I've been coming here for a while, but my most recent experience confirmed some ongoing concerns. I was charged $18 to hem pants--which felt unusually high, especially since I've had the same pants in different colors altered before. When I asked about the price, the response felt a bit curt and dismissive. I've also noticed that even simple dry cleaning (like a blouse) often takes about a week, which feels longer than expected. Hemming was also a week turnaround when avg it should be 2-4 days. And with the premium price they charge they should have it ready the next day. Nowhere in the Portland, OR would accept my vomit stained suede jacket... but Lauren Cleaners took the challenge and succeeded! Grace (I think her name) was extremely reasonable and made sure I understood that the jacket would come back possibly discolored. Yes, there is slight staining (nothing I wasn't forewarned about), however it is CLEAN! For $55, I can wear my favorite green jacket again. That itself is priceless!!! Lauren Cleaners is my go to place for tailoring! They have tailored pants, blazers and sleeves but also fixed zippers, clasps, and holes in jackets and pillows. They have been able to do anything I've needed over the past 8 years! They get things done quickly but are also very high quality. THE BEST! read more

I have been to this establishment multiple times before with no issue before so this is an unfortunate report of exceptionally bad service that needs to be addressed in a public forum. I dropped a few shirts off to be laundered pressed and starched. I was in the process of being rung up and the employee refused to stamp my loyalty card because I hadn't specified dry cleaning specifically. Their own stamp card saws no stamps for alterations, which I get but what I asked for and what I paid for was cleaning regardless. She flat out refused to give me a stamp. What kind of petty asswipe makes arbitrary rules that aren't clearly stated? A petty asswipe who isn't going to get my business any longer! read more

This review does not address laundry or tailoring. I didn't have anything tailored so I can't speak to that. However, read on for all those people out there who love their silk or dry clean only tops and stain every last one! I purchased a beautiful purple silk top at Juicy Couture on sale and was pumped to wear it....only to toss a round, fat, cherry tomato dripping with balsamic vinaigrette right onto the ruffle layers by lunchtime of its debut. AWESOME. (this is why I can't have nice things. I'm a menace to fashion society.) I tried rinsing it immediately in cold water (to no avail). I scoured beaverton for club soda (to no avail). When I made it home, my summer mom (aka roommate) had club soda so I spent 20 minutes with towel in hand, soaking and lightly rubbing the stain in circles onto the ruffles.....to no avail. I was ready to give up. Summer mom recommended Lauren Cleaners since they were affordable and nearby. She's been going there for years. I didn't see great reviews on yelp for anything stain-related so I figured, "Why not? If the shirts ruined, this is my last shot." When I picked up the shirt today, the stain was GONE! It literally made my day. From now on, have bib? Will look silly eating. No bib? Dry clean with Lauren. Side note: the owner named it after her daughter, not me :P read more

The few other places I've tried always made my clothes smell like cigarettes. Not here! You turn in your items first, receive a slip, come back the day they mention it will be ready, then pay for it. Absolutely loves these people! Always friendly and she can repair just about anything! We have a BOB stroller that has been through a couple kiddos and 2 of the seams in the seat and had started to open. I stopped by when out on a walk with my son. I asked if she could fix it, without hesitation she said "yes of course! I'll make it strong!!!" I dropped it off the next day and when I picked it up this morning I was amazed!! You would never know anything was ever wrong. For those who don't know, these particular strollers are pricey and to replace the seat would've been $60+. She fixed it for $15!!! Totally recommend them for all you cleaning and alterations. They do my husbands suits and shirts and always take great care of us. THANK YOU!!! read more

We've been taking our items here since the previous owners. Current ones have been good, but take longer than most dry cleaners to get them done. I've had two pairs of slacks tailored as well and I'm not impressed. The last pair I had done, I wore only once for a few hours and the hem came completely undone. I went back to have them fix it, not only did she charge me for her poor job, she blamed me, saying I had to have done something. We've had button up shirts come back with brown spots that weren't there prior and she would charge us to clean them also. Very dissatisfied with the services and attitude. After spending hundreds there...will definitely be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I have a love-hate relationship with this location. Sometimes they will have my shirts and pants done right on time and other times it will be two or three days later. I've brought one pair of pants there to be re-sewn three times.and when I asked them to fix a pair of slacks they put a thick uncomfortable patch on the inside of the pants.so as a drycleaner they're pretty good. But if you need any of your clothes altered in anyway go somewhere else. read more

Lauren Cleaners is great! My dress shirts and pants are ready when they tell me they'll be ready and the pricing is fair. Their are two other dry cleaners nearby that I've used and I'd rather drive past them to go to Lauren's due to the friendly service and fair pricing. I also saw them featured on the news during the bad winter weather as they helped out a stranded motorist by offering shelter and food. Great people! read more

Been going here for years. They are so friendly and they are *amazing* at getting out stains. And they are really good at alterations. I just had two evening gowns altered (taken in and taken up) and they fit perfectly! Other cleaners I've tried (there have been many) either can't get the stain out, scorch my clothes, shrink them, or melt the zippers. read more

They have had my wedding dress for over 2 months now! When I dropeed it off he told me it would be a month. When we went to pick up my husband's suit (it only took a week), he said that he needed me to pre-pay. Then my husband went to pick it up and he said that he hadn't even touched it yet. He said he actually has to send it to another cleaner and forgot to send it; it would be another month. When my husband went to go pick it up today (another month later), the employee said that he lost the slip on my dress, so he didn't know which one was which and had to have me go in and identify it before he can clean it (he wouldn't let my husband identify it). When I go in there tomorrow, I'm getting a refund and taking my business elsewhere! read more

Terrible service. If I could give them a 0 I would. I asked for my clothes to be dry cleaned but instead they were laundered and pressed. There were several flaws including discoloration, ruined collars, creases caused by bad ironing, parts of the clothing that wasn't ironed, etc. when speaking to the front lady we voiced our complaint nicely. She informed us that things like that happen when shirts are laundered and pressed. When we informed her that we wanted everything dry cleaned, she basically told us that we were lying to her. The interaction consisted of her cutting us off whenever we spoke, rolling her eyes at us, and arguing with us the whole time. I would not recommend this place to anyone even if the job had been done to perfection. The customer service was terrible. Probably the worst I've ever had. This is the 1st bad review I have ever written for any company. It was that bad. Stay away from here! read more
