Okay, first of all, whoever called this place "modern" has clearly never done laundry in downtown Sacramento. Because, no. I couldn't find any electric outlets anywhere, and I searched really, really hard for one. They seemed to be intentionally hidden and obscured so as to prevent customers from using them. The washers and dryers were clean enough, but the soap compartments on the washers were nasty. For people with allergies and skin sensitivity issues, this can be a really big deal. You'd either have to come prepared to clean the machine yourself, or end up with all kinds of random soaps and detergents on your things. The price was a little bit higher than I'm used to paying at $6.50 total to wash and dry the equivalent of 3 small loads. The parking lot seemed to be very popular with people who came to loiter and blast music. I saw at least one guy come through looking like he was looking for idle clothes to steal, but he didn't find any. My clothes did get clean and the time the machines needed was reasonable, even though the machines looked ancient and you could literally hear air leaking from the dryer.

I called around 6 different dry cleaners on Friday noon and they were the only dry cleaners in the area that could get the job done within 24 hours and ready on Saturday. Most other dry cleaners outsourced their work and don't open over the weekend. Elizabeth was friendly and I appreciated her getting the job done on time and done well. The value was at par as other dry cleaners. Will definitely be back.

At any rate, I don't feel like I got ripped off, because they took great care of my stuff. The quality is not the best I've found, but is is the best that can be found for the price. I take most of my dark and colored clothes to Bronco and my whites to a different cleaner. Bronco must use their solution for too long becasue my white clothes come back beige after only one cleaning. The cleaner where I take my whites (Greenview Cleaners) charges about $5 per garment. So I guess you get what you pay for! The staff at Bronco is very friendly and knows me and my kids by name. Note: I took my comforter to be cleaned at Bronco and I had to take it in again to be cleaned at Greenview due to a poor job. So I don't recommend Bronco for comforters.

King Star the people are friendly here and they do their work on site so the turn around time is much quicker. This is by no means a five star situation. They are flexible with their hours they say they open at 6:30 AM but I have often stopped and they have not been open yet or in the case of December 31, without notice they closed at 3PM. Not too bad for me but for the woman that needed her shirts for Jan 1 work day it was a bummer. They often ask me if something is mine, this does not make me feel warm and fuzzy. They mark everything that comes in, I know because they do not remove their tags when you pick up the item. I used to work in a dry cleaners this is not hard to do during the packaging process, but they do not do it. I haven't had any bad experiences here but some of their operation could use some tightening up. It's a damn sight better than their neighbors across the street. They did everything well but the poor treatment of customers forced me to go elsewhere. I'm willing to roll those dice for friendlier folks.
