Hideaway pizza was great! The place has a great vibe. It's very family friendly and in a great location off University and Hardin. We went on a Saturday evening and waited about 30 minutes to be seated (party of 4). We were seated outside on the 2nd floor. It was 94 degrees outside and there were plenty of fans with misters that kept it cool and fly-free. The view of the sunset was enjoyable and there were large tv screens to watch the football games. Our waitress Kaila was very attentive. We ordered fried pickles, fried mushrooms, and fried mushrooms as appetizers. The pickles were thick, which made them crunchier, and crispy! The mushrooms, surprisingly, were very crispy given how moist a mushroom can get when cooked. The mozzarella sticks were large too! For the main course, we ordered a medium Big Country pizza, small cheese pizza and the Meatball Hero. All three were delicious! We ordered something new, something outside a traditional pizza flavor. The Big Country had polish sausage, hamburger beef, pepperoni, bacon and cheddar cheese. Again, not the typical pizza and it was soooooo good! The chips included with the meatball sandwich were super tasty too. I think they make them fresh. When the pizzas arrived we thought they look too small and maybe not enough for us. We were wrong lol. My son is 13 and he ate the entire small cheese pizza. It's a total of 6 slices, but they aren't very large. The perfect size if want to go solo or share with one other person who may not have a big appetite. The Big Country pizza was a medium size. My husband I split it but it was way more than enough. The slices are a little larger and we took half the pizza home. From a $$ perspective, we ordered 2 apps, 2 pizzas, 1 sandwich and 4 drinks. It was roughly $80 (not including tip). Costco was super busy so we ended up leaving there and noticed the pizza place across the street. Even though it was a Sunday afternoon we were seated immediately. The food and service both were really great, everything came out correct and fresh. Defintley will be coming back. read more

Hideaway Pizza off of N Hardin Blvd in McKinney, Tx is one of our top 5 favorite places to eat!!! The food, service, staff, and manager's are consistently super awesome!!! Regardless of how crazy busy they are the STAFF IS ALWAYS INCREDIBLY KIND and ALWAYS READY TO SERVE!!! I would say we eat here at least 3-4 times a month. We've tried theirs wings, salads, spicy fried pickles and of course their pizza!!! Always cooked to perfection and super yummy!!! The staff has super great energy here!!! read more

Hideaway's Pizza has turned into one of our favorite go-to spots as a couple. The outdoor patio has such a great vibe - perfect for a casual date night with good views and even better pizza. My partner and I have had plenty of nights here just enjoying the atmosphere together but it's just as great when we bring it home. Their takeout makes staying in feel like its own kind of date night, with pizza that's just as good on the couch as it is on the patio (everything travels well and it makes for an easy, cozy night at home). Whether we're on the patio or on the couch with a box between us, Hideaway's has become part of our routine together. The pesto pasta was exceptional and the food came out very fast. The staff was very nice as well.

After three tries, two takeout orders and one in-person visit, Hideaway has failed to impress. On a recent Saturday night, we were told the wait would be 20 minutes, this turned into 45, and then when our table was "ready," we continued waiting several more minutes until we eventually left. My second visit and I really love the pizza here! Tonight we had the Pepperoni pizza and it had LOTS of pepperonis! The thin crust is perfect but need try the original. Started with Mozzarella sticks and they were yummy. My previous tries were Capone and Chicken Florentine and they were delicious too. Instead of pesto we did Alfredo sauce...it's tasty! They also have a nice selection of adult beverages. I think it's our new favorite pizza place (wish it was closer). read more

Our meal came fairly quickly despite the restaurant being extremely busy and was of the highest quality. Everything was hot and the family was thrilled. The drinks from the bar were slow in coming but when they did show up, they were cold and good! Our server, Katie, was amazing! Legitimate Midwestern pizza! Remember the original American pizza? French bread crust, mid level spicy tomato sauce that's neither sour nor sweet, and delicious toppings? It still exits! The interior feels like anywhere from the late 70s through early 90s. Everything is comfortable, from the food to the ambiance. It's just missing a Galaga table at the front. The mozzarella sticks were large and crispy and gooey on the inside, tasted great. We built our own pizza - medium hand-tossed crust with curl-up pepperoni, sausage and bacon. I wish I could say it was as good as the rest of our visit but it was average at best. The curl-up pepperoni was dried out and lacked flavor. We also didn't care for the crust which kind of reminded us of DiGiornio if I'm being honest. The prices though were excellent. We fed 2 adults and one 12 year old for just over $50 before tip. It's hard to find that kind of value these days. Next time, because we'd definitely try it again, we'll go for something else or try the thin crust. Overall, I'd recommend. read more

Mozzarella sticks were amazing.. super cheesy and fried to perfection. Almost full from those alone. Did a build your own pizza: hand tossed, marinara sauce, cheese, green peppers, and ground beef. The service is awful, came in with my daughter, had to ask for silverware 3 times from 2 different people. We orders an appetizer that was supposed to come with sauces, person who delivered the food dropped it ran. My daughter's food came out first and then I waited 10 minutes after to get mine. I love this establishment. I've gone several times. They have a great happy hour with really innocent ones. The chicken wings are amazing. The pizza is amazing also. I've always had a good time. Same old story. Great product and terrible service. Seated for 46 minutes then finally got our drinks, tack on another half hour for food/appetizers to arrive. Fist time to visit and we decided to try it at lunch, our order took almost 45 minutes to get to the table. Pizza was not great and had tons of sauce after we asked for light sauce on the pizza and it was over cooked with the crust being black in some spots. Don't think we will be back. read more

Our waitress never came back to our table after she took our order. $75 for pizza and drink she never stopped by to see if we needed anything, no drink refills had to ask the manager for a box our check and refills. When I say I was excited to hear Hideaway was coming to my very own neighborhood in McKinney, it's an understatement. I loved it when I worked in OKC and missed it when I left, so I've been counting down the days to when it opened. We were lucky enough to grab a reservation during the soft opening and it was everything I remembered. Excellent customer service with happy staff and management. Well made drinks. Fun atmosphere (I love the kites!). And the best pizza/wings combo ever. I really think Hideway nails the old school pizza parlor wings but then they still keep the pizza options fresh and interesting. There is plenty of good pizza to be found but Hideaway's makes me the happiest. Thanks to whomever chose this plot of land as the newest location! read more

This is a review on service and not the food because I was never served any food. Was seated and waited 10 minutes before leaving. Three other tables sat after us were all offered service before us. Food may be great but what a terrible first experience. Bad enough I will not be back. Too many proven great places to eat in the area to waste my time visiting a restaurant that doesn't see value in my business. read more
