There are moments in life when everything seems to hit at once, and this was one of those moments…read more My washing machine decided to quit, laundry was piling up at an alarming rate, my daughter was sick, I was getting sick, I have a dog and a cat who somehow contribute to the laundry situation despite not wearing clothes, and I was leaving for a work trip in just a couple of days. It was the perfect storm. When I called Brenda, she answered, and honestly, all I could muster was, "Hi! I need help." Without missing a beat, she completely understood the assignment. From that first conversation, Brenda was incredibly kind, understanding, and reassuring. At a time when I felt overwhelmed and was staring down what felt like a mountain of laundry, she made the entire process effortless. And the results? Absolutely amazing. When my laundry came back, everything was spotless, fresh, neatly folded, and organized better than I probably would have done myself. Every item looked and felt great. There is something deeply comforting about opening bags of clean laundry when you've been stressed, sick, and running out of time, and Brenda delivered exactly that. Beyond the quality of her work, what stood out most was her generosity and genuine care. She went above and beyond to help when I really needed it, and that level of customer service is rare these days. Brenda didn't just do my laundry. She rescued me from a laundry-induced meltdown. If you're drowning in laundry, short on time, dealing with life's inevitable chaos, or just want someone you can trust to do an outstanding job, I cannot recommend Brenda Bubble Laundry Service enough. Thank you, Brenda!!! So much!

Okay, first of all, whoever called this place "modern" has clearly never done laundry in downtown Sacramento. Because, no. I couldn't find any electric outlets anywhere, and I searched really, really hard for one. They seemed to be intentionally hidden and obscured so as to prevent customers from using them. The washers and dryers were clean enough, but the soap compartments on the washers were nasty. For people with allergies and skin sensitivity issues, this can be a really big deal. You'd either have to come prepared to clean the machine yourself, or end up with all kinds of random soaps and detergents on your things. The price was a little bit higher than I'm used to paying at $6.50 total to wash and dry the equivalent of 3 small loads. The parking lot seemed to be very popular with people who came to loiter and blast music. I saw at least one guy come through looking like he was looking for idle clothes to steal, but he didn't find any. My clothes did get clean and the time the machines needed was reasonable, even though the machines looked ancient and you could literally hear air leaking from the dryer.

A couple of months back, I also had a small load of dark clothes to wash, so I used a smaller machine for them. I selected the 'Cold' cycle as I always do, yet the wash and rinse cycle were both 'Hot', not even warm. Needless to say, my T-shirts shrunk...I now was a 75 year old man on a budget, walking around wearing short halter tops! A couple of weeks after that, their 60# machines were out of order, so I had to use several smaller ones. I again selected the 'Cold' cycle yet those wash and rinse cycles were also hot. Two weeks ago I used the 60# again and when adding the bleach, I noticed hot air coming from the opening. As mentioned earlier, I love this place because its ALWAYS 'squeaky clean', but because the machines offer the choice of which water temperature one requires, but the owners don't, so factoring in the price of gas and replacing some clothes, I'm sorry to say I now have to go elsewhere, I only gave it a 2* rating for the machine issues only, for everything else, I definitely give it a 5* rating.
