy honey mess of toppings to slide off... After the first few bites, it was obvious that this was old crust or something. It was TOUGH - almost the consistency of cardboard. The amount of honey covering the pizza made it impossible to taste the toppings. I'm very disappointed because I order here several times a month and tell all my friends about it. I won't order from this location again, at least for a long time. Do better.

I don't even know where to start! I LOVE Gambill's--everything about it! I've become a regular over…read morethe years and come here for my dinner to-go for every self-care home movie night. Gambill's is the best Italian food I've ever had and they are extraordinarily consistent in quality across each dish, quality across each visit, and quality of staff. Gambill's feels like a hole-in-the-wall place you just feel lucky to have found and are proud to support. They make all of their pasta fresh to order, all of their sauces and desserts in-house, and all of their pizzas are slow-fermented sourdough from a 233 year-old sourdough starter. And let me tell you, you can taste every bit of that family-owned, made with fresh ingredients, made in-house, and made with love flavor in every bite of every dish. I've gotten many things from Gambill's over the years, but I always go back to my regular order: Fettuccini Pesto Alfredo and Pesto Cheese Focaccia. The noodles are exquisite--soft and tender and perfectly cooked. The sauce is creamy, smooth, and extremely flavorful, bringing in the creamy and savory elements of a classic Alfredo sauce while pulling to the forefront the herbal flavors of the pesto in a way that strikes the precise balance. There is a ton of the pesto Alfredo sauce and it pairs just right with the noodles. The focaccia bread is loaded with a savory and powerful pesto they make in-house and smothered in fresh, melted mozzarella. It's the perfect complement to the fettuccini pesto Alfredo and you can dip the bread in any extra pesto Alfredo sauce you may have. Their Chicken Piccata is also excellent! The chicken is a tender and moist fried chicken. The sauce is creamy and generous with a nice lemon flavor that is not overly tart and with plenty of capers that provided a good balance and added an additional sour flavor that helped bring out the body of the sauce. However, the biggest star of the show is the generous bed of linguine pasta. Like all of their noodles, the pasta was delicious and soft with a great texture and the creamy sauce really complemented the pasta perfectly. Their pizza is great and the sourdough crust is a star! It has a very sweet and delicious pizza sauce that really stands out, especially compared to other pizzas. Their cheesecake is amazing! It's smooth, rich, and creamy with a dense and rich center. However, as good as that was, the standout component in this cheesecake is the crust. The crust is often my least favorite part, but this crust has a deep caramel and perhaps slightly nutty taste that was different from any other crust I've ever had. The caramel flavor profile cut through yet balanced and complemented the creamy rich flavor of the cheesecake itself for an excellent top-to-bottom bite. The cannolis are the best I've ever had and I'm not even a big fan of cannolis! They have a crunchy exterior and a rich and creamy interior loaded with chocolate chips. The service is wonderful! The staff are so nice and friendly! Any place you can frequent and be recognized and asked if you "want the usual" is a special place. I'm blessed to have even formed friendships and talk about our work and kids and life in general. This may be my longest review, but it is for good reason! I cannot recommend Gambill's enough or begin to express how much I love it and value its place in my life. If you only try one new restaurant this decade, I encourage you to make it Gambill's! 5/5 (Favorite!)

food delicious, i'd tried the eggplant parmesan pasta, and…read morewas astonished by the combination of flavors and textures, from the lightly breaded eggplant that gave a meaty texture and taste most bites, with the occasional crunchy umami of the breading, to the thick spaghetti pasta noodles that provided for more regular umami bites, to the tangy, somewhat sweet marinara that coated the noodles and splashed onto the eggplant parmesan, to a coat of mozzarella cheese with perfect coagulation that brought more of that, you guessed it, oh so nice umami taste, atop the entire dish. also, the meal was served first with a appetizer course of deep, little bit crunchy bread, i'd guess focaccia, a variety i'd tried before from a local baker from whom mom would buy. the bread was apparently baked with perfectly ample amounts of butter and olive oil, as to leave the taste of infusion of those ingredients with each bite. and the seasoned butter that came with it was butter on the bread, so to say. lastly, so rich was the meal, just water was just fine for a bev. service service was most welcoming. as the first guests of the day to the restaurant, pop and i were greeted warmly, instructed to choose a drink and sit at whichever table we preferred, and delivered the food promptly and with expert pace, receiving the bread just a few minutes before the main course. ambiance i'd been most fascinated by homey tablecloths on each of tables, that most certainly give deli, though also suggest outdoorsy picnic pattern, which, to me, blends the deli as the main attraction with the additional patio seating option.
