If I could give zero stars, I would. I brought in a dress to be hemmed and pressed. When I picked it up, every clasp was missing. We had tried the dress on right before taking it in, so I know exactly how it looked. It was perfect when dropped off and damaged when returned. When I brought it up, the person at the counter immediately became defensive and rude, insisting it "couldn't have been them" because they "didn't work on that part." That makes no sense because they pressed the whole dress. It is impossible they didn't handle it. After arguing with me, they reluctantly offered to "fix it," but I had zero confidence they would do it right or in time for when I needed it. When I asked about compensation for the damage, the employee told me to get out of the store. That is how they treat paying customers: with hostility and no accountability. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. They damaged my clothing, denied it, refused to take responsibility, and literally told me to leave for asking for basic fairness. Completely unprofessional, dishonest, and disrespectful. If you value your clothes or basic decency, go anywhere else. read more

The person there miscounted my blankets twice when I brought them in, forgot them because he said his machine didn't work, only returned 6 of 8 until I called twice for him to find other 2, accused me of stealing when I mistakenly thought there were 9 blankets, and then completely started yelling at me. In addition the wool blankets had a strong sweet odor to them. He yelled at me telling me it was all my fault. Highly negative experience, even felt dangerous to be attacked in this way. read more

I read historically that this place had issues and had associated it with Heath problems. So I said, I can overlook those and give it a shot. I took a rug into be dry cleaned. Promise date was on a Tuesday. Went to pick it up and he had not even started it!!! I waited until Thursday and tried calling 3 or 4 times.... He would not answer the phone and could not leave a VM!! I tried calling again on Friday, like 6 times.... He finally answered in the afternoon and said it was ready. Offering "feedback" to him, I said you should have called me to tell me it was not ready in the first place, 2) you should have called me to tell me it was finally ready and 3) you should answer your phone, so I could find out if it was ready!!! He said I guess that you cannot please some people, I guess that you are one of them!!! Icing on the cake was a solid line on traffic from his store to the freeway... miles!!! I had a dry cleaning emergency on a Friday and needed some men's shirts and pants cleaned on short notice, as a new job was starting on Monday. I went to the Cascade Summit dry cleaners first since it's closer to me, but they turned me away stating I missed the cut off for same day service by three hours and they don't clean on Saturdays. They also said most other dry cleaners would tell me the same thing. I will never use them again, and I will for sure be back to Hidden Springs dry cleaning. They made an exception for me and were able to get the clothes cleaned and ready so I could pick them up Saturday! The woman at the counter was so nice, and she said they are a family owned business. We have used there services for years. I know the family is dealing with medical issues but this hasn't hurt the quality or good service.

I had a military uniform, Dress Blues that needed done on the same day, dropped early and they had both top and bottoms done by the time I needed them. Did a dang good job too. I moved here from Puyallup two years ago, and am so glad that I found this cleaner. I had a super reliable one in Puyallup, and to find someone as good is always a pleasure. Even after loosing his wife recently, he's always been on the spot. We had just gotten married in another state, and purchased all the linens to be able to use for the wedding and the follow-up local wedding reception. They took on the job of cleaning about 40 table cloths. After ribs, brisket, and pulled pork served at the wedding in Iowa, the table cloths came out looking brand new, folded in such a manor that when placed on the tables here they looked great. After being a faithful customer for many years, I left several items for cleaning. The owner has had some health concerns and did not properly tag my items. For weeks I would come in looking for our clothing items. At one point I went behind the counter and located several items but could not find a suit. For the next few weeks I would return looking for my suit. Each time I was told it's not here but should turn up. Finally, I asked what I should do and the owner yelled at me and said "how do I even know you brought a suit in! Now, you are asking me to pay you 1000's of dollars and I don't even know you left a suit for cleaning!" I had not asked for any money. I told him I was upset he was accusing me of lying, that I had a receipt and that on previous occasions he admitted he had cleaned a suit matching my description. I left the store very upset. I got a call 2 weeks later that they had my suit. I went to pick it up and was treated very badly. I told the owner he owed me an apology. All he said was you owe me $12.95! read more

I am horrified that when I am in town I am in the same area as some of these horrible reviewers. First off, remember there are always two sides to a story. Secondly if these people realized the amount of obscene pressure the owner is under, perhaps they'd be a bit more understanding. I have taken time to speak with the owner numerous times and his situation is something I wouldn't wish on anyone. He is working non stop and has things to deal with that could break anyone. I have had nothing but positive dealings with this business. I wonder the approach those who wrote bad reviews took when trying to resolve their concerns. Were they upfront and rude? This area of Portland seems to have more than a fair share of entitled people who think that everyone is a slave. I would hands down recommend this cleansers and would not go else where. I have been a weekly customer here for over five years, until today. I picked up some brand-new Lucy yoga pants that I had altered (hemmed). Once I got home and pulled them out of the package, I tried them on. I immediately realized that the legs were different lengths. I went back to the cleaners that afternoon and had the worst customer experience of my life. I was talked to in a demeaning, critical, mean and vulgar way.I simply asked that the pants be fixed to be the same length and was told I was trying to get free alterations, that I was wasting his time, and asked what did I want him to do about it. I told him I have never been talked to the way he was talking to me and then he referenced me as "boss". Sorry boss, what do you want me to do boss, you're wasting my time boss... He probably called me that 15 times. I kept repeating that all I wanted was for the pants to be hemmed to the same length on each leg. I couldn't understand how that was a unreasonable request. I asked him for the shirts I had dropped off earlier that day, as he obviously does not want my business and he threw them at me and walked to the back of the store and I heard him call me a bitch trying to get free alterations, probably to his wife. They run it together and I've always enjoyed chatting and talking with his wife in the years that I have been coming. She was the one, in fact, that told me they could hem the yoga pants.I truly am somewhat bewildered by the whole experience, but the hurtful and cruel way I was treated was abhorrent. Although he won't care, I will never go back. And now I am stuck with lopsided brand new $108 yoga pants that I paid $15 to be hemmed. read more

Have used this business many times but have taken items back to be cleaned in the past on my own dime. When I brought the issue to the owner's attention (very calmly) this time he called me a liar and told me I was trying to take advantage of him. I was picking up items and pointed out the same issue on the items I just paid for. He began yelling at me and was very rude!! I explained I just wanted the item re-cleaned and he went on, escalating quickly, telling me I was insulting him and it wasn't his problem/that he would never have these issues but I was dumbfounded at his statements and reaction... the items I picked up and paid for were not clean and right before his eyes. I wanted to post after my that review. I stopped back by Hidden Springs Dry cleaners this morning to see if they might have possibly found my sweater. The gentleman seemed to be in a better mood and went to look in the lost and found. There he found a sweater that had not been tagged properly. He asked if it was mine, and it was! I started to pay him and he said to just take the sweater without paying him. He said that he felt bad. Some might not consider that an apology, but all things considered, I am looking at it that way. I still feel that this establishment has some problems with organization, and from other things that I have read here, a family illness might be adding stress for them. There certainly is a problem with coping with problems properly with customers. Problems always occur eventually in business, and as I have said before, it's not the problems, but how you deal with them that sets a business apart. All that said to say this. At this time, I still do not plan on patronizing this business again. But I am pleased not so much for the return of my sweater, but for the owners different attitude when I was there today.
